we've had over 6 and a half inches of rain in san francisco. oakland over 6 and a half inches of rain. almost 6 in the quarter in berkeley hayward, almost 5 and a half inches of rain over 5 inches of rain and ben lowman and almost 8 are almost 8 inches of rain in bed. lowman redwood city over 5 inches of rain and everywhere you go all around the bay area. just a ton of rain in a short amount of time. and now we've got yet another major storm bearing down on the bay area. the national weather service has issued a flood watch across the entire bay area starting tuesday night into thursday afternoon. i think the rain really kicking into gear by wednesday morning. but we'll likely see some flooding as we head toward the afternoon. that's when the brunt of that storm likely to come through and continue into at least thursday morning to go along with that. i think the winds are going to be much more ferocious with this next storm system coming on shore sustain 20 to 30 but possibility of gusts as high as 60 miles per hour. maybe some 70 mile an hour

building in south san francisco. that happened early this morning and left 2 homes exposed to the stormy weather. fortunately, the rain did let up a little bit today making it easier for people to get outside and check for any damage. >> 2 me upstairs, actually sustain some water damage, relocate those residents to flee back to a shelter told us. >> a few miles away in pacifica. big waves continue to crash ashore in or sharp park beach. the storm surge has pushed sand. you see it there on the beach boulevard forcing the city to close part of it for a time. crews were busy trying to clear it but said that is a big job in san bruno. 2 big trees fell onto power lines behind a 7.11 store. the power did stay on, but crews had to turn it off for a while in order to remove those trees. also, dozens of homes in the nearby rollingwood neighborhood were without power for a second day because early monday trees fell on power lines in that area. there's still no estimate for when the power might return. >> in the east it wasn't
