the center of this controversy. meantime, a $5,000 reward is offered to catch the band of braise and burglars in radnor township. these crimes could be prevented. sara bloomquist is live outside of headquarters in radnor with more. >> reporter: the township is posting the reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction, what concerns vest gatders here is that the burglars entered five homes while the residents were home. they entered the properties through unlocked doors and on windows. investigators

anything that was in plain view, they took laptops and ipads and cell phones and money. >> it's scary. >> they hit five homes between mid nitd and 5:00 a.m. on sunday, two on the 500 block of saint david's avenue and two on the 300 block of bell rose lane and one in the 400 block of glen mary. it was surprising that it was five different houses that was surprising to me. >> police believe the suspects accessed the homes by traveling on foot along the paoli thorndale train tracks that run behind the homes, they have reason to suspect they are part of a burglar ring, the method is the same, but police say this is a preventible crime. >> prevention goes a long way, locking the doors and windows and even during the day.

fund. katherine scott reports. >> reporter: when patrick boyle unveiled the picture of his son, the moment was bidder sweet. daniel boyle was only 21 when he lost his life in the line of duty in 1991, but a scholarship fund that his family launched in his memory has helped thousands of children. and saint veronica's school opened with this refurbished library named for the library. >> danny is gone for 20 some years but he is still remembered. danny didn't go to saint veronica but his father did. and is on the board of the catholic school. there are new books and furniture, a fresh coat of parent and along the way the school approached the boyles about naming this the daniel boyle media center after their son. >> they helped us convert this

"action news" continues with meteorologist, adam joseph, jaime apody, rick williams and h monica malpass. >> hello again, here is what is happening on "action news" tonight. the search is on for two kids that allegedly attacked a young delaware boy confined to a wheelchair, we'll hear from the victim. a fiery crash in south jersey sends people to the hospital and shuts down a major roadway and they are just familiar faces in the city of philadelphia and they are also grandparents, lisa thomas-laury has more on thousand these two were honored today. 12-year-old lakwan macke was exercising near his house on his wheelchair and he was attacked by two kids. macke's father says its not the first time the boys have attacked the boy. >> it sounds like the case of bullying that has turned criminal. the police are now involved, looking for to boys that

attacked the 12-year-old boy and robbed him. macke has been diagnosed with celebral palsy, and is in a wheelchair. he was outside doing his exercise routine and was jumped by two boys, they cornered him in the street, he tried to get away and the wheel of his wheelchair got stuck in the storm drain. we spoke to him and his father about the ordeal. >> i put my hand up to block the punch and they grabbed me and wrap it around my neck and started to choke me, which i tried to scream as loud as i could. >> any words i have to say can't be said on broadcast television and they are just absolute scum. >> the family, as you can imagine are very disappointed and t
