. the raid, led by homeland security, is allegedly tied to a federal sex trafficking investigation. >> i walk up and down here all the time and never i didn't even know this is mr. combs house. >> some neighbors say the heavy response seemed unnecessary. >> we're surrounded by $5,050 million mansions. like, where is the threat? like what's necessary? like, why you got to bring all that here? sky fox was overhead as some people were detained and held outside. >> it's still not clear where the rap mogul was at the time of the raids. his miami home was also stormed in a similar fashion. >> there's an awful lot that's not clear, except sean diddy combs had an awful lot of armed people invading his house in los angeles and miami this afternoon. that could partially be for show. it could partially be a statement. >> variety's executive music editor, jem aswad, has been covering diddy's legal woes for years, including multiple separate sexual assault allegations. >> there have been rumors like this for years, for decades

least two lawsuits against diddy, the one in december and also in kacy's, which he ended up settling. but when those allegations are made and repeatedly made, it sort of puts , you know, the feds antenna go up and they just start thinking is there something we should be looking into here? it is not clear whether today's searches are related to any of the allegations raised in several lawsuits against the rapper, and we have continuing coverage of the raids online. >> just visit ktvu .com for the latest developments. >> new at 11. the city of berkeley is repealing its ban on natural gas hookups, according to the california restaurant association. the city has agreed to settle a lawsuit by the association and repeal its ban on natural gas piping in new buildings. the city has also agreed to not enforce the ban. while the city council takes steps to repeal the rule. we have reached out to the city of berkeley for comment but have not heard back. >> a congressional town hall hearing in martinez focused on safety at east bay oil

refineries after several high profile incidents. officials say they are looking at beefing up the county's 25 year old industrial safety ordinance. >> it was groundbreaking at its time. we have amended it multiple times since then to always stay at the forefront of process safety, and we are going through that process right now to see what potential gaps lie in there that can make our refineries safer. we're far away from the county. >> state and federal officials walk through their response to incidents such as flaring the air quality board's chief executive said. that board is also working to update its rules. >> our rule needs more teeth and we've committed to go back to the rule and try to do other take other measures to make sure that flaring is not the frequency of flaring. the magnitude of the flaring does not increase and actually starts going down. >> the mayor of martinez also said her city is working to improve communications with the new system of text and email alerts for residents. >> new at 11 california governor gavin newsom signed a bill today that extends the federal student

aid application deadline. this bill gives students another month to apply for financial aid. it comes after the department of education admitted last week to a number of processing delays and technical glitches related to the rollout of a new scholarship form. the deadline has now been moved from april 2nd to may 2nd. >> an update now to last week's arrest of a vandalism suspect in san francisco police say 22 year old osiel torres was charged with 22 counts of vandalism today after allegedly slashing nearly two dozen tires in the richmond district last tuesday, pictures posted on social media show the damage on some of the cars that were parked in the area of 12th and anza. prosecutors say torres has pleaded not guilty. >> new tonight we are learning more about the two people found shot to death inside a home in san francisco. loved ones telling us they are a husband and wife. ktvu is amber lee reports. >> family and friends posted photos and tributes on social media to oscar and florinda

picasso, a san francisco couple in their late 40s. police say the two were found dead with gunshot wounds inside their home in the portola neighborhood near busy san bruno avenue sunday night around 845. sources tell ktvu it was a murder suicide. police have yet to confirm this and did not release details of what happened or the motive for the shooting. i just heard a different sirens coming over a 15, 20 minute period, you know, different types. >> i think one was a the police cars, obviously, and then another was probably an emergency vehicle. sirens are a little different after the third time hearing that you're going, well, something's going on the couple's oldest daughter, jasmine, tells me she wants her parents to be remembered as incredible human beings. >> she says her father worked for recology for 29 years. he was featured in a company newsletter in 2022, which is posted online. mom florinda worked as a 911 dispatcher for the city since 2008. 16 years

the department of emergency management issued a statement which says in part, quote, everyone at dem is in shock today following the tragic loss of a long standing and valued colleague. candles were placed on the steps of the couple's home. neighbors say they're saddened and shocked. they described the couple as nice and helpful. one man tells me oscar helped him jump start his car. on social media. florinda posted photos showing her and oscar as avid bay area sports fans. the couple leaves behind four adult children, two daughters and two sons. they also have one grandchild, family and friends tell me they are not ready to speak on camera. police say homicide investigators responded to the scene and they're now leading the investigation in san francisco. amber lee, ktvu, fox two news, a san francisco federal judge today dismissed a lawsuit brought by elon musk against a group critical of the

billionaire. >> musk had filed a suit against the center for countering digital hate, which had accused musk of promoting hate speech on his x platform. formerly twitter. musk claim the group labeled anything it didn't agree with as hate speech, which he says cost millions in advertising dollars. in his ruling, the judge said musk was trying to punish the group for exercising free speech. the european union is now investigating apple, google parent alphabet and meta in a probe under a sweeping new law. this is the first investigation under the digital markets act, or dma. two of the probes are focused on alphabet and apple over their so-called anti-steering rules for internet and app store searches. the meta investigation focuses on its so-called pay and consent model. it is an ad free subscription for facebook and instagram, which was introduced last year in europe. the eu commission for competition says it hopes to complete the investigations within the next 12 months. >> right now, two westbound

yeah. this story begins tonight's west coast rap. a few hospitals in gaza are still standing as volunteers with scarce resources are doing the best they can to help. >> it's desperate. there we were seeing, like, 400 patients a day. i mean, people were lining up before we even arrived. it was just continual bombing day and night. >> yvonne grijzenhout is from keizer, oregon, with more than two and a half decades of nursing experience. she is now dedicating her life to volunteering in disaster zones around the world. recently, she spent five weeks in gaza.

