4:00 pm
fox two news. this is the fourth and this latest storm is bringing massive waves up and down the coast. here's what it looked like earlier today in half moon bay, we take a look at the view from the coastal trail in the area by the way, that trail is closed due to the hazardous conditions. the rain today making for some tough driving conditions with slick roads and reduced visibility. and as we get ready for the evening commute, we're keeping an eye on some of the traffic hot spots. as drivers face another day with the windshield wipers on and in some cases a little bit of clearing this afternoon. i think i saw a little bit of sunshine out there, but it has certainly has been a tough few weeks for all of us here in the bay area with so much severe weather welcome everyone to the four. i'm alex savage heather holmes. the wet weather, though for the most part has been relentless. and this afternoon. mandatory evacuation orders remain in effect for parts of monterey county as we all braced for yet another big storm this weekend,
4:01 pm
but so far the worst fears that the moderate peninsula might be cut off from the rest of california have not come to pass ktvu mark sayer joining us now live from the town of spreckels this afternoon with the latest on the situation there, mark. how's it looking? well alex. heather does not look great. i'll tell you that much. this is highway 68. this is one of the main roads into the monterey peninsula. what you're seeing here is actually not the salinas river. this is overflow from the salinas river where it overflowed its banks. you can see often the distance behind those trees. that is the actual overpass of state route 68 over the salinas river. salinas river is more than 100 miles long. that's why heavy rains occurring a day or two ago can dramatically impact what is happening here and why evacuation orders have been issued. like many others, melissa czarnecki is under an evacuation order. but at this point has not left her home in the community of spreckels. police came to the doors and said, we are recommending that
4:02 pm
you leave. but they told us that three people on our block with the only ones that left they shouldn't be home. um but we know people are but they should be prepared to leave on a moment's notice. so it's preparation and planning is where they should be at. this is highway one heading southbound into the monterey peninsula, and this is where the area of concern is. this is the salinas river if it had risen to a certain level, this overpass might have to be closed the same with state highway 68 to the south, which also heads into the monterey peninsula and highway one southbound big sir, that is closed. due to a washout so the moderate peninsula could have been cut off from the rest of california. there's no issues with highway one at this moment in time. there's no issues with highway 68, but officials are taking no chances on the rain, the river nor the ocean tides. the state office of emergency services has dispatched to urban search and rescue teams to the area, including california task forces three and four with
4:03 pm
personnel from both the san mateo and oakland fire departments. you know the community has been impacted. from bottom to top, whether it's a facility being shut down and being out of work for a few days or your home being inundated and having to find a way out in the middle of the night. now since the salinas river is so long, exact predictions can be challenging supervisor lopez there. he tells that some farmers upstream as far away as san luis had bespoke county have been opening spillways. there have also been some levee breaks upstream, and that is likely prevented some of the water runoff from the mountains in the 100 miles upstream from where we are now from actually reaching the salinas valley. so what happens well away from here can have an effect here. it makes predictions more difficult, but still with another storm coming in this week. again. all eyes are on the salinas. river and there's certainly a lot of watching and also a lot of worrying. reporting live from near the town of spreckels in monterey county. i'm mark sayer , ktvu fox two news. that certainly is the concern with
4:04 pm
more rain on the way, mark. thank you. the california office of emergency services has now prepositioned personnel to respond to our latest stormy weather, state and federal officials providing an update today on the state's response to areas affected by the winter storms. gallo es has sent swiftwater rescue resources and firefighters to eight counties in central and northern california. additional resources have also been deployed to the oakland fire department. the storms are amongst the most deadly natural disasters in the modern history of our state. the impacts of these storms have have been significant. as of this morning, there are about 6000 people under evacuation order. another approximately 20,000 people without power and , sadly, 19 people have died. fema administrator, deanne creswell was also at the briefing today and she stored toward torch she toured rather storm damaged areas today to

give president biden an update on the level of support that will be needed here in california in the future, state water officials are continuing to monitor areas forecasted to see water levels rise to flood stage in rivers and lakes. the department of water resources, says seven locations across california are forecasted to exceed flood stage and 23 are expected to reach monitor stage. over the next five days. there have been several reports of levees failing. some of the areas being actively monitored are the pa haro river in santa cruz and monterey counties, as well as the salinas river. the salinas river in monterey county . it's currently above flood stage at spreckels. and is forecast to peak this evening. it will remain about flood stage through sunday. forecasters say the russian reverend sonoma and mendocino counties is expected to reach flood stage at hop lynn today and then further downstream in greenfield coming up on sunday, okay, as we
