we just cut rates during the trump years on corporations. was that helpful for the economy? was it a good thing? did it work? >> i think that if we could get to where the effective tax rate is, then we might be able to see where it is on the economy but the reality is that even by cutting to 21% we still have an effective rate of about 8% or 9% so, corporations are still able to figure out ways in which they can avoid paying that 21% corporate tax rate and so, you know, i think it is early to tell, but, look, 28% is -- was actually a pretty historic kind of new low we were up in the, you know, 50s back in 1968 when we did all the new deal programs went in. and so, i think it is time for us to kind of level that off, 28% seems reasonable under the circumstances given the historic corporate tax rate and i think, you know, a lot of people look at those headlines when, you know, the releases come out, seeing that corporations basically so many of them just avoid tax altogether and it is disconcerting when the american people, ordinary americans working for a living can't avoid t
