not so much for seattle right now. only 4 inches for seatack, but we know if you go up several hundred feet, all of a sudden you have feet of snow. it isn't so much the snow, the entire area surrounding puget sound is hilly, so it's not like throwing snow on kansas, it's throwing snow on mountains, and people have to get from the seattle area where they work up to their nice little nest in the sky where they can actually see the sound, and you're going through big-time snows from winlock at 16" and olympia at 13". and certainly not stopping any time soon. the snow continues through today and tomorrow. it appears the way i'm looking at it now, there's hawaii back down here. the pineapple express because they used to grow pineapples in hawaii. they don't so much anymore, as i understand. maybe just a few. the snow had been through oregon and california, where some spots in northern california could pick up 15 inches of rain. i'm not saying snow. 15 inches of rain. think about what that would do for mudslides and flash fl

they've closed off a lot of the hills in and around seattle. they're the too slippery to maneuver through here. now they've become sledding and skiing and skating hill. we've renamed this mount queen anne where people are taking about everything they can, cardboard, saucers, you name it, you can see these guys are going up for another run. they really haven't plowed this hill yet. right now the big deal is the main thoroughfare. interstate 5, 90, the 405 all these areas, that's what they'll get clear first. what we're left with on the roads is what i call cookie dough and that's what's creating slippery conditions. once you get over -- about 25 miles hour, in all honesty, when you think about a city that gets about six inches, they've done a pretty good job keeping up with this. they got on it at 3:00 this morning when it started. sea-tac hasn't canceled. you would think this would shut down an airport. it has not. they've done really well with this particular storm. you know what? winter in the northwest. we get to cover storms in the east all
