to you stay on top of this still breaking story. also developing right now young patient was muscle weakness at children's hospital of philadelphia, now health officials are investigating whether these cases are potentially deadly entero virus. good evening, i'm jessica dean. i'm chris may. children's hospital has informed the cdc of the situation, all three patients being machine toward suffering from acute muscle weekness and changes in their spines. our pat ciarrocchi spoke to the doctor at chop about the symptoms, and the concerns. >> reporter: this is an mri of a child's lower spine. you can detect swelling, and a hazy, brighter area. >> this is an area, in the center of the spinal cord that is abnormal in it's a experience and that is contributing to the child's symptoms, which in this case is leg weakness. >> reporter: as chief of children's hospital division of neurology this has gotten doctor brenda bandwell's attention. three young patients at children's hospital are

presenting with the same weakness, in arms, or legs. >> some of these children have much sicker than others, quite a range of how much weakness a child has. >> reporter: in philadelphia all three children are under the the age of ten. now doctors are asking, if there is a connection between the weakness and the respiratory infection men as the enter o virus d68. >> we will see patient was inflammation in the spinal cord seeing this prominent involved of the gray matter is not very common and that always raises possibility of an infection. >> reporter: especially because these patients are becoming sick in a short period of time, and not just here but across the country. >> that is why centers for disease control is investigate to go see if there is a link between the entero virus d68, and the the weakness n colorado a group of eight children experienced the weakness in their limbs and paralysis, but only four had the virus. doctor bandwell has a message for families especially fur

child become weak or has had a bad respiratory illness. >> if they were to present with weakness of the arm or leg, facial movement they should seek medical attention promptly. >> reporter: test results of the philadelphia children to confirm if they have the virus are expect to be back from the cdc, within a few days. pat ciarrocchi, cbs-3 "eyewitness news". well, now latest on the ebola out break, there is growing concern in the nation's condition toll as doctors at two hospitals there are testing patients, two patients, to see if they have the the virus. meanwhile the u.s. military has begun medical testing for ebola at two new labs in liberia, and service members are starting to to build treatment care centers there. hazmat crew is decontaminating a texas apartment where the known ebola patient thomas duncan once stayed. this american cameraman sickened by the deadly virus in africa will be brought back to the u.s. for treatment. doctors at the university of pennsylvania remind thaws ebola is not transmitted

61 degrees. wind are out of the south east they have begun to shift, basically between ten and 15 miles an hour. they will continue to shift and become more southerly, cold front is heading our way and these are the indications once you see that wind begin to move. ahead of this front wind will be southeasterly eventually tonight and then rain will be beginning right after midnight. now future weather times it out we will see the clouds and then rain by 7:00 a.m. a few embedded thunderstorms possible but by late morning to the noon hour that rain is moving off to the north and east and the skies are clearing but behind that we're talking about much cooler air, so coming up we will talk more about saturday's showers, and the fall chill, the coldest air of the season moving in, and wait until you see what we will wake up to sunday morning, and temperatures rebounding next week. we will talk about that with the seven day forecast later in the broadcast. breaking news out of shanksville, where a fire is burning at the site of the

flight 93 national memorial. thick, black smoke can be seen rising from that area we are told eight fire companies are at the scene, officials say that the flames did not reach the memorial, itself. so far no injuries to report but we will of course continue to keep an eye on this, as a develops. it days 21 of the manhunt for the accused trooper killer eric frein and we have some new information for you tonight. investigators believe frein is hiding in the woods along border between monroe and pike counties. today, state police showed us a photo of the campsite they have found in that area. in the bags that were left behind police say they found tuna fish, instant noodles and ammunition. they believe that frein, left those bags behind, and that he is getting, desperate. >> we believe that food is running out and that we have seized a significant amount of that and so i believe that is yes is going to be forced to start looking to cabins and vacant homes and things in order to survive.

