skyfox over the scene of a deadly bus crash in new castle county. one person was killed. 49 hurt. self of them are critically injured when the bus flipped over tonight. >> good evening, i'm joy eves advance. i'm karen hem. this accident happened on route 1 off-ramp. dave kinchen is joining us from christiana hospital where several victims are being treat. dave. >> reporter: that's right. hospital officials went into what they call the code delta mode to deal with all of the people coming in to this locations. in the meantime we learned that this bus was being run by a company called am usa express out of new york city. investigators spent sunday night combing through the scene avenue crash tour bus that overturned on the route one off ramp to u.s. 13 north in news castle, delaware. metal is mangled and clothes are hanging out of the windows a woman was killed after being trapped under into the wreckage. crews found everyone hurt in

some way. >> you can imagine the first responders that pulled up on this including troopers, ems, fire department personnel were met with 49 injured people in varying degrees of injuries. including broken bones and abrasions. >> patients were triage and transported to four regional hospitals. three to five of the injured were critical and that a chopper even flew in from maryland to assist. the bus is unmarked and while it has new york plates, state police cannot yet say where the bus was from or where it was going. they also don't know exactly how the crash happened. >> it's going to be a long investigation here to determine exactly what happened. we have to interview the driver when he's medically cleared to ask him what happened. if he was on this off-ramp. we'll check the bus out. examine that bus, inspect that bus see if there's mechanical issues to that bus.

>> reporterbus. report state police are telling us that they are interviewing the driver now to find out exactly how the crash happened. we've learned from investigators that the bus was headed from maryland to -- back to new york. karen? >> all right, dave, thank you so much. we have a developing story. this is concerning the manhunt in the poconos. we're now learning that there are some more evidence that has been found. officers say they have found several items left behind by the suspected shooter from that deadly police barracks attack including this ak47 style weapon and even some information. let's get the latest from person on the scene. chris o'connell up there with what we know. chris? >> reporter: guys, police seem to be closing in on eric frein in fact law enforcement tell us themselves they are hot on his trail tonight. about a couple hours ago, a

flurry of activity up here in the poconos. people are scared. people are weary. many of these law enforcement up to 50 closing in trying to build a perimeter around where they think he is. deep in the woods up here in monroe county, but so far tonight, the manhunt continues. >> it is scary. i ain't going to lie to you. it's scary. >> reporter: philip henry can't go home tonight as a convoy of heavily armed law enforcement, moved into his neighborhood, he was told to get out. >> we came up here to get away from this, you know, and it's like your freedom is gone. you can't come out of the house. >> reporter: swat teams from local and state police along with federal agents from the atf and fbi have been swarming an area around the delaware state forest. they say they're closing in on eric frein. >> we're pushing him hard. he is no longer safe and i am confident that he will be apprehended. >> reporter: they won't say what kind of progress but state

police believe frein is on foot season somewhere in the deep woods up to 15 miles away from where corporal brian dixon was ambushed nine days ago. police showed off pictures of an ak47 assault rifle, ammo and maps of the area. they say the items were hidden by frein in the woods for future use. >> based on our investigation, we know that frein has prepared and planned extensively for months and maybe years. he plant this attack and retre retreat. >> reporter: it's been nine days and counting. residents are scared and growing weary. >> unnerving, to be honest with you to see -- it's almost like a military presence. >> reporter: with helicopte helicoptering flying overhead and, police everywhere and a killer on the loose in their neighborhood residents are hoping the manhunt ends soon and live here returns to normal. >> your home you don't kno knowt to expect.

make sure your doors and windows are locked. >> reporter: for many residents that has been what they've been up to over the last nine days. keeping indoors. their lights on at night, very difficult to sleep. now, rain is falling up here in monroe county. and i'm sure that's going to hamper search efforts but right now, it is just a very tense seen as law enforcement and residents around here just on e waiting for this killer to be caught. we can tell you pocono mountains schools are once again closed tomorrow because of the safety of children knowing that this killer is still out there. guys, back to you. >> all right, chris, thanks. got another story from that section of pennsylvania. horrick car crash that killed five people in that same area turns out four children who lost their lives according to police were not wearing seat belts or even in booster seats. this all happened yesterday afternoon in ephrata pennsylvania also in monroe counsel too. police say there was a 23 year old woman behind the wheel.

she lost control of the vehicle, she was trying to pass another car. and that caused that multi vehicle crash. investigators say she had her seat belt on so did another woman in the car who was also injured but managed to survive. three other drivers were also injured. >> hundreds of nurses will be off the job and back on the picket line tomorrow morning. nurses at crozer chester medical center are at strike on odds with the hospital administration over pay, pension plans want nurses say are dangerously low staffing levels. which affect patient care. the union says, they are willing to compromise but the hospital is not meeting them halfway. >> we would like to maintain the contract the way it is. we're not asking for -- they want our overtime. they want to us work three holidays. it just goes on and on. >> hospital administrators say they lost $32 million last year and according to them, they need

was related to alcohol. rutgers is offering grief counseling to students today and tomorrow. >> double shooting to night in port richmond leaves one man dead. police arrived at the 2200 block of east cambria just after 8:00 tonight. a 22 year old man had been shot multiple times in the chest and left side. he was taken to the hospital where he died. the other victim a 32 year old man what hit twice in the back. he's in the hospital in critical condition. so far, no arres arrests have bn made. >> learning a lot more about the person accused of scaling the fence of the white house and making inside the front door. that person turns out according to investigator has a knife. the suspected jumper set to appear in federal court tomorrow. fox's elizabeth prann has the details. >> reporter: federal court documents reveal the 42 year old texas man who scaled the white house fence friday was carrying a concealed serrated 95 and we're learning more about omar gonzales documents reveal he has no prior convictions or arrest

