u.s. in isolation tonight. >> the cdc says there could be more cases to come. david lee miller begins our coverage. >> second person to contract. she became ill aft treating. bowl la victim thomas erin duncan diagnosed in texas after becoming infected in liberia. some sort of safety protocol breach is being blamed for the transmission and cdc director tom frieden wouldn't be surprised if more cases appear among workers who cared for duncan. >> if this one individual was infected and we don't know how, win the isolation unit then it is possible that other individuals could have been infected as well. >> investigators are focusing on the removal of nurse's safety equipment is what could have led to the infection. president obama meeting si mean your administration official for an update on the government response to the case and cdc teams on the ground in dallas looking at ways to prevent any future issues. >> we have to rethink the way we

address ebola infection control because even a single infection is unacceptable. >> the latest incident is raising concerns about the preparedness of the u.s. when it comes to dealing with the outbreak. additional screening measures getting underway on passengers coming from west africa at five of the country's airports and other ebola patients have received care at hospitals in both nebraska and georgia. >> i'm wondering if we should have specialized teams that really are, you know, fully trained to treat and manage ebola and they are the ones that actually manage the cases. >> reporter: four american hospitals have high risk germ units. the hospital where thomas eric duncan was treated was not among them. in new york, david lee miller, fox news. >> officials at philadelphia international airport also working to help keep you safe. airport is following guidelines from the cdc and federal customs and border protection officials to identify passengers displaying possible symptoms of communicable diseases such as ebola.

there are no direct flights from west africa to philadelphia and the airport is not one of the 5us airports designated by the department of homeland security for additional ebola screenings. >> the fears of ebola are getting closer to our area. a physician nationwide television personality is now under mandatory quarantine after people saw her out this weekend in central new jersey. nancy schneider man just came back from west african her cameraman battling ebola. brad satin is live in hopewell township. what's the reaction you're hearing. >> reporter: lucy, we've been around here for couple hours. certainly there's some level of concern here. the fact is e legal for a lot of folks is so new they just don't know what to make of it. so we a short timing a sat down a local health officer to try to get some answers. quaint hopewell borough the site of the latest concern over ebola most here admitting yes, they're concerned but not frightened. >> i don't think that we should be totally panic but, you know -- >> reporter: worries started

with reports by a local website nbc news medical editor nancy schneider man who lives in princeton was spotted around town last week in the middle of a voluntary house quarantine. she and her crew had been reporting in lie beer when a cam ran man was stricken by the virus. she was supposed to isolate herself for 21 days to watch for symptoms. >> you quarantine people who are not sick don not have symptoms, that's that extra ring of protection. >> reporter: that extra layer broken when schneider man was allegedly seen inside a car last thursday just over a week after the quarantine began. another person in the car reportedly got out and walked into this hopewell restaurant where the owner tells us business was down today. patrons concerned. >> it's so contagious that, you know, if you're told to be quarantined then you have had, you know, a passing with it, then you should just do what you're told. >> reporter: she's now under a mandatory quarantine. as for the risk to customers the borough's health officer insists

low 60s but look at the visibility at the philadelphia international airport down to 3 miles. that's causing some airport delays. so take look up and down the eastern seaboard right now. you can see highlighted in red that means that we're looking at those airport delays because of the low ceilings at the philadelphia international airport. sat right and radar showing mostly cloudy skies. pockets of drizzle some fog developing. some of the steadier rains right now in southern sections of new jersey. look at the visibility down to 3 miles currently in philadelphia, down to 3 miles in wildwood as we move north and west, down to 2 miles currently in allentown and pottstown. so for tonight, scattered light showers otherwise temperatures not dipping too chilly tonight. 60 degrees that will be the low in the city. watching out for patchy fog. but take a look at ultimate doppler look at this line of showers and some very strong and severe thunderstorms off to the west. we'll have the timing of this system. it's going to be a slow mover. find out how about temperatures will soar out ahead of it and

