alabama -- crowned the kings of college football -- again! the crimson tide pulled off an epic comeback to beat georgia in the national title game in atlanta. and this game was a tale of two halfs. georgia dominated the first half - leaving alabama scoreless. they led at half time 13 to nothing. but in the second half alabama head coach nick saban benched his starting quarterback for a true freshman who did not play in a meaningful game all season long. but he led the crimson tide's epic comeback throwing three touchdowns including the game winner in overtime. alabama erases a 13-nothing deficit to win their 5th national championship in 9 seasons. the final score: 26 to 23. for head coach nick saban it's his sixth national title tying legendary alabama coach bear bryant

breaking overnight - the first high stakes meeting between north and south korea in two years. and out of that discussion - a major decision about the upcoming winter olympic games. north korea agreeing this morning to send a delegation to the games, including officials, athletes, cheerleaders, and journalists. the two nations are discussing ways to cooperate in the olympics and improve their long-strained ties. right now - at least seven people are out of their homes after a car came crashing through the wall of their apartment building! this is on clarendon road in bethesda. the woman who lives in the unit was inside at the time and says she was just feet away when the car hit. amazingly she was not hurt.. and the driver sustained only non life-threatening injuries. but damage to the building is so extensive.. it's been deemed unsafe to live in. caught on camera - bowie high school flooded! cell phone video shows water pouring down from the ceiling. school officials tell us this was from a burst pipe... likely because of the cold weather. no classrooms were affected -- and maintenance crews

immediately cleaning it up and fixing the problem. some parents are outraged, after learning.. a former teacher's aide at their children's school is facing child porn charges. sean kelly worked as a part-time lunch aide at cloverly elementary school in montgomery county. he's now charged with possession and distribution of child porn. after superintendent jack smith walked out of a budget meeting early last night, parents were furious. superintendent smith says he had to leave because of a family matter. school board members say they could not attend the meeting, because of the weather. school officials issued a letter friday. they say they do not believe any of the porn images recovered feature any montgomery county students. now to the latest in our i-team investigation... "faking the grade." we now know that grade-fixing scandal at a d-c high school will cost taxpayers nearly 400-thousand dollars.

now - a state of emergency in parts of california. thousands of people, already impacted by those recent wildfires in southern california -- now forced out of their homes again. rain is bearing down on the west coast... and putting the area at risk of mudslides and flash floods. about 70 thousand people are under evacuation orders... with another 23-thousand at risk. help is on the way for those frigid baltimore city schools.. less than a week after we learned dozens of city schools had no heat ... governor larry hogan is allocating two-and-a-half million dollars in emergency funding to fix the heat. at one point, 60 buildings were closed at the same time. governor hogan is not happy th

child. and this story has a very happy ending. ardianna hopkins is here with details. this all started last wednesday, when a 10-year-old boy was reported missing in prince william county. you'll remember just how cold it was. fairfax county put it's chopper in the sky to help search. it is able to sense the heat of bodies, making it easy to spot someone. they focused on a playground. they spotted that bright white image -- clearly a person. with prince william officers on the ground, they found the boy and reunited him with his family just two hours after he disappeared. new developments in the russia investigation - abc news confirming this morning that special counsel robert mueller will likely request an interview with president trump. sources say muller's team could interview trump within weeks on some limited portions of questions. but now.. trump's lawyers are exploring options short of a formal interview such as providing writte

update the commission on issues the transit agency is facing. new developments, following a local murder attributed to the m-s-13 gang.. the mastermind in the killing of a 15-year-old gaithersburg girl pleaded guilty yesterday to first-degree murder. damaras reyes-rivas was tortured before she was stabbed to death last january at lake accotink park in springfield. 18-year-old venus iraheta faces up to life in prison when she's sentenced in may. authorities say iraheta stabbed the 15-year-old just after vowing to see her in hell. iraheta is one of 10 accused ms-13 members charged in the case. a social media threat against a school in virginia-- puts officials in eight states on high alert. the threat was posted on snapchat over the weekend, threatening a school with the initials "m-h-s." that caused a