warrants. he was under the influence at the time of the incident and he has served more than a decade in the us military including three tours of duty in iraq. >> critics argue friday night should never have been a first. peter king a member of the house homeland security committee says he expects a hearing on the incident. >> and the fact they say he wasn't brought down because they didn't thinked a weapon he could have body bomb, a vest on, as we know he did are is a knife. so this demands a full investigation. >> reporter: the security breach was followed less than 24 hours later by a new jersey man attempting to end the white house complex at two separate gates before being placed under arrest. those who say the white house needs to be vigilant now more than ever and they don't buy into the fact there wasn't more drastic measures taken on frid friday. >> agents tell me it's a miracle he has not been assasinated and it really calls into question his judgment as commander in

♪ >> welcome back. clean up is underway in altoona a after a train derail many. 20 some train cars were damaged and at least 1717 of them derail. that train was hauling some passenger vans and vehicles, cars, authorities say it could be another 20 some hours or more before the whole mess is cleaned up because the tracks are badly damaged. the crash is under investigation. no one was injured. >> a break in the case of a missing university of virginia student. charlottesville police are on the look tout for jesse matthew. a person of interest in the disappearance of 18 year old hannah graham. now, they say matthew walked into the police station, spoke with lawyer and then took off in his car. so far, he's facing charges of wreck less driving and a lot of

questions from police. legal land vittert reports now from charlottesville. >> reporter: charlottesville police are calling this car a critical piece of the puzzle as they search for missing college student hannah graham and asking anyone who saw her last weekend to contact them immediately. police seized the car when they searched an employment belonging a jesse matthew a person of interest in the case. >> i believe jesse matthew was the last person she was seen with before she vanished off the face of the earth. because it's been a week and we can't find her. but somebody knows where she is. >> reporter: graham disappeared week ago after dinner with friends. police released video showing her at the president mall in downtown charlottesville. they say evidence shows a man believed to be matthew approached her and they walked into a bar toll together. now, hannah's parents are pleading for information. >> this is every parent's worst nightmare. i'm certain that everybody in this room and those watching

knows what happened to hannah could happen to their child. >> more than 1200 people joined in a massif search effort to find hannah. the search organizers says crews and volunteers were able to cover 85% of the city. >> i'm proud of the people who stepped forward to come out to be a part of this. >> from this point the community wide effort is going to be scaled back to only trained search and rescue teams but police will not rest until they find out what happened to hann hannah. in charlottesville, virginia, legal land vittate, fox news. >> kentucky firefighter injured in an ice bucket challenge has died tragically. tony, was on a fire truck latter last month when it got two close to power line. the fire captain dumped water on the marching band to raise awareness for als. two other firefighters were also injured but they've since been released from the hospital. investigators say the power line was never even touched but it

dominic m dinatale has the details. >> reporter: protesters filling the streets of manhattan as far as the eye could see sunday. chanting their demands for action to fight global warming. president obama and other world leaders will attend the climate change summit in new york tuesday and demonstrators say the time to speak out is now. >> i am marching because i want to build a bright future for my family. for my appalachia and for the entire world. >> the protest is just unof many events being held across the globe. 161 countries to raise awareness about the issue. in australia crowds faced dozens of police officers outside a convention center. 20 countries are meeting of the some of the protesters expressed scepticism.

>> we have some breaking news coming in right now. there has been a police involved shooting it happened in west philadelphia. police came out to the scene the 1500 block of frazier street in west philadelphia. just about an hour ago. because they had a 911 call. there was a man with a gun in the area. when they got there, police say they encountered a 17 year old with a gun and they opened fire shooting him in the chest. he was rushed to the hospital

and is in critical condition. no police were injured during that shooting. >> there's been a raid of houston nightclub and it turned up a lot more than just drugs investigators say. they raid add teen hot spot on friday evening following a whole five month investigation. they say they found a variety of drugs and even teens as young as 15 inside. they also think there may have been sexual assaults that have taken place there. >> when we initially got word of this club and started the investigation we were told there was a rape cage. coke cane, acid, molly, marijuana, um, ecstasy. >> four staff members were arrested. the investigation is on-going. see err ya leone reached its third final day of pretty unprecedented lock down. >> extreme strategy was designed to stem the worst ebola epidemic on record. authorities ordered its 6 million residents to stay

we saw lightning and thunder in our western suburbs. that ended. showers stretching from about the poconos, allentown down through the philadelphia area. here's that light rain moving into philadelphia hitting 95 from right now. but this is all very light stuff that backs up into our western and northern suburbs showers move through over the next hour. they extend up into the poconos once they move offshore that cooler and drier air comes in. 79 was the high today. 76 is the normal. we saw 80s earlier today. especially north and west we had more sunshine socked in with fog to are while this morning in the city. 83 lancaster. 82 in reading these were very summer like high temperatures. right now we're back into the 60s. 72 in philly. 70 in pottstown and 71 in wilmington. your fox future cast shows showers quickly exit so do the clouds. high pressure builds in for tomorrow. you'll feel a fall like air mass come on through with gusty wind also. sunshine to take us through monday. monday night clear skies into tuesday. sunshine we're looking really nice week like last week.
