move further to the east today, and we do have tornado watches in effect for portions of across the ohio and tennessee valleys. these are going to last through the early morning hours, so just a heads up for folks there. we've seen tornado warnings, multiple reports of hail and strong winds across that region through the day yesterday, and we're going to see the potential for this storm to move farther to the east through the day today. one thing to note the severe threat thought all that illim pressive but it isn't zero. we'll also see the heavy rain causing delays from i-95 to boston to d.c. so heads up it might take a little longer. and jonathan mentioned it the cold blast of air behind the system surprising to say the least. chicago has a temperature of 28 degrees for the high today. we yesterday set a high in that city for 75 degrees. really impressive temperature drops. we're going to see this cooler air continue to work its way to the east as we get into tomorrow, too. while parts of the east coast are way above normal today in the 70s and 60s, not the case tomorrow. new york city