4:06 pm
mentioned that rain is expected to continue right through the weekend, meteorologist rosemary oroczo tracking all of these storms coming our way for the weekend. we have a much stronger system headed our way. expecting another round of heavy rain tomorrow morning. another round coming in by sunday night and in between. we can count on scattered showers giving you a look outside where again we are mainly dry at the moment. we do have a few scattered showers still remaining under the mostly cloudy skies in the breezy conditions, but the soaking came earlier today, tapering off in the afternoon and leaving us with scattered showers. let's take a look at storm tracker to where there are certain parts of the bay area, receiving some light rain. still at this time over the north bay, we've got some in the hills. it looks like there and as we shift to south a little bit you can see we've got some rain and pushing through on the east end of our inland communities antioco over towards brentwood and then livermore heading in towards tracy along 5 80, perhaps over the diablo range. if we head into the mountains, the sierra mountains said it is snow levels are about 5000 ft. expected to drop
4:07 pm
tomorrow, down to perhaps 3500 ft. and there is a winter storm warning already in place. notice the end date and time monday night in this may actually go a little bit farther and into tuesday. meanwhile for us, we talked about the dangerous surf out there along our coastline with that high surf warning in place until tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. we have a wind advisory for the entire bay area that starts tomorrow morning at four am and we'll go until about noon time and when it comes to the flooding and the possibility there of coastal flood advisory for our bayside communities, as well as our north bay valley locations that will go from tomorrow morning early on until monday morning, and a flood watch that is a widespread across the entire bay area that begins tomorrow morning, and we'll also go until monday afternoon. so better details on what we can expect for the rest of tonight, moving through tomorrow and the rest of the weekend in the extended forecast when the rain is expected to end coming up. okay. see you in a bit. rosemary oroczo sinkholes are being found all across the
4:08 pm
bay area after two weeks of heavy, steady rain, and now there are fears that even more of them could open up with this next round of storms. as you can imagine, it's a big danger for drivers. one of the biggest sinkholes is on highway 92 near half moon bay, which is still closed in both directions. there's no word on when that roadway will reopen. try and understand that this is a major impact for residents who live in half and bay, but even businesses that along highway 92 as well, we have crews and also our geologists and also our engineers who are currently out there trying to get to the bottom of how this thing called did happen. and it's not just traffic that's affected by the sinkholes. the oakland zoo has been closed since new year's eve , when heavy rains forced a culvert to collapse outside of the zoo's entrance. the hope was to reopen the zoo next week. but the repair work hasn't even started because of all the rain and the delays in getting supplies. the latest prediction
4:09 pm
is at the oakland zoo might be ready to reopen early next month. oakland police score a major bust of ghost guns after people report several gunshots in their neighborhood. we look at the rising number of ghost guns, and we also get an update on a bay area officer shot by a driver armed with one of these untraceable guns. is under arrest, accused of making and selling ghost guns, and police say he was test firing those weapons right in the middle of an oakland neighborhood. crime reporter henry lee is joining us now live from the news from after talking to people in that neighborhood who felt like they were under siege, henry alex. this was a frightening situation. residents repeatedly jarred by rapid gunfire in their neighborhood, even staff at the nearby alameda county coroner's office heard these shots but now in arrest and charges against the suspect there was a barrage shooting like wrap up pop pop pop pop. elizabeth jefferson, a nurse says she's been hearing gunfire on her block in recent weeks in oakland, chabal park neighborhood reminds me of when i was under military base back home. on the wire zone. another woman who lives nearby and didn't want to go on camera says she was terrifying. i just heard a lot of bullets and i got away from my doors and my windows because i didn't know where they were coming from, according to
4:13 pm
oakland police, it turns out one of their neighbors, 33 year old michael wynne was responsible. this individual was manufacturing these weapons and these weapons not more likely would have ended up on the oakland streets. oakland police chief laurent armstrong says win was also putting many of these guns up for sale but apparently needed to make sure these weapons could passed muster with customers. it was clear that he was test firing these weapons as well with some of the evidence that we recovered inside the property. it's dangerous because these days we don't know who is our neighbor. and we can end up being dead in our house. jefferson showed me a bullet casing that she found on her driveway, possibly from the 30 caliber or a k type weapon. it all began about 7 45. tuesday night, oakland police began receiving many calls about gunshots being fired on broad more view, not far from the oakland zoo. the suspect was arrested at the police say he came out of his home wearing body armor. officers say they found a bullet casing in his driveway. police say they seized at least 20, a ar 15 rifles and handguns all ghost guns as well
