thank you. all righty. jason next at 11 we got upset and we miss her a lot, but we cannot do nothing because, nobody is next to us parents in the east bay mourning the sudden death of their daughter tonight, they are turning to the community for help as they try to determine why she was found dead across the bay in san francisco. >> so the 11:00 news on ktvu. fox two starts now. 15 year old jasmine pellegrino found dead in san francisco. but her parents say they have no idea how or why she ended up in the city. good evening everyone. >> i'm mike mibach and i'm julie julie haener. this week, her parents were handing out fliers in the area where she was found, hoping to get some answers. new tonight ktvu amber lee joins us now in the newsroom. amber, you spoke with her family? >> julie i spoke with her parents and aunt who went to the neighborhood where the 15 year old was found. they went door to door talking to neighbors and asking for surveillance videos that show the teen in the area

in hopes of finding out what happened. >> we are asking for people to, if they see seen anything. you know, we put out everywhere the family of jasmine pellegrini of bay point is in san francisco's ingleside neighborhood, where she was found dead. >> they're searching for answers by passing out fliers asking for security camera videos of her. >> she went missing from bay point. somebody. did somebody take her here? what we want to know what happened to her? >> the 15 year old's mother and stepfather, mara and sandor burany, grieve at the site where the 15 year old was found lying face down in the driveway of a home on lobo street saturday morning around 1130, the spot now marked with a flower and a flier from the family. >> we definitely need some help from somewhere, anywhere, the couple says. >> they last saw jasmine 1130 wednesday night at their family home, and that she left with no phone or money. jasmine had been released from a psychiatric hospital three hours earlier. the family says the teen had

been struggling for years with ptsd, bipolar disorder and anxiety after coping with sexual abuse she suffered as a child. mom was distraught when she tried to speak about her daughter. >> i don't think i don't think she can speak anything right now . >> jasmine's parents say she was hospitalized dozens of times in recent years. they say they reported her missing the night she disappeared. but less than three days later, she was found dead in san francisco. so a city that the family says was unfamiliar to her. >> a leg, leg, leg. >> jasmine spoke hungarian, telling her mom she loved her in a message the family says she recorded last year, the teen and her family immigrated to the united states in 2019. they say she loved animals, drawing and baking. relatives put up a small decorated cross at a park near the spot where jasmine was found. they say they have no idea how she died, but are concerned that someone may have

lured her to the city and that she may have been drugged. >> how can we cope? we want we want answers. we want to know who was with her. we want to know how did she get to san francisco? >> san francisco police tell me there are no signs of foul play so far, but they are treating this case as a death investigation, and they're waiting for the autopsy results. the family tells me the medical examiner's office says it could take up to 90 days for them to determine the cause of death. they say they will do everything they can to find out what happened. julie. >> amber lee reporting tonight in the newsroom. amber. thank you. new at 11 tonight. san francisco officials are asking for help in finding a missing teenager. supervisor matt dorsey retweeted this flier showing 16 year old mint butterfield. she was last seen in bolinas on sunday wearing a black sweatshirt and flannel pajama pants. dorsey says there is reason to believe she may be in san francisco. tenderloin. >> a new documentary about the death of alexis, gabe is premiering tomorrow night. a

free screening will be held tomorrow at sabrina's pizzeria in oakley at 6:00. the episode, titled where is alexis? will also premiere on the discovery network. the 24 year old oakley woman disappeared in january of 2022. some of her remains were found more than a year later. investigators say she was murdered by her ex-boyfriend, who was later killed by police. >> tonight, people from across the bay area came together to honor and remember people killed by drivers who were under the influence. mothers against drunk driving held the candlelight vigil in martinez. they say the light of the candles symbolizes hope and remembrance. many members of law enforcement attended, saying it's important to get the message out to the younger generation. and madd says they want families to know they are not alone. >> as long as i have a voice for mad, our victims will be known and i hope that you all have that same passion and be gracious to you. >> madd says a bill to require

ignition locks for dui offenders move forward in sacramento today, san francisco would be one of five counties in a pilot program. if that bill becomes law. >> new tonight, a beloved baker at san francisco's bob's donuts is in critical condition after he was hurt hit and run crash. this happened right at the intersection of dubose and guerrepoce say the victim rly sunday morning when he was hit. katie betty, you spoke with his coworkers who are rallying support from the community. >> jesus zamudio is a father, a husband and a beloved baker at bob's donuts in san francisco. sfpd said he was riding his electric scooter at dubose avenue and guerrero street around 3 a.m. sunday when a car struck him and took off. the accident left him unconscious, and his family and coworkers heartbroken. i know him for so long and you know, we work together and he's a good, kind person. >> hi, how are you?