>> reporter: eric frein is accused of ambushing two state troopers at blooming grove barracks three weeks ago today. corporal brian dickson was killed there, trooper alex duglast was wounded. threats of violence prompted increased police presence at up are darby high school today. anonymous threats on social media attracted their attention there was several fights over the last few weeks. >> this is a show of force to show anybody who would have any type of propensity for any type of violent act that the police are here and we are here to protect the students. >> reporter: authorities say those threats are unsubstantiated but police wanted to take extra precaution to be safe. the red cross is coming to the aid of three families displaced by a fire in north philadelphia early this morning. this fire broke out the at 26th and oxford streets. fire fighters say they have encountered heavy smoke pouring from the second floor. in one was hurt in the flier, fire and causes under

investigation. it has happened again police in newtown square tell us they have arrested thomas cleary for his suspects sixth dui offense following a three vehicle crash. investigators say cleary hit two cars from behind while they were stuck at a red light on west chester pike on baron road on wednesday. officers say clear i was under the the influence of either alcohol or drugs. there is new developments on the pornographic e-mail scandal that has been gripping pennsylvania state capitol, governor tom corbett said in a least view they have found state police commissioner frank noonan did not open, original, forward or reply, to any such e-mail. two members of the government has resigned over this scandal including christopher abruzzo who was the the state's environmental protection secretary. the candidates for pennsylvania governor did talk about that e-mail scandal, on the cw philly and on kyw news radio during breakfast with the candidates on wednesday, it was a great debate, don't miss it, we will show it to

dayton some breaking news right now, there has been a roll over crash in fairmount park this afternoon. chopper three is over mlk drive near girard avenue. police tell "eyewitness news" that a 17 year-old girl was behind the wheel at this suv when it rolled down the embankment and came to a rest, right near the waters of the schuylkill river. the girl has been taken to hup, there is no word on her condition right now, and the investigation into how that crash happened, continues but stay with "eyewitness news" we will stay on top of this breaking story. we have heard of a service dogs for the disable, how about a comfort dog for the courthouse. our walt hunter today with the new employee of the montgomery county court system, and how she can make a difference. >> reporter: you might call it a tail of justice. actually, the tail of turks, the new and only four legged employee, now roaming the hallways of montgomery county courthouse. >> so today's her first day on the job, she will be a member of the staff of the d.a.'s office. >> first day of school.

>> reporter: moment folks spotted turks they began smiling and that is the the point. officially she is a courthouse comfort dog, carefully trained to relax, victims and witnesses helping them through often stressful and overwhelming search for justice. >> it is a daunting system to come through, so i'm hoping that she can they them through that. >> reporter: county investigators mcdonald hopes cuddling with turks will help victims especially children, open up, revealing, important evidence, they might be frightened to tell humans. >> they feel that their secret is safe because dog will not tell on them. >> reporter: puppy pictures shows turks as she was train, almost from birth for her job, by k-9 partners for life. it appears on her transition, from dog house, to courthouse, she definitely put her best paw forward. >> she pretty much walk in like she has been coming here her whole life. she has found her dog bedding care in the office.

61. pittsburgh, a quarter inch of rain today and 66. some warmer temperatures to the south and in the 70's. we will watch as our storm system moves its way eastward, it is same storm that brought severe weather, tornado watches and warnings to the west and south but for us it is just rain that will move through with a little bit of wind come tomorrow morning. the cold front swings through with early high temperatures in the 70's but behind it, much cooler air. rain arrives between about 2:00 and 4:00 a.m. period of rain with gusty wind between six and ten. after 11:00 a.m. we will be clearing skies from west to east and temperatures will fall, just like that. the wind will be picking up as well. we will start sunday morning, with a chill. the coldest air of the season. i know later in the season we will keep beat ago this but this will be a little bit of the shock to the system. by sunday afternoon temperatures rise, only into the lower 60's. so that cold pool of air that has already made it in the planes and in the midwest will make it here for sunday, but