4:14 pm
as tasers in the three d printer that was used to make the weapons. the chief hopes the arrest will give neighbors some measure of peace, so it really for us was as being able to double down on my commitment back in september that gun violence and focusing on removing guns from our community. in 2022. oakland police say they recovered about 1400 guns and about 25% of them were ghost guns. this defendant has been charged by the alameda county d a with firing a gun with gross negligence, having assault weapons and making a ghost gun in the newsroom. henry lee ktvu fox studios, right, henry, thank you. now we go to east palo alto, where an officer is recovering. after he was shot by a driver during a traffic stop late last night, and investigators say that that suspect was armed with a ghost gun. they say the weapon had been converted to be fully automatic with a high capacity magazine. all right for more. we're joined now by sergeant stephen called with the east palo alto police department. we appreciate you taking the time, sergeant the officer shot here
4:15 pm
last night was a five year veteran of the force able to take the suspect into custody and there were no shots fired by police. it sounds like physically the officer is recovering here, but i can only imagine they're pretty shaken up. how are they doing? yes they were released from the hospital and he's home recovering and it appears is going to make a full recovery. that's really good to hear, sergeant. but this issue with ghost guns describe what your department there in east palo alto is up against when it comes to these untraceable weapons. they're untraceable. they're not registered and their homemade, so they're very tough to deal with. let's put up here some of the numbers if we could hear what the problem we're facing in california, according to the state attorney general back in 2015, california law enforcement agency seized a total of just 26 ghost guns. now you fast forward to 2021. that number increased to 12,388 guns
4:16 pm
being seized by police departments like yours across the state. what are you seeing on the ground? you another officer's. how much more often are you coming across these illegal weapons? i like the statistics show there are a lot more prevalent in the community than they used to be. what can you tell us about this particular suspect? we understand that that he was arrested? is he someone that you and the department have come across before and where do we think he got? this ghost got we don't know where he got the ghost gun and we have come across them before, but i'm not sure what the previous altercations or context before you know, the gun in this case, you pointed out was converted to be fully automatic with with a high capacity magazine. obviously that's concerning in and of itself. how from what? you know how easy is it to buy these guns to put them together and to modify them in that way?
4:17 pm
it doesn't seem like it's very hard to do. um they're not. they're just kids, basically, that people buy online and then they put them together. no serial numbers, and they basically have a firearm that now works. so as a as a police officer, someone out there trying to keep members of the public safe. what is it that you believe in, and others in the department believe need to be done to try to get a handle on the rise of ghost guns. i think the government has to pass some sort of regulation so that they can be purchased. all right. and you your hope, obviously, is that something something gets done from the legislative perspective here in california to really crack down on ghost guns, because obviously we're seeing them proliferate and show up here at more and more crime scenes across california. we appreciate you taking the time today to talk about this issue. we we're certainly glad to hear that the officer who was hurt in that shooting last night. is doing better now and out of the hospital sergeant stephen cobb with the east palo alto police
4:18 pm
department. thank you so much for taking the time. thank you guys. you have a good day. you too. thank you. after a break brief break yesterday active scene once again when it comes to the weather, we are looking at a still a few scattered showers across the bay area at this hour and we are looking ahead to the next storm moving in on saturday. here is a view over the golden gate bridge. mostly cloudy skies mainly dry at least when it comes to the rainfall from falling from the sky. we do still have soggy conditions out there. but from the spanish point, the afternoon drive doesn't look quite as bad as the morning tribe. here's a look at some of the rainfall amounts for the last 24 hours, anywhere from 13 107 inch reported in livermore to a little bit more than 4/10 over san francisco, santa rosa, picking up almost an inch of rainfall in ben lomond in the santa cruz mountains, one inch 70 to 100, so storm tracker 23 hour time left there and again, just a few sprinkles out over parts of the bay area. the brunt of the moisture has now moved into this year foothills as well
4:19 pm
