>> the oakland police department is facing a lawsuit by the family of an innocent bystander who was killed during a police chase is family and their attorneys held an emotional news conference today. kron four's haaziq mod-yoon has that story. we? >> just want see. the people involved in the situation that happened on that night. be punished. >> for their actions. we are here today to announce the filing of a federal civil rights lawsuit. that lawsuit is against the city of oakland for the wrongful death of lolo sick. i was killed back in june of 2022, the lawyers for the family provided this video. they say it shows a participant of an illegal sideshow traveling at excessive speed trying to outrun opd before losing control of the vehicle on international boulevard.

months. and i do think that the number of candidates in this race and the fact that there's going to be a lot of money holding back out of respect for 4. senator feinstein is going to make or decide sooner rather than later. >> senator feinstein is held the seat since 1992. political analysts say the democratic primary will be hotly contested. congresswoman katie porter, a democrat representing orange county. she launched her campaign earlier this month. >> legislators are still targeting tiktok missouri republican senator josh hawley has now introduced a bill to ban the app from devices nationwide arguing there are national security concerns. he claims the chinese government is using the app to collect information on millions of us users. tiktok has denied all of that. some lawmakers argue an outright would not solve the larger problem of protecting national security. >> it's tiktok today. it's yesterday's we need an

>> contract negotiations between nurses and marin health medical center continue almost 7 months later. like rebecca lewis say they're being asked to do more with during the pandemic. there's been a lot of moral injury for nurses feeling like you have a duty to do something. and at the end of the day, you're not given the resources to do it. >> thursday morning they took to the picket lines outside of the hospital in green break, hoping to pressure management to hear them posters and signs called for fair contracts and safe staffing. lewis says they're stretched thin and it's impacting how much time and adequate care they can provide to patients. we've lost the ability to make time with our patients. we don't have a lot of time to establish a reporter with our patients. >> when you work a 12 hour shift, you'd like to eat something or possibly go to the bathroom. but the hospital is constantly pulling those nurses so that nurse can gets

for a good game. it should be a really good matchup. and 24 hours from now, the forty-niners will be on their flight to philadelphia for their 3rd nfc championship appearance in 4 seasons. a really remarkable feat that also means just one more day of practice before san francisco takes on its toughest opponent of the season. the forty-niners have had the league's best defense all season and the eagles had the number 2 defense. they also led the league in sacks with a whopping 70 plus. they've got an mvp finalist in quarterback. jalen hurts and an explosive offense. as a result, the eagles only lost one game this season with hurts under center. and so the forty-niners no, they will have their work cut out for them on both sides of the ball. >> i because going expect the same thing. >> we'll see a this is physical teams. we are lot of veteran guys on the team. a very offensive line. just, you

starting tomorrow. that's going to break down. that ridge will see instead of an offshore wind. you see more of a sea breeze kicking and that's going to bring down the temperatures around the bay area. so these numbers going back off just a bit. and then we'll start to talk about the chance of some rain as we head through the next 24 hours, not bad and the weekend, the end of the front drops through. there you go on sunday, a chance of a couple of showers out there to look like it's going to be much maybe just a few light showers, maybe a 10th of an inch post that i think coming in the morning. but the cold temperatures kind of settling in, though it is going to be very chilly. these numbers going to be as much as 20 to 25 degrees cooler than what we experienced this week. so cold weather ahead. get ready. bank to get back to winter. those temperatures dropping off across the board tomorrow. we're going to back off a bit. highs will be in the 50's and some 60's outside. so don't expect to see the 70's for friday. but then the weekend, everything changes clouds rolling back in. that chance of showers on sunday. much cooler temperatures. highs only topping out in the low 50's and then we head toward the next weekend. well, cooler
