hello we continue with the center for disease control. authorities confirmed the first case of the ebola virus diagnosed in the united states, the patient is in strict isolation at health presbyterian in dallas. the patient has a history of travel to west africa, so far no other details about the patient are released tonight. we are awaiting a press conference from the cdc. ali gorman will have more on this news story coming up tonight at 6:00. in other news, major grocery store chain acme says credit card and debit cards have been compromised. they are asking people in delaware, new jersey, pennsylvania and maryland to take a close look at their

it's unclear why they were target targeted. and now they released this surveillance video of a nimble burglar. it happened at the 5400 block, and the culprit forced open a security door and squeezed through an opening and if you recognize the thief police want to hear from you. detectives in the lehigh valley are looking for a man that tried to lure a little girl. it happened on saturday, at devonshire park. a woman tells police that a man approached her and her granddaughter. when a young man showed up the man took off. police have not released a sketch of the suspect yet. a teacher that became a symbol of the transgender

summer like weather time to say good-bye. we are heading into october and it's time to cool the temperatures down and that will arrive by the weekend. sunshine is mixing with clouds this afternoon and this evening, and if you are out and about, in fairmount park, some flowers still in full bloom and colorful despite a dry summer and end of fall. looking at the live lineup, the winds are shifting out of the easterly direction now and a front in the southeast part of the great lakes that is set to arrive here midweek. not bad in the lehigh valley, warmer numbers to the west, notice how trenton 68 degrees, a 10 degree difference from philadelphia, 69 in beach haven

and 69 at the boardwalk, and that is really not because of increased cloud cover but because of those strong east-northeasterly winds, pushing off the atlantic and trenton 15 miles per hour and 14 in atlantic city and 9 miles per hour in philadelphia. the easterly wind will start to drop the numbers from the east to the west over the next couple of hours. satellite and radar showing a system off the coast now moving into southern new england taking the rain and clouds with it. can you see it spinning in pittsburgh and buffalo entering the center part of philadelphia. the clouds break away and move in with that overnight and the low drifts off the region tomorrow and not a lot of moisture with it. it gives us a lot of clouds here midweek and maybe a spotty shower at 75 degrees, and pulls away on thursday, much like today, the wind will come out of the northeast, temperature at 74 and that will lock in some

admitted to texas health presbyterian hospital in dallas and was put in isolation. he had no systems when he left liberia, only had symptoms when he returned to texas. ebola is not contagious until symptoms appear, and it takes direct contact with bodily fluids to spread. it is not spread through the air. but they will look into whether anyone came into close contact with the patient and they will be held in isolation and monitored. >> we have no doubt that we will control this importation or case of ebola, so it does not spread widely in this country. it is certainly possible that someone that contact with this individual, a family
