6:48 pm
yeah, i like it. i like a little springsteen. means he likes it. >> no, i mean, you turn it up every now and then. yeah. for sure. a little bruce. >> yeah. >> yeah, i do too, i just. okay, as we go outside, we've got temperatures that are on the mild side today or cooler side. that's because of the cloud cover and those kind of light, scattered showers that have been showing up in the bay area, low 60s and upper 50s. it was cool today. i thought we'd be in the mid 60s, but i don't even think we got there. 62 in morgan hill there, 65 in san jose, 63 in mountain view, and kind of like this kind of a day. cloudy. the sprinkle here, sprinkled there a little bit of everything. not expecting heavy, heavy rain, but rain overnight will get us about a quarter of an inch of rain, probably by the morning hours. some of the heavier locations maybe a half inch of rain and it'll be a little bit wet on the morning commute. but like this afternoon's commute is really been sort of wet, but not really horribly wet in terms of widespread. so tonight the scattered showers, rain showers overnight into the early morning hours might be a little wet on the thursday morning commute.
6:49 pm
thursday is kind of like today and that it will be cloudy. there might be a sprinkle, but it probably won't get it bother you and you'll get things done for your thursday. and then friday this guy shows up for the first half of the day. friday doesn't look bad. second half of the day on friday looks like it'll be a little bit wet. wetter this next system, not this one. this is now the next system has a little more pop than this system. this system has pop. look at it. it's awesome looking system way up here. but the dynamics are up here. the strength, the lift and down here we're just kind of getting what we're getting. and then on friday system the dynamics will be closer to us, albeit a little further south. and that'll get us more rain. most likely maybe a half inch in some places in the heaviest spots. and then you can see the scattered showers right now, rain falling around the bay area, mainly in the north bay. again, i've seen a quarter inch half inch of rain in the parts of the north bay, up around healdsburg and ukiah in those zones, and then certainly up in del norte county, humboldt

county, those areas, they've had plenty of rain. the forecast model right now. and then here's tomorrow morning. so that's your thursday morning. that's your thursday afternoon. so kind of like today thursday is not a bad day overnight. this is an overnight thing for us now. and then 7 a.m. here's the system here. it's drifting south and east. so we're kind of on the wrong end of the wrong quadrant, if you will, where you want to be in the southeast quadrant. we're in the northwest quadrant of this storm. and so we're going to get showers on friday and into saturday morning. but but the strongest stuff will be down towards big sur. santa cruz mountains forecast highs tomorrow about the same little warmer. and then the five day forecast. yeah. what are you going to do with that. just more of the same. nothing. all beneficial. rain though. you guys. nothing. nothing. no trouble. rain okay. >> thank you bill. well one ticket. yep. just one ticket. matched all the numbers in the mega millions jackpot. and it's worth more than $1 billion. >> all right, that ticket was

that like really works in like the handler space. >> outside of teaching the game, the spiders call to action with parents and kids is the camaraderie of building a team as well as giving back to the community. rafael castro, who is also a teacher in oakland, won the league's be the change award mainly for his charitable work with the east bay's homeless community. the spiders have not won a championship since 2015, and castro says winning one would help bring more attention to the team and sport. >> i feel like they're almost the same thing where it's like if you win a championship, you know it's definitely going to elevate our sort of like recognition. i've seen that like sports, not just they don't just bring structure and discipline to the kids, but they also give them small wins and like boost their confidence. that translates not just like on the field, but also in the classroom. and just like day to day lives with frisbee, it's like a level playing field, like it's usually something that's new to everyone. and so it really helps bring everyone together in a way that's a little bit different than other sports. >> and unlike football, which i wanted to play but didn't get to play, there's not enough danger.