as into the sierra mountains, where it is turning over to snow. so right about 5000 ft or so our storm tracker showing you just a few sprinkles, perhaps over the north basin of our hills there into the north edge of sonoma county, san jose santa cruz mountains, seeing a few light showers and off to the east at this point, uh, going closer to the sacramento san joaquin valley for that burnt of moisture there, the future cast will show you getting into tonight will continue with the mostly cloudy skies and the scattered showers. but there's a look at five am tomorrow morning where it's coming down once again, and it is expected to be primarily a morning event. there's seven o'clock and then by nine o'clock, it's moving out and a lot of folks are thinking. oh the storm has moved on. well, we still have scattered showers in the forecast and that's going to remain, although mostly cloudy, mainly dry one o'clock in the afternoon when the niners are expected to take the field so hopefully going to see mainly dry conditions for that game. it's going to be breezy, though,
4:20 pm
as we mentioned at the top of the hour wind advisory be with us as well. by 56 o'clock we'll call call it sunset. we've got the rain, moving back in with scattered showers and then tapering off once again, but more rain is in the forecast on sunday, taking care of your saturday here we have anywhere from 2 to 3 inches of rainfall expected. we've got two wins anywhere from 30 to 50 mph. with that wind advisory starting early on in lasting until noontime with this type of storm , wet and windy. do expect the flooding the slides down trees and power lines. and of course, the possibility of that elevated rivers and creeks. better look at what we can expect for the rest of the weekend and again in that extended forecast. i do see dry weather returning more on this coming up. okay thank you so much. i appreciate it coming up next right here on the fourth white house, taking questions about president biden's 2024 run following the discovery of those classified documents.

tions today about the recent appointment of a special counsel to investigate the classified documents founded president biden's home and his former office and this is all raising new questions now about the stakes for the 2024 presidential election foxes lauren blanchard has more now from washington. the 2024 political headaches have begun for both republicans and democrats with the appointment of a special counsel to investigate former president trump and now president biden over their handling of classified documents. the president's lawyers and team has been fully cooperating with the department of justice, and we're certainly they're certainly going to do that, with the special counsel. the white house maintains president biden was not aware there were classified documents in his old office nor in his home's garage and library. the factors to be considered are was this inadvertent? it certainly appears that it was, um was there any evidence of obstruction? there certainly
4:24 pm
appears to be no evidence of that whether it will impact president biden's decision to run for reelection has yet to be seen for those questions to the president. he can speak for himself on that former president trump has already announced his candidacy for 2024. his special counsel, jack smith, was appointed back in november after hundreds of classified documents were found at his home. home in florida. republicans alleged his case is purely political. look, this is a pattern. of the doj getting involved in our elections on behalf of the democrat party. it has to stop the house judiciary committee's new chairman jim jordans, said the first thing he'll investigate is president biden's handling of those classified documents in washington. lauren blanchard, fox news. well all of this stormy weather has led to high demand for home repairs. the worker shortage, though that's causing further delays for homeowners. we take a closer look at the lack of skilled labor coming up and all the rain
4:25 pm
we've seen lately moving through the bay area. still this afternoon, we will take you outside here and give you a live look. look real quick and try to figure out where that is. oh, boy, i'm stumped. maybe the producer can help me out, but i looks like it's in the east bay. in any case, you can see the skies have sort of cleared up just a bit here. we're getting a little bit of a break from all of that rain here. take that break. we sure do. we'll tell you how the weather stands to

washington. that's exactly why i'm announcing my candidacy for the united states senate in 2024. i don't okay. the race is on for senator dianne feinstein seat, and the california democrat has it even retired yet and among those positioning themselves to replace the longtime senator is southern california congresswoman katie porter. you see her ad right there, and the congresswoman recently spoke with alex michaelson, host of our weekend political show. the issue isn't alex. so much activity surrounding position that isn't even currently vacant. exactly heather holmes for this have said they're going to wait until diane feinstein makes her decision whether to retire or not. katie porter said she may not be ready. i'm ready. i'm going in now and part of the reason this decision was so controversial also was the
4:29 pm
timing of it. she made her announcement in the worst part of the storm from this last week that was literally deadly for people in this state. she was in d. c making the announcement via zoom while people in california we're being inundated with water , and so i asked her why now? why not wait until we're out of a natural disaster? here's what she said. you could choose any day any hour to announce. why did you do so in the middle of a natural disaster? well i'm very concerned about the flooding, and i think we really illustrates again. the urgency of the matter. california is not facing just one extreme weather event once in a decade. we're seeing extreme weather over and over and over again from its wildfires now to this flooding. um and so i think it's really, really important that we elect a senator who's able to both be listening back home back in california, now touring some storm damage tomorrow, and it's still responsive to the problems