>> bessie ferreira said. over the last three years, she often worked alongside jesus. >> when i'm alone here as a cashier, he helps me with everything personally, the donuts and taking care of the window and taking care of the doordash. >> he worked seven days a week at the polk street and baker street locations. his cousin eric said he followed in jesus's steps and began working at bob's donuts a few months ago. >> no podemos ver loss to go through an interpreter, he told us he just visited jesus in the hospital where he had surgery, and when they went in they saw him. >> he was sedated so he was very sad to see him in that bed because he's a very strong and hardworking man. >> he said jesus was his family's main provider and supported his wife and two young children in mexico. >> he unos dias antes habian cargado. >> eric added that while jesus didn't vocalize safety concerns regarding his commute, he

recently told him that he wanted to buy a helmet. he was going to order it with a friend and i guess he didn't have time to order it for me. >> when you work this quarter, make sure you always wear a helmet. you know, no matter what. >> his family has a message for the hit and run driver just to come forward and for him to pay for what he did. these gofundme fliers have been placed all around the shop. the family owned business, and the manager put it together to help pay for jesus's medical bills and help his family navigate this crisis in san francisco. betty yu, ktvu fox two news a funeral will be held on friday for a fallen oakland police officer who died last week after spending more than five years on life support officer jordan wingate was seriously hurt in a crash while on duty in 2018. >> today we heard from his father, who served as an oakland police captain. jordan joined opd as a cadet in 2013 and later

was named valedictorian of his police academy class in 2017, graduating on his birthday, may 19th. his father had the honor of pinning him during the ceremony. everybody thinks that jordan followed in my footsteps, but there's a lot of jordan and part of jordan. >> that's you know, still, his heart still actually has a lot to do with his godfather. >> friday's memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. at three crosses church in castro valley, jordan. wingate was 28 years old. governor gavin newsom responded to his death, saying, quote, jennifer and i are saddened by the loss of officer wingate. his commitment to the people of oakland exemplified the highest ideals of law enforcement. our deeply felt condolences are with his loved ones and the men and women of the oakland police department. >> new at 11 chp san francisco is recognizing the work of one of its officers and their canine partner. the officer recently

pulled over a car getting off the bay bridge and discovered the driver had no license. the officer then found suspicious items inside the vehicle and ordered the four people to get out. that's when the canine officer slowly got to work and alerted to the presence of cocaine, meth, heroin and fentanyl. all the suspects were all booked on several drug charges. the chp says soli has proven to be a major asset to the highway patrol's efforts to keep drugs off san francisco streets, a bill authored by a san francisco lawmaker decriminalizing psychedelic substances cleared a key hurdle. >> senate bill 1012 was coauthored by state senator scott wiener. it would allow adults 21 and older to use certain psychedelic substances in a regulated context and under the supervision of a licensed and trained facilitator. the bill passed the senate public safety committee and now heads to the senate appropriations committee. the bill has more restrictions than the one vetoed last fall by governor newsom that allowed possession of psychedelics. >> tonight, the us senate passed

a $95 billion foreign aid package after months of delays, this package now heads to president biden's desk, who has said he will sign it once he does the pentagon will immediately send one dollars billion in military aid to ukraine. in all, ukraine will receive more than $60 billion as part of this package. the remainder will be divided between israel and taiwan. the bill also has a measure to force tiktok's chinese parent company to sell its stake within a year, or else face a national ban here in the us. >> in tonight's west coast rap, a police chase leads a suspect right into a restaurant, and the incident all caught on camera. >> and then thousands of bay area tesla employees will soon lose their jobs. but it's just the latest in a series of challenges facing the company. >> also ahead tonight, a positive change in california's water allocation. and it's al

self-inflicted gunshot wound. >> this story begins tonight's west coast rap. officials say elias hoosier initially went on the run yesterday for killing two people and kidnaping his son . police in oregon say his son was found safe and taken into custody by oregon state police troopers. the multi-state manhunt ended when police found the suspect after he had exchanged gunfire with officials before crashing into another

car. as troopers approached his car, they say that's when hoosier shot and killed himself in. investigators say hoosier killed both his ex-wife and his 17 year old girlfriend in washington state in las vegas, there is a new shakeup in the case of the man charged with being involved in rapper tupac shakur's murder, dwayne davis appeared in a las vegas courtroom today. >> his attorney argued. davis's past accounts of shakur's killing are fiction. prosecutors say davis had admitted to being involved in a memoir and in interviews someone shot to death in las vegas nearly 30 years ago. davis is suspected of ordering the hit. a tentative trial date has been set for november 4th in southern california. >> a massive cleanup is underway after a suspect being chased by police slammed into the patio of a restaurant. surveillance video shows the moment when that truck hit the awning of the restaurant in the arlington heights neighborhood. lapd officers say the truck was stolen. the driver hit a stop sign, a fire hydrant

reduce costs. >> in their most recent earnings announcement, they, the, reported that their eps, their earnings per share fell below expectations, below the current senses of what analysts had expected and also their revenue had been decreasing for, the second year in a row. >> tesla also lowered prices by $2,000 in the u.s. on three of its models, facing more competition in the electric vehicle market from companies like byd and china, the car company has seen a drop in deliveries and lower demand for its cars in the first quarter of this year, specifically in china , where byd is now leading the charge, in terms of vehicles sold worldwide and, those vehicles come at lower cost than the average tesla, are very attractive and are making inroads. >> still, growth says tesla, is one of the leading car companies in the world, and despite the