dave, it just leaves me shaking my head here. >> reporter: no doubt about that. tonight south detectives and septa police are pouring over surveillance video trying to identify the suspect who or suspects involved in this incident. but the victim in this caisson knee forest tells us tonight he's happy to have his prosthetic leg back. >> why would she do that. >> for veteran sonny forest, jr., his game day ritual of singing songs out light the linc ended on a sour note during the eagles/giants game sunday night when a young woman swiped his prosthetic leg. >> she turned around and looked and i didn't pay her attention. i looked and my leg was gone. >> reporter: sonny says it was just after 8:30 when the inn tock indicated young lady dressed in eagles gear made off with his prosthetic left leg he had inside his electronic wheelchair. >> i was like, oh, man. she did that? >> police believe she boarded a septa train at south broad street and took off.

hours later, septa police found sonny's prosthetic leg on a train at this transportation center miles away. >> hold oh and to me. >> he went to south detectives and retrieved it. i'm glad to have it back. my back hurt now for hopping around make me feel worse. >> police poured over surveillance camera rah video overnight trying to identify the suspect but so far no luck. sonny doesn't want anybody locked up he says the female thief needs to learn a lesson. >> have a working -- have her working at the veteran administration or senior citizen home or a rehabilitation place where people don't have limbs, arms and then she will see what she could have created. >> reporter: now, sonny says that prosthetic leg costs around $6,000. coming up at 6:00, he has a theory on who might be behind this caper. lucy? >> we are happy he got it back, dave, thank you very much. >> everybody is still buzzing

about last night's big win against the new york giants. of course, i'm talking about our eagles. it was a team's first shut out since 1996. of course, you knew this. you know everything about the eagles. tonight the birds are flying hi, equal. they should be its it takes the eagles into bye week and it couldn't come at a time. house how war eskin joins us live in the newsroom. howard? >> they are flying high they're flying home a lot of these guys because they have a week off. but it actually comes at a good time the bye for the eagles with their injuries. darrin sproles will be out a little while. he suffered an mcl sprain in his knee yesterday. it will help mychal kendricks getting another week of rest along with the players getting the minor injuries to heal. but as much as anything it's a good feeling for the players to take the week off after a really big convincing win. i also know that running back lesean mccoy feels great going into the bye week. ran for 149 yards yesterday. his first 100-yard rushing game since last season.

lands a penn state off campus student in jail. university police say 20 year old is charged with terroristic threats and disorderly conduct. police say saturday night he posted on a sight called yik yak threatening to shoot people at the hub on penn state's main campus. that area is filled with restaurants and places where students socialize. police say sim is being held in jail on $100,000 bond. people who saw the post called police. >> will football return to a new jersey high school facing allegations of hazing. sayreville superintendent is weighing his options he says he's not sure whether the program should come back following the severity of charges leveled against seven of the the players. the teens are facing sex crime charges stemming from the incident at sayreville war memorial high school. the seventh student turned himself in this weekend. last night, hundreds of people from the community came together to start the healing process. >> so rare to talk about it right away. but at least they have the opportunity now to get some

connection with the theft of several pieces of building materials from one of their new construction sites. police say 32 year old bruce logan and 34 year old carlton logan charged with two counts of theft, conspiracy and selling stolen property. they're accused of of breaking into the site and stealing cast iron piping. large amounts of rebar and gallon van knifed steel plates in the middle of the night last week. police say the items are worth over $5,000. >> first lady michelle obama is coming to philadelphia this week to campaign for democratic gubernatorial candidate tom wolf. the wolf campaign says mrs. obama will appear at an event wednesday at the dorothy emmanuel rec center in cedarbrook. wolf is taking on republican governor tom corbett in the november 4th election. well right here right now, one incredibly cute baby who's on the road to recovery after receiving a liver transplant at chop. >> doctors say anna lease is among the tinier babies to ever receive such a transplant at chop and fox 29's joyce evans joins us live now with her remarkable story of survival. joyce.

