we've learned that hall of famer jim brown passed away last night at the age of 87 brown. sure packed a lot into those 87 years in a 9 year careers with the cleveland browns. he cemented his status as one of the all time great running backs. he led the league in rushing 8 times during his 9 seasons was named to 9 pro bowls was named mvp 3 times and of course, won a title in 1964. and define going out on top. he surprised the football world by retiring at the age of 30 to focus on his acting career year. he appeared in iconic films such as the dirty dozen and continued acting right up until 2014 brown was also a dedicated civil rights activist and advocate for other black athletes to use their platforms for change. but brown's legacy is complicated. he was arrested multiple times for domestic violence. he spent time in jail on unrelated charges and he was accused by multiple women over multiple decades. always deny those allegations. brown was inducted into the pro football hall of fame in 1971. and many still consider him the best nfl running back. the game has ever seen.
