today, cnn "newsroom" continues with ashleigh banfield. >> nice to see you, everyone. hello. it is 11:00 on the east coast. 8:00 a.m. on the west coast. how far is too far? that question is being asked around the world today as outrage seems to be building over the tragic death of a nurse in britain who was duped by a prank phone call from two australian deejays. both posing as queen elizabeth and prince charles. as you've probably heard by now, they said they were calling to check on the condition of prince william's pregnant wife, the duchess of cambridge, who was being treated at the hospital for acute morning sickness. we now have a photo of the nurse who committed suicide. it's being released by the london police. she was the one who took the call and passed that on to catherine's ward and another nurse released confidential information on catherine's condition. the station aired the recording of the call on tuesday and on friday, this nurse was found dead after apparently a suicide. the deejays are you off the air. they are speaking out saying they are devastated with t

i am ashleigh banfield live in newtown, connecticut. this is the day that the students go back to school after one of the worst school shootings in the history of this country. the school district is sending its children back but the school in question, no. the kids from sandy hook elementary are not going back to class today. they won't be going back to class for a while. they will go back to a school in a neighboring town in monroe. it is being readied for those children and they will return. as others have returned on a two-hour delay today. all of this as this town buries yet another of its dead. a 6-year-old girl, jessica rekos. her family will lay her to rest today. and just so you know a little bit more about that little child. she loved horses. she wanted a cowboy hat and cowboy boots for christmas. her parents spoke with abc news about their little angel. >> she was a ball of fire. she ruled the roost. >> our little ceo we called her. she was the boss. >> reporter: as they remember their child there are so many funerals that ha

ashleigh banfield is also remembering what's going on. she has a closer look at one of these makeshift memorials near a school. >> reporter: it didn't take long before this community began to start bringing christmas trees to what's become a makeshift memorial not far from the school. and there are more than 20 of these decorated trees. each one of them with stuffed animals and candy canes and bows and names and flowers. what you see mostly is the repetition of 20, at least 20, whether it's candles that are brought out, they're out out in collections of 20 to represent these victims. you also see the flowers that have been brought out from local florists. it's just remarkable that the sheer number of teddy bears that are here and stuffed animals. if you notice up here, one of the permanent pillars someone has brought out angel wings. and there's a sign below saying "we promise to never forget you." just moving a little bit farther on, you see the real collection of where this makeshift memorial started. there's a tent now, but everything
