rush. for kirby smart, huge victory, big one. defensive guys get to put those on and celebrate the big plays and bellamy earned with that one. a couple of knees to take and this one will be done. georgia will head home to play stanford and a run of sec games against mississippi state, coming to athens in a couple of weeks. in the conference, they don't have a crossover game against 'ba 'bama, no cross i don't evover t lsu. every week is tough in the sec but this is a big opportunity for georgia to build momentum as the season goes on.

big conference games, they've got to take care of business in these big matchups. by no means does it ruin the season. i think the irish know they can play with anybody. if you think georgia is going to be a good team in the sec, they'll be in the next five weeks only home once against ohio. to boston college next week, then to spartan state, miami of ohio here, usc will come in, stanford and miami toward the end of schedule. it was tight, it was close. georgia made the plays on defense at the end. and the trip up north for georgia will mean a very happy return. win one for jake fromm in his first opportunity as a starting quarterback. all these georgia fans have made a weekend out of it. some are

right now at 11:00, irma swirling towards sunshine state setting its sights on florida's west coast. >> irma continues to be a powerful hurricane moving away from the keys and southwest florida. >> we have the latest track just in from the national hurricane center. >> president trump keeping a close eye during a cabinet meeting. he said, we've never seen anything like it. >> i'm david culver in south florida. here is hurricane irma. we're seeing the effects now. we'll bring you a live report coming up. and this is why there's so much

barbuda. >> announcer: news 4 begins now with storm team 4. >> off the top on news 4 we have an army of reporters covering hurricane irma. storm team 4 chief meteorologist doug cameron here tonight to lead our team coverage on the powerful storm speeding closer to florida. we want to start showing you live pictures from ft. myers where you can see winds starting to pick up. right now all of southwest florida is bracing for irma's fury. good evening, everybody. thanks for joining us. i'm erika gonzalez. we start in the storm team 4 "weather center" meteorologist. with this latest track, where does it put irma and how many areas from landfall? >> only a couple hours away from landfall in key west. this eye may do over key west. i'm concerned about the island of key west, the entire area of florida. let's show you what's going on

around cuba all day long on the edge here. it didn't lose a lot of power. it is a category 3. it is starting to strengthen again. i really think the national hurricane season has underdone the track here. take a look at the latest track. i want to show you first off, just around portions of key west, down towards key west area, what are we seeing from this? already seeing not just rain but rain bands coming in. some of these have produced upwards of 0-mile-per-hour winds in the area. here is the eye right here. i really think this is going to start moving towards key west. can you see a northern jog here and already into miami. a few tornadoes have been reported in parts of that area, in towards south florida tornado watches in effect. take a look at the track, winds 120 miles an hour, winds northwest at 6. hurricane center brings it in towards the keys. it does strengthen a little to 125. this may be underdone as it's starting to get organized. wa t

coming south of tampa, category 3 hurricane with 120-mile-an-hour winds making its way right up the coast, right along the coast. this may not make the landfall on the west coast of florida. hate been trending west. may not make landfall. it doesn't matter. you're in the northeast quadrant of the storm in tampa, ft. myers, down around naples area. storm surge could be worse with this track. much more tomorrow. we'll take an in-depth look in a few minutes. >> let's get you caught up on the ground in florida. irma is expected to wallop the florida keys in just a few hours as you heard doug mention. some areas already under water. they could get between 10 and 20 inches of rain. nearly 200,000 people across the state could be spending the night in the dark. strong winds have knocked out power to several thousand si

difficulty standing up. right now we're starting to feel that next one coming. one of the things we can say, power has been flickering on hollywood beach but it's maintained for now. however, this storm is still about 150 miles from florida, from where we are right here in hollywood beach. that means there's a lot more of this to come. hours, spot night. the most intense portion of this is yet to come. that's going to be noon tomorrow at least for the effects where we are in ft. lauderdale area and down to miami. so the big concern is going to be tonight going into tomorrow and the effects we may see. >> david, i know it's really loud there, if you can still hear me, talk to me about the coastal flooding where you're at. this is no doubt going to be an issue throughout the evening. >> it is going to be an issue. en