4:30 pm
that we're having at home while there folks in washington to do better, so i'm as a us senator like we're going to be dealing with challenging times. and that is exactly this moment. it really illustrates that. so this race could be very crowded, very expensive and very close this week. barbara lee, of course, bay area congresswoman told her colleagues, apparently in the congressional black caucus that she's going to run. she hasn't made that formal announcement yet. we know that adam schiff could very likely run suggested that on our show a few weeks ago, congresswoman congressman from burbank ro khanna, congressman from the silicon valley, also looking at running. plus there's going to be some republican that runs and who knows if there's another high profile person, so this is probably gonna be the closest, most competitive, most expensive senate race heather in in
4:31 pm
decades here in california certainly be interesting. alright alex michaelson. always a pleasure to see you. thank you. and you can watch the issue as every weekend here on ktvu sunday mornings at 6 30 well, the ongoing storms have caused a lot of damage to homes all across the bay area, and that is leading to a huge increase in the number of people looking for help with home repairs. just answer. san francisco based tech company that connects users with professionals in various fields says it is seeing a recent uptick in requests related to home repairs as we continue to get battered by the storms. at the same time, though, the company is also finding there are just not enough people willing to do all of that repair work for more on what we're seeing right now. and these trends. we are joined by pm weber, executive vice president at just answer, pam. great to have you on. we appreciate the time first. let's start with the uptake you're seeing here as of late since this series of storms
4:32 pm
started slamming california more than two weeks ago, how many more people are turning to your platform? for help with home repairs. sure so we generally get about 1800 applications for our expert platform experts, um , during a week, and last week we received 6000. now that was across many categories, but we are seeing a lot of home improvement and appliance repairs in recent in this recent year, and then this recent week . yeah, i was gonna ask what what? what typically are the most common types of homer home repair request that you are getting yeah. so we generally get a lot of appliance questions . so my refrigerator broke or my washer and dryer broke. a lot of these folks who are looking to do d i y repairs with the support of one of our exports, as opposed to hiring someone i don't know about you, but you know, obviously, the weather makes it really challenging for some of these experts to come out to your to your home. uh you know whether that's a problem
4:33 pm
that you might have on the inside of your home or the outside of your home that would be caused by the weather. yeah yeah, and also, as you have pointed out, there's just not enough people to do all of this work and fill all of those jobs over the last year. just answer you received nearly 8000 requests for professionals to do home repair work. i think we have a graphic here and you have just 7700 people who have applied. for all of those jobs. why why do you think it is that we just don't have enough contractors, plumbers, electricians to take all those jobs. oh gosh. that's probably an answer. that's you know, way longer than we have. but you know, obviously, over the years , we have just seen a shift into you know, people taking, um, going to college, you know, going after that four year degree and really leaving a dearth of opportunity, and some of these other, you know, more traditional hands on, um uh, careers like plumbing and
4:34 pm
electrician's etcetera. you know anyone like i said, even this week, let alone let alone this week over the last years. it's been a huge challenge to get these, you know, quality people into your home to help you with some of these problems, and, um , you know, that is again. i think that's a function of not just you know this year, but over the years how this you know, shift we've seen in in the labor force where people are moving. um you know, it's it really is. you know what i'm reading some statistics. and even, um, you know, seeing seeing in the news that you know these people, these professions there just, you know, getting older, they're retiring, and there really are not a lot of youth to take on these jobs. um you know, we're seeing the youth go into services categories. we see them. driving lifts and ubers and you know doordash ng? um you know, we don't see them go. you know they're going into these kind of more, maybe flexible careers. you know, they're not. they're not going
4:35 pm
to the traditional trade schools and, um, you know, i think we're just going to see this problem continue. over um, you know into , you know, at least in your future unless we find some ways to attract talent to these to these industries, absolutely a labor shortage across the board but obviously being felt acutely here when it comes to the home repair work that that needs to get done here. more and more for homeowners after the storms appreciate you sharing the trends you're seeing. pam weber , executive vice president at just answered based in san francisco. thanks for coming on yeah. thanks for having me. well the country's largest employer, the federal government is facing heat for allowing many of its employees to continue to work from home. in fact, the mayor of washington, d. c says that remote work is having a negative effect on many small businesses . foxes madeline rivera reports now for us from washington. if the nation's capital looks like it's back to normal, the mayor's office says. it's not many of these offices are not seeing the

