i'm james torres. ktvu fox two news, james. thank you. all of our recent storm damage has really affected roads and the vehicles that use them. a big pothole opened up at the woodside road exit on highway 101 in redwood city. and that was a serious hazard. yesterday morning, more than 25 cars pulled over to the side after hitting that pothole and getting flat tires. some had to be told to repair shops. caltrans says the drivers may not have to pay for repairs if they file an online claim. if you feel your your car was damaged by freeway issue, go ahead and file the claim, and then we'll review the claim and work with you to determine, um if we're at fault, you're going to be compensated or something else has to happen. the form is on the caltrans website. you'll need the date time and location of where the damage happened. you can also upload photos to back up your claim. in the meantime, the chp reminds us all to watch for debris and potholes on the roads. to be back at work today, cleaning up a mudslide that blocked part of highway one

i'm james torres, ktvu, fox two news. alright thanks, james. well, people living at a senior care facility in castro valley had to be evacuated by the county fire department after the building flooded in the heavy rain. the elderly patients from the fern lodge assisted living facility. the sheriff's office told the chronicle that it had to turn off the power to clean up the flooding, which would mean medical devices would be shut off. none of the people at the home were hurt. everybody area county has had storm damage. in berkeley. the storm knocked down trees, including this one. you see here on claremont avenue that blank the street and power lines were also knocked down, leaving nearby homes with no power for hours, and in san francisco, a huge boulder rolled down a hillside near the randall museum. it's impressive, very impressive. the size of the boulder is amazing. that rolling rock stop before hitting the rocky mountain nursery school. the school swing set in playground were not damaged, but there's plenty of cleaning up to do before it'