recent layoffs, he thinks tesla's technology and brand marketing will keep the company afloat. >> i do believe that there is the possibility that we'll see more, layoffs because musk has announced that he wants to launch hot and heavy into, more automated production robotic factories, probably a lot of ai in that as well. >> the layoffs are expected to start in june, and after announcing that it would produce more affordable cars next year, tesla's stock rose 11% on tuesday. lamonica peters ktvu, fox two news shares of tesla gained close to 2. >> investors seemed encouraged by word that tesla still plans to roll out a lower priced model next year. stocks were higher across the board on wall street today. the dow was up 263 points. nasdaq added 245 points for a gain of 1.6, and the s&p was up 59. well, a first of its kind bill passed the senate

transportation committee today. >> the law addresses concerns about expedited airport screening services that allow travelers to pay to cut ahead in tsa lines. the committee passed the bill in an 8 to 4 vote. it would require fast track services, including clear, to pay for their own tsa staffed lanes at airport security. if the identity screening companies do not comply, they will be banned from the state. one state senator says the services can actually create more security issues. >> there've been lots of incidents over the last couple of years where, you know, we're unauthorized. travelers have used clear as a way of breaching tsa security. >> supporters of the bill say the service creates hundreds of jobs, serves more than a million americans, and shares over $13 million in annual revenue with airport partners. the bill now moves forward to the senate appropriations committee. >> still ahead tonight, a gathering to observe tonight's full moon in san francisco. why? the dress code was pink. >> also, the move to implement major traffic changes in san

talked about the new presidio tunnel tops. we have young folks from our young emerging leaders, young environmental leaders giving talks about sea level rise. >> guests could also take part in a telescope demo for a chance to see the moon up close. all right, let's bring in meteorologist mark tamayo, who last night was talking about changes in the bay area forecast. >> i woke up this morning and we had just that. >> it's just bam! >> here it is. yeah. here it is. >> no subtle transition and yeah. more low clouds tonight. and get ready. this cool pattern it wants to stick around for a while several days. yeah. so yeah we'll talk more about the cool conditions. this was the scene today looking out toward the bay. and unfortunately that cloud cover kind of get in the way of the moon viewing because we had solid overcast. but some breaks in the cloud cover kind of created a pretty scene like this over the bay. as far as the highs from today. no more 80s, no more 70s, just lots of 60s out there. san francisco, 60 degrees, san jose 66 and antioch 68. we'll jump right into your wednesday forecast. it is a cool

wednesday. lots of clouds and some drizzle. you can see temperatures ranging from the upper 50s to the upper 60s. so here's the satellite, the radar. some lightning strikes up in northern california earlier today. and we just have a solid deck of low clouds and fog just offshore. that coupled with an onshore breeze will help transport the clouds back into the bay for the overnight hours. current numbers have cooled off into the 50s for santa rosa, concord, san jose checking in 59 degrees. we're going to start things off with possibly some drizzle tomorrow morning, so maybe some wet roadways, especially near the coast, and temperatures will be around 47 to 50 2 to 53 degrees. and here's the forecast model kind of showing that cloudy picture tomorrow morning into the afternoon hours. it probably won't be complete. clearing in fact, the cloud cover could be stubborn near portions of the bay into the afternoon hours. highs will be in the upper 50s to the upper 60s tomorrow afternoon. so here we go. that's the area of low pressure offshore that's been drifting closer to our coastline. that's producing the cool down. today we're watching another system that's going to move in from the

north, and that could lead to the possibility, a slight chance of some sprinkles or a few showers later in the day, thursday into thursday night. and a slight chance into your friday. not a major organized storm system for us, but in fact, it could lead to some thunderstorms to the north and to the east of the bay area. highs for tomorrow. hayward 66 degrees. san jose 69. napa 67. the winds still a factor around 15 to 25 miles an hour. there's that slight chance of a shower later in the day, thursday and into friday. a little bit of a warm up as we head toward the weekend with some breezy conditions. it won't be as warm as last weekend, but still, we could say hello to the 70s, especially as we look to this sunday. >> forecast will do. all right mark, thank you. new at 11. the department of water resources announced another increase in its projects water allocation. the forecasted allocation has now increased to 40, up from 30% last month. this update is the result of the april first snow survey and the increase in storage at lake oroville. this

additional increase translates to enough water to serve about 1.5 million households for an entire year. >> tomorrow, the governor and state lawmakers plan to announce a bill in response to the arizona abortion ban. the measure is aimed at helping women in arizona who want to get an abortion. the governor said the emergency legislation would make it easier for doctors in arizona to become certified to perform abortions in california. he wants to see this take effect by may 1st, when arizona's near-total abortion ban is set to begin a compromise is now in the works for the bill that would protect indoor workers in california from extreme heat. it requires employers to cool down their workplace when the temperature reaches 87 degrees. governor newsom had concerns about the costs, saying it would be too expensive to implement this rule at prisons. last week, cal osha agreed to exempt correctional facilities from the bill, and now that allows the newsom administration to give it a fiscal sign off. there will
