deaths. the latest victim, a mother outside boston, and this time it seems to be hitting the young particularly hard. an entire school district in idaho has closed until monday, after almost 40% of its students were out sick this week. kellogg school officials hope staff and students will stay home and get plenty of rest while cleaning staff gives a deep clean to all the buildings. walmart is raising wages and giving $1,000 bonuses to some workers. the world's largest private employer says the chains are all due to tax reform. starting wages for u.s. workers are now $11 per hour. a $2 increase. they mention that on the same day they mention this. that they're closing 63 sam's clubs stores across the country. the move likely means that thousands of people will be out of jobs. some stores closed on thursday abruptly, but workers only found out when they showed up and found the locks on the doors, and at least 12 stores will