into now, the national weather service is urging people not to travel up to the sierra over the martin of the king jr holiday weekend. the agency is warning that drivers in the tahoe area will face heavy snow and blowing winds leading to white out conditions. okay, so let's talk more now about the conditions in the sierra what tahoe expert kevin cooper, the founder of cooper, marketing and media, always fun to see you, coop. okay this is typically a big weekend. a lot of people like to head up to the slopes. but officials say, man, it just might be too dangerous. it's gonna be that way. heather holmes and light right now. we haven't seen a lot of winds yet today, but those are supposed to pick up over the next 12 hours and we are talking about white out conditions over i 80 highway 50 and start rich state route 88. they're still

cleaning up. we're still cleaning up after the last series of scarves. and this is another 2 to 3 ft. so you really do need to prepared if you're going to come up here for the week weekend conditions are going to be challenging on the mountains, with all the snow coming in. but most importantly, it's about those winds that you're talking talking about. it's going to make it for treacherous over the passes. if you're driving up, you have a window of now. because in the next four or five hours, the winds will pick up coupon was going to ask you if you if you could sort of look ahead here and see any any windows where it might be safe to make your way up there, but if you're not already on the road, it sounds like it's probably probably not a good idea. you know, i've been thinking about this. obviously you're getting so much snow up there at all the resorts. you know, they're just they're loving it. but but the issue is that you're also dealing with all this severe weather. you're talking about roads that are closed power outages with some of these resorts and other issues they're having to deal with here, so you know that they're not really able to capitalize on all this snow. absolutely that's a great question. that's funny. that's

the resiliency of lake tall right about all this stuff, but it's been snowing since the 28th of december nonstop yesterday. it was, was it i didn't know what to do yesterday. i didn't have to get my shovel out and have to start my snowblower. it was kind of interesting, but yeah, we've been digging out. there's a lot of work to do. mountain operations teams have been moving snow removing snow for the last since the 28 so we just have to deal through it for the next several days, and i guess to the 19th. it looks like we have an active pattern. i think the bigger challenge right now is for the county and the city and even the state and caltrans. where do we put it? all right now, if you look at the snow storage areas, there are 14 16 18 30 ft pile. so much snow. where do we put it at this point in time, and if we get it for 4 to 6 ft. it was. pilots are just going to grow. but we're already hearing from some resorts that this could actually lengthen the season. i mean, that would be good news. i heard that yesterday i was watching

you all and i saw you're talking to the gentleman over at the palisades, and he started talking about men into the fourth of july. it does make us giggle, but we need this. this is a marathon. we're still in the very beginning last year sits in my memory banks really hard right at the end of december. no snow, but this just seems to be very consistent. listening to rosemary, steve and bill and mark talked about the consistency that we're going to have seen and we're going to see make us feel pretty good 226% of seeing of the day's snowfall really good for this year and the water tables, but the resorts are challenged because they have to open each and every day and it's an arduous task. sure is, but, yeah, it's important to point out. it's not how you start the season. you finish coop. we always appreciate the time. stay safe up there. take care, guys. you have a great night. we'll see you on the mountain. okay sounds good. yeah. rosemary mint. so much snow. and yet here we are in the bay area dealing with so much rain. yes, and more to come. do see some dry weather coming our way right now. it looks like tuesday and we have

talking about the wind advisory. this will come along with when the front sweeps through and brings us the heaviest amount of rain starts early tomorrow morning. we'll go until about noon. time in the forecast here shows you that's pretty much what we're expecting notice that we've already got some orange and shades of going on over our hills about three o'clock in the morning and along the coastline even stronger than that, with shades of red and pink. it kind of takes over the bay area. here's a look at seven o'clock in the morning where we're seeing those widespread gas pickup, and then by noontime, it does begin to drop back again with the shades of yellow back in the forecast, so it's going to be breezy out there tomorrow, but the strongest ones will come early in the day. and as far as rainfall amounts, we could see several inches of rain and 3 to 6 ft of snow by the monday tuesday timeframe temperatures around the bay area at this time cooler than yesterday. of course , with the cloudy skies, the rainy conditions mid upper fifties around the bay area, and then tomorrow morning we'll go upper forties to upper fifties rain wind followed by scattered showers in the afternoon. if you are going to see the niners game 57 degrees, mostly cloudy, a few
