milwaukee's north side. about 1-45 this morning, police were called to the area of holton and chambers streets. investigators say a 24- year- old woman got into an argument. that's when the suspect pulled out a gun. a bullet grazed the victim. she was treated by the milwaukee fire department on the scene-- and refused any further medical treatment. police have not released any information about arrests-- but say they know who they're looking for. an off-duty milwaukee police

driving-- and accused of rear- ending a squad car. mpd says it happened saturday afternoon near 76th and florist. the squad car was stopped at an intersection-- when it was hit from behind. the driver turned out to be a 48-year- old woman-- who's been an officer with mpd for 22 years. investigators say she was off-duty-- but under the influence. neighbors of the officer says the incident doesn't fit her character. come first her family comes first. as neighbors, i grew up with her she is like a mom to me." "she still is a person on the other side of her job. she knew she did wrong even though she is a police officer" today... that officer is suspended from her job at district four. her name is not being released at this time. the officer in the squad that was struck was taken to the hospital

child abuse charges. 24-year old kiara key-are-uh patterson allegedly subjected her infant to medical tests the child did not need.prosecutors say she took her infant to four different hospitals and urgent care facilities-- a total of 21 times since birth. doctors say the child was fine. according to the criminal complaint, many of the tests and medical procedures that the infant underwent were invasive-- painful-- and exposed the baby to radiation. the child was also allegely not have been necessary.' her lawyer said our deadline on this story was too soon... and declined to comment. it's no easy conversation, but it's an important one to have. milwaukee leaders come together ... to talk about the relationship between police and the black community. fox six's jenna sachs has the details. what will we do, to move ourselves to a different place? in the wake of unrest ... arson and looting ... a discussion about race and

we're learning new information about the bastille day attack in nice, france. police arrested eight more people in connection to the attack. authorities say mohamed bouh-lel -- a tunisian national-- drove a 20-ton truck into a crowd back on july 14th -- killing 86 people.

investigators now say the suspects they arrested this week... are linked to boo-ehl. new yorkers back on the street hit by a terror attack this weekend. twenty-third street is once again bustling with pedestrian traffic...less than a day after the main suspect was apprehended by authorities. fox's joel waldman has more. twenty-third street is once again open after saturday evening's blast. manhattan's chelsea neighborhood normal in the hours after the arrest of ahmad khan rahami. the naturalized u-s citizen originally from afghanistan is also being linked with another explosion in seaside park, new jersey.. and five bombs were found at a train station in elizabeth, new jersey.. where he lived. nats of explosion a manhunt got underway early monday... after authorities say rahami's fingerprints and d- n-a were found ...tying him to the chelsea bombing... his face also

"..we're continuing to gather more surveillance video. it's going to help us move forward in this case and make sure that the suspect is brought to justice." rahami was taken into custody in linden, new jersey following a shoot- out with police ... a little more than two days after the first explosion at a race for marines. two police officers and rahami suffering injuries during the gun battle. ayers says: "..it just sounded like pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop. and then a silence and then you just heard people screaming. and then was pretty much it." the 28-year-old now facing five connected to the shoot-out ... he's being held on 5- point-2 million dollars bail. prosecutors are still reviewing charges related to the actual bombings. meanwhile, authorities say the minnesota mall attacker appears to have acted alone --- in what the f-b-i is calling a "potential act of terrorism." federal law enforcement sources say dah-hear ah-dan dahir adan --stabbed and injured 10 people before being shot dead by an off- duty police officer

transmission. now they're focusing on miami beach. ...around the world now. syrian conflicts will top the agenda for the annual united nations general assembly meeting today. the u-n is suspending aid operations in syria. this, after aid workers were reportedly among those killed by airstrikes in aleppo last night-- just hours after the syrian military declared a ceasefire had expired. the aid convoy was part of a routine the province. the cease-fire initially went into effect a week ago. the u-s says it's prepared to extend the truce. another test by north korea... this time, it's a "space launch vehicle." the north's state media --reporting that kim jong un guided the ground test of a high-powered engine of a carrier rocket-- for a

it's a cover for missile tests since rockets can share similar bodies and engines. earlier this month, north korea conducted its fifth nuclear test, the country's most powerful to date. flights grounded, tourists stranded-- at the main airport in costa rica after a volcano erupts. local news sources say the turrialba volcano erupted four times yesterday-- sending ash and smoke up to air.the eruption forced several flights to cancel in san jose. there's no word on when normal operations are expected to resume.

today... that officer is suspended from her job at district four. her name is not being released at this time. the officer in the squad that was struck was taken to the hospital for minor injuries. repeated trips to the doctor-- leads to child abuse charges for a milwaukee mother. investigators say the mother subjected her baby to medical tests-- tests the child didn't need. fox6s bret lemoine has the story. emergency room can be one of the most stressful situations a parent can face... but prosecutors allege 24-year old kiara patterson was making frequent trips to the doctors office to harm and not heal. according to this criminal complaint filed in june, investigators say patterson took the four-month old to four different hospitals and urgent care facilities a total of 21 times since birth. police say there were 6 office visits with the childs physician, 4

of wisconsin... west allis memorial... and other... as well as one consultation with a neurology specialist.... each time the mother claiming the baby was ill. according to the infants medical records, police say patterson claimed the child had umbilical hernia surgery - but theres no record of any surgical procedure. police say patterson claimed doctors told her to dilute the babys formula - but again, investigators say theres no record of that. patterson also claimed the baby had a fever at each hospital visit... but police sy over a 100-degrees. police say patterson told the childs father the baby had cancer. investigators say no evidence of either points to being true. in fact, according to the criminal complaint, many of the tests and medical procedures that the infant was exposed to were invasive, painful and exposed the baby to radiation. the child was also allegedly 'given medication that may not have been necessary,' prompting the d-a to charge patterson with one count of physical abuse of a child.

to her father-- the firefighter-- all her life. guess what happened yesterday? -- she became his co-worker. julie collins with the family affair. inside any firehouse youll find firefighters with a close connection...but this relationship is deeper than most. 'my dad.' maria has been to work with her dad before - 'yeah, wed come visit him all the time, all of us kids.' but this time, theyre co-workers - 'it was neat, i i heard she was going to be coming here.' steve says itll be easy to work next to his daughter 'oh, its business, strictly business.' but maria will have a tougher time - 'i keep walking by him and saying dad, wheres the vacuum cleaner so knowing what to call him is tough.' this is the first and only time the two will work side by side. maria is currently stationed at med 13 - and her dad, well hes retring.
