strangulation. susan sachs was accused of stabbing a social worker back in 2004. a woman isn't shock trauma after she was shot during a domestic dispute. this was just before 4:00 p.m. sunday afternoon. police say she suffered non- life-threatening injuries. a male suspect is in custody. >> a man is dead after a motorcycle crash. this happened on east jarrettsville road sunday morning. the motorcycle slid into a utility called. the biker, matthew cavey, was killed. elijah kelley is in serious condition. last week, calvin walker

pleaded guilty to several crimes. prosecutors said he attacked a man while he was fishing in south baltimore because u.s. african american. the man is set to address the court on how his life has been impacted. >> it is in expected the judge will impose a sense at the time of the plea, 31 years. 30 years the armed carjacking, 25 years for first-degree assault. >> the trial for zachary watson is set to begin today. another trial will begin at juvenile court. >> five weeks until election day. republicans and democrats both believe they have what they need to win.

>> kate amara joins us live with the details. good morning. >> good morning. president obama will be pushing his economic message this week on it for this state campaign swing from virginia to mexico and beyond. president obama signs the small business jobs bill into law today, a move that helps democrats show they are focused on revving up a sputtering economy. >> we have to keep pushing growth to create the jobs and prepare the job the recession has done. >> campaign stops plant to help push democrats over the top in november. >> we will continue to focus on clean energy jobs and we will continue to focus on the economy. >> republicans believe the economy is issued number one.

this was in providence. the driver crossed the median and hit another car. the girl's mother and two other children or also seriously injured. the boy will be arraigned on several charges later today. >> the passengers experience more than turbulence of the way to the big apple. >> stay down! stay down! >> that is a flight attendant urging passengers to stay down. part of the landing gear was stock, forcing the pilot to make an emergency landing. none of the 60 passengers on board were hurt. authorities are trying to figure out why the landing gear failed. >> wow. that is scary. >> pay attention if you own a hyundai. so

carolinas. the warm air is writing up over the top of this cool air mass -- up warm air is wrriding over the top of this cool air mass. this will last for a while. temperatures will have a difficult time moving spirit we're in the 60's. we could get into the low 70's this afternoon. cloudy and cool. a high temperature only between 68 and 73. you will most likely not see the sunrise. rain showers likely tonight. a warm front will come through. mid 60's's tonight. the area of low pressure will pass west of us and it will direct a cold front through. we could see a cola thunderstorm on tuesday.

nice weather through the remainder of the week. scattered showers possible on tuesday with a high of 76. when state looks like a good day. another front comes in on thursday -- wednesday looks like a good day. high temperatures in the 60's with overnight lows in the 40's. >> the government is looking into a popular subcompact car. it is being investigated after receiving several complaints. there have been eight notices of the low beam headlights not working. an investigation will involve over 100,000 fits. the investigation could lead to a recall. prices at the pump are not likely to change this fall.

said she did not verify documents used to justify home seizures. a judge has been asked to throw out the foreclosures. another recalled. hyundai is recalling one of the 40,000 sonata sedans in the u.s. hyundai knows about 10 sonatas with this defect. the recall is expect to begin next month. you are paying more to fly these days. airline fees have gone up by more than 50% since last year. continental charges $20 if you asked for a receipt more than a week after you fly. it costs money to change flights on united and delta. >> jane, thank you.

he was against raising the minimum wage. made $2.5 million... working for a lobbying firm. $2.5 million? he's not really on my side. with this tough economy, we really need a governor on our side. es tax on everything you buy? that's in andy harris' unfair tax plan. 23% sales tax. a 23% sales tax will cut my business in half. would be devastating. andy harris' 23% sales tax absolutely makes no sense. 23% sales tax would really make things unaffordable. that's too high for the average american out here. i don't know how we would manage it really. don't like that idea. we can't afford andy harris' idea. i'm frank kratovil and i approve this message.
