scott, you got a chance to speak with caltrans today. so during the day, sure, you have a better chance at avoiding the potholes. for all the drivers who got stuck on 10 want this morning, it was early this morning. did caltrans give any advice about what to do when you're driving in the dark? >> it's hard. the thing about the potholes is there are so many more. we know they're out there. i don't claim to be an expert in this. caltrans said last january, all month they found about 300. the first couple weeks of this january, more than 400. that is just locally. the odds of running one of these over is so much. we visited a body shop today where someone had two tires slashed by one pothole. we talked to one of the drivers on the 101. we saw from above, caltrans fixing potholes. what they're trying tad is a quick fix. fill them now so you can get to work safely and then try to do something a little more permanent. >> that's the thing, right? this morning they were able to fill that pothole up. by 9:00, they ha the entire freeway open. and