breaking news in delaware coun county. three homes caught fire in clifton heights late this afternoon. three people including the

firefighter are at a hospital. and fox 29's dave kinchen is live near the scene on south springfield road. dave? >> reporter: still a very active scene here lucy. let me step out of the way and show you what's going on at this hour. firefighters here from several different departments on the 200 block of south springfield road. you can see one of three homes damaged here. heavy fire damaged right there. the bottom half, the bottom floor completely char. the top flee as well. we understand and we'll go to viewer video here to show you the intent is the of the flames. fire officials on the scene are telling us that three people were taken to the hospital including a firefighter. we do not know the extent of his injuries. but three people including a firefighter taken to the hospital. this all started around 3:00 o'clock. it went to two alarms and one neighbor actually toll thus they saw a lot of orange and heard a lot of windows popping out here. listening to what this homeowner

looking at some fog. pocks of drizzle around and also as we take a look at the satellite and radar you can see south jersey, atlantic city, cape may, wildwood we're looking at some of those lighter batches of showers not heavy rainfall more of a nuisance system right now with the warm front advancing overhead. but take look at the west. ultimate doppler showing pretty potent storm system. it's a slow mover, but take a look at the reported tornadoes through sections of the midwest, down to the gulf coast we're watching a line of showers and thunderstorms. that system is headed in our direction. but it will weaken a bit before it arrives late wednesday into thursday. the low this morning 56 degrees. the afternoon high we made it up to 64 degrees. so below the normal for this time of year which is in the upper 60s. temperatures right now, 60 degrees in pottstown. low 50s in the pocono mountains. 63 in millville. wildwood checking in at 64 degrees and 63 in atlantic city but look at the clock. tomorrow afternoon we're looking

at temperatures by 3:00 o'clock nearing 80 degrees in trenton. what about 78 in philadelphia. 77 in lancaster. upper 70s in allentown. so tomorrow with that warm front to the north, we're going to start out with some patchy fog but those temperatures will certainly sore into the 70s to near 80 degrees. so time this slow-moving system off to the west. by tomorrow morning, it's still around the great lakes the ohio river valley down to the deep south. but we're in that warm sector of the storm. moving the clock ahead as we advance toward wednesday, still in the warm sector. so temperatures wednesday once again upper 70s, low 80s but that system still off to the west throughout most of the day on wednesday. wednesday evening that's when most of the showers and thunderstorms start to arrive. so let's van the clock as we zoom in a little closer you can see it's overnight wednesday into thursday for the timing of some showers somebody gusty thunderstorms and some heavy rainfall with that system. so once again we still have a

couple more days to enjoy those summer like temperatures. but as we take look at the tropics still watching hurricane gonzalo a category one storm right now. you can see a pretty defined eye right now but some of the rain bands moving around the us virgin islands as well as moving toward puerto rico. maximum sustained winds at 75 miles an hour. mommy to the northwest right now at 12 miles an hour but it will eventually move north of puerto rico so it's not going to take a direct hit. it will eventually move back out to sea and potentially impact bermuda bite up coming weekend. so 60 for the low tonight in the city. pretty mild but you can see our next chance for showers and storms wednesday night into thursday 78 for the high tomorrow. 80 on wednesday. >> that's what i'm talking abo about. you can see i'm told the state fire marshal and local fire marshal are out here looking at this property. one of three homes damaged by a two alarm fire. we'll go to some video and you'll see just how intense it is. we also learned new information. firefighters tell us that at least one person jumped from the second floor of the home with the heaviest fire damage much that's where they believe the fire started, and it quickly spread to three other houses. three people taken to the hospital including a firefighter. we're told that this is for evaluation. so we don't know the actual extent of any possible injuries but three people including a firefighter hospitalized for evaluation. fire marshal working on a cause and a woman tells us that she helped rescue a pitbull. listen in. >> i got the owner of the pitbull and the dog in my car safe, transported them to fulcroft to a family members house. the dog safe. the owner of the dog is safe,