>> we saw a lot of patients that had effects from the war, like shrapnel, infected wounds from what were the hospital was like. you could see the plumes and you could hear it and feel it. it was just nonstop day and night. >> gronhaug and her team set up a field hospital in rafah. she says since the clinic opened in january, it has provided medical assistance to more than 27,000 people in los angeles. >> dodgers superstar shohei ohtani said today he never bet on sports or knowingly paid gambling debts racked up by his longtime interpreter. ohtani spoke briefly to reporters during a news conference at dodger stadium. his former longtime interpreter was fired by the dodgers last week after reports surfaced of his ties to an illegal bookmaker and debts totaling more than $4 million. ohtani said once he found out what was happening, he immediately contacted his lawyers and the team. >> and up until a couple of days

as chief of police in san jose, anthony mata is moving on to work for the santa clara county da's office and paul joseph is temporarily taking his place. >> joseph has been with san jose police since 1994, and assistant police chief since march 2021. on march 31st, he'll become the acting chief of police in san jose. who knows, paul might be the best one out of candidates brought forward, but we do want to see the other candidates who are going to be applying for this position. the san jose police officers association released a statement saying in part, assistant chief joseph has a wide breadth of experience with the san jose police department. we look forward to working with him to improve the safety of our residents, grow our ranks and support our officers in the field. >> personally, i think it's time , maybe for us to consider someone from the outside that may bring a new flavor in, but at the same time, we're looking for somebody that's consistent,

chief meteorologist, bill martin. so, bill, how much snow can the sierra expect in the coming days? well, maybe maybe another foot of snow, julie. >> maybe two feet by the time we get through the weekend. it depends what that weekend system does. but wednesday night into thursday, we're going to get back into some wet weather here and in the mountains. it'll be on wednesday. it'll probably be. i don't know if we'll get a winter storm warning. i think they will probably, but it'll be it'll be snowing and that's wednesday night into thursday. so these are the highs from today. highs tomorrow will be about the same. no big changes outside. we go. and the winds have died down. it was howling well not howling but it was windy 2530 mile an hour. winds down at sea level. winds now have died down pretty nicely. we've got eight mile an hour out of the west, up in the north bay, and then 12 miles an hour out towards the east bay, and the winds want to come back up again wednesday night when this next system gets here. wednesday evening, the winds will come back up and you can kind of see the red showing. most of the winds will be further inland and at higher elevations. but wednesday is going to have some wind. it's going to be stormy in

the mountains. it's going to be wet around here on the late afternoon commute. and then the early morning commute on thursday might be showery as well. not that cold overnight tonight. temperatures about where they were last night at this time. and here's the model, which is what you want to see because this is pretty much the way the day goes tomorrow. 8 a.m. and then the rest of the day mostly sunny. according to this map, i've had partly sunny, but let's call it mostly sunny. and then tuesday or wednesday morning the clouds start to increase as we get ready for wednesday night. right there. that's wednesday evening. most of it's after the afternoon commute, but we'll see. and then you get into thursday morning and then thursday afternoon. so just kind of unsettled weather. and the mountains though this will be a good stuff because it'll stack up as it often does. the clouds will and they'll get dammed up against the west slope. and they'll drop off a bunch of snow. these are the forecast highs for tomorrow. slightly warmer than it was today. very pleasant day. and then get ready for wednesday when those clouds start to increase and we get the chance for some afternoon evening showers, especially after the commute. and then thursday

morning showers. and then looks like friday and saturday, those are still in question. but right now saturday looks like the wettest day in that friday. saturday run sunday looks like your best day on the weekend. >> all right bill, thank you. new at 11 a private ambulance company is being accused of delayed response times. according to the east bay times, officials in livermore and pleasanton have sent a letter to the company demanding a quicker response when 911 is called. the letter says ambulances were laid to about 1 in 6 medical emergencies, officials say. in some cases, firefighters ended up transporting patients to the hospital themselves, the company told the east bay times that crowded hospitals often lead to ambulances backing up, but say they will work to ensure that they are freed up as soon as possible. >> the supreme court will take on the issue of abortion cases, or access rather tomorrow, as it hears arguments involving a medication widely used to end pregnancy. abortion opponents are calling on the high court to uphold a ruling from a federal appeals court to limit access to

when the bay area and southern california dream star line says it has signed a memorandum of understanding with union pacific railro to use its tracks exclusively for overnight passenger trips. trains would leave the bay area around 10:00 at night and arrive in l.a. at

in a basketball clinic and meet former warriors player festus ezeli. the girls also received free tickets to the warriors game on april 7th. homies empowerment is a grassroots organization based in oakland aimed at empowering youth. >> a teenager from tracy was invited to speak at the state capitol about suffering cardiac arrest at school at the age of 13. heather freely spoke at the heart ball, hosted by the american heart association. she helped to raise $250,000 at the event. now, last fall, heather collapsed in class. her friend called 911 while her teacher began cpr. earlier today on the floor, we spoke to her about the incident and how her friend sprang right into action. >> it was a miracle that i was saved and now i'm an ambassador for the american heart association, and i'm helping raise money and help raise awareness to my cause. >> you're very, like, high adrenaline and everything, and just a lot is going through your mind. but you know, it's like something where you have to help and step in and get your phone
