this tree came crashing down onto their car and onto their home and they survived. and this is dramatic. laforce has has their story. >> well, it was a big storm as we all know. and there was a huge it was the biggest gust of wind. and then suddenly there was like >> that was the sound of this massive pine tree crashing down to the home of laurie sheets during the storm saturday just before midnight here on pacific heights boulevard near highland drive in sembrano. well, you jump out of it's shocking. and then i opened the front door and all you can see where limbs. i mean, the big tree. >> so it was right here on your in your for your looks like, right? yeah. you can see where the root ball is. the tall tree once stood about 60 to 80 feet in the air and fell from the front yard of next door. neighbor money, bolt whose property sits precariously in the shadow of her neighbors. huge pine tree.

out as well. this is what it looked like in clayton this morning. the viewer tells us this drive is usually about 3 feet wide and 3 inches deep today he told us it looked like it was about 50 feet wide and potentially 6 feet deep. wow. take a look at this huge rocks rolling down to the bottom of the hill here. the fresno chp posted this video today. >> and warn people about the closure of highway one, 68 because of this rockslide, 4 lanes have been closed since this afternoon and they're asking people to avoid traveling to shaver lake because of it. the rock slide came in a region that was devastated by the twenty-twenty creek fire. and president biden has approved an emergency declaration for all of california because of the storm. damage declaration

cold, unstable air on the backside. this could make for some very interesting weather. is this going to be moving in thunderstorms? a likelihood as this system comes by, you can see some strong gusty winds, the potential. yeah, we could even see some water spouts along the coastline and some small tornadoes timing out for you. here comes going to slam in the bay area after midnight tonight. but about midnight, we could see a couple scattered showers. and there you go. heavy rainfall. 2 o'clock in the morning scattered about the bay area continuing to 3 o'clock in the morning. boy, it is going to be a rough night, but that's going to be a quick-moving storm. so i think flash flooding more of an issue with this comes through and plan on being a little bit stormy out there for the commute with a possibility of some thunderstorms. thank you, lawrence. >> in national news tonight, president biden facing backlash from both sides of the political aisle following his tour of the nation's southern border. the president's spending a few hours visiting el paso, texas, a head of his scheduled trip to mexico for the north american summit. and then a couple of days after releasing his new immigration plan,

meeting with border officers said a lot of resources already gotten for biden didn't appear to see or meet with the migrants themselves during his stop at the el paso county migrant services center. no migrants were in sight. the tour quickly criticized by republicans. newly sworn-in house speaker kevin mccarthy dismissing biden's visit as a photo-op and promising to hold the biden administration accountable. so happens he's 2 years and about $49 late texas governor greg abbott handed biden a letter as soon as he landed. >> blaming him for what he called chaos at the border. he says was caused by the president's failure to enforce federal laws. biden later telling reporters ready. his three-day visit coming on the heels of the administration's new border policy announcement which expands a trump era policy allowing officials to turn away asylum seekers expelling undocumented migrants from cuba, nicaragua, haiti and venezuela and pledging to accept some 30,000

roll that. we're going to come on shore overnight tonight and tomorrow morning. maybe a brief little break. but the wednesday, another round of some rain, not as heavy as we've seen then thursday and friday. looks like we finally may see a little bit of a break. more rain on saturday than the possibility of another atmospheric river event. some more heavy rain by the end of next weekend. >> thank you, lawrence. a colorado lawyer is suing the department of justice that it is withholding 400 documents related to hunter biden's overseas business dealings with china with russia and ukraine. this all coming as republicans could push for formal house investigation into the president's son. rich mchugh has the latest. >> inside the federal circuit court here in denver, attorney kevin evans argued in favor of his foia request, which he followed in 2020. he's asked for documents related to hunter biden pertaining to any relationship gifts and payments in any form to or from any individual or entity from the country's of china, russia and ukraine in march of
