to talk about that decade, the changes that the working class or classes experience likeo by noting uaws fraser, who at the time said that there seemed to be a one sided class war being fought against the working class. and when he's talking about that, he's talking about the sweeping economic changes and political changes that seem to undermine and threaten not just the labor movement, but the very livelihood of its members and of workers in general. let's talk just a few of those changes. some of the most important trends i$wn employment labor had to do with the sort of phenomenal growth of the labor in the 1960s. some of those, do with a slight growth in immigration, but it also had to do with the fact that more women and younger men and women were joining labor force. ironically, this occurs at the same time in which you saw decline in manufacturing productivity gains through automation and latex, tended to drive down for labor in but other notably the government sector. but also retail and clerical in the information sector in general were expanding. so unionization over the course
