transportation safety board talking about the investigation into this disaster. >> gasia ali, thank you. when it comes to how that bridge that collapsed in baltimore compares to bridges in the bay area, there are some similarities. the francis scott key bridge in baltimore stands 185ft above the water in the center. it's about the same clearance as the eastern span of the bay bridge, which has a clearance of 190ft. the western span and the golden gate bridge both have the same clearance between the water and the bridge deck. at about 220ft. as for the number of commuters crossing every day, about 31,000 cars cross baltimore's key bridge daily. the golden gate bridge sees far more traffic. about 112,000 cars a day, more than twice as many as that crossed the bay bridge daily. some 260,000 vehicles. one key difference, though, is that the key bridge was mainly used to bypass downtown baltimore, not head straight into downtown as the bay bridge does. we hope you stay with mornings on two. for the latest on this developing story. we will have a live report from baltimore in less than 30 minutes. again, we expect to hear from the president and the and the ntsb
