investigation. >> a major shakeup atúthe all on monday as fbi agents swarmedn the facility. ktvu has learned the warden and associate warden and a captain were all dismissed, and that new leadershipúis now in place. the restructuring comes as about 20 fbi agents raided the facility. a bureau spokeswoman confirmed conducting, quote, court prison- authorized law enforcement activity but declined to elaborate. the fbi agents were at the prison for most of the day. at one point, they were seen removing at least one box of potential evidencec and placing it in a minivan. the prison has been at the center of a long abuse scandal that'súbeen. eight prison workers have been charged by federal prosecutors with sexual abuse of inmates. seven have been found guilty, including who was sentenced last year to more than five years in federal prison for abusing three female inmates. just last week, a dozen more women lawsuits

against guards at the prison, bringing the total number of lawsuits to 63. the litigation comes as the dublin prison is now being run by its very littlh about bopp's ability to reform this deeply troubled institution . cara johnson isúan attorney representing a number of victims . she says the problems here are proof there needs to be change from the outside, she administrd monday had pledged to reform the prison, and they all testified about how this is a different place than it was under warden >> but this looks the same toúme and i think to many of our clients. >> a federal judge is considering putting a special master over the prison to administer reforms. >> the court may be looking for signs that bop is able to address this problem.úi don't know that this is very comforting to the court. >> the three administrators removed from their jobs at the prison have not been charged with any crimes. inúfederal

court in dublin, henry lee ktvu, fox two news new at six a man accused of killing a gas station clerk in san leandro has been arrested. >> police say 40 year old dennis lee, from stockton, has been charged with murder in connection with the death of 78 year old wadi badran. he was working at speedway gas station on east 14th street last month when he got into a dispute with the suspect. police say the suspect pushed the clerk into a pole, and he later died from blunt force trauma. >> family members ofúan elderly oakland late last year say they- inonths, and theom investigators woman was hit by a driv onhet- seminary avenue, just south of mills college, in october. neighbors in that area say they want chang to be made to the corridorúto avoid more deaths. ktvu crystal baileyúhas more now about those changes. crystal well, the city knows seminary avenue is high risk. >> we brought you the story about 72 year old marlee delaney in early october, just after she

was found dead on the side of the road by maintenance workers at mills college. police say she was killed by a and run driver.c but now, nearly six months later, her family still says they still don't have closure. people who knew marlee delaney say she was a beacon of light. now, the scene with the 72 year old was killed in a hit and run in oakland is left with a note and a photo memorializing her. delaney catch the bus here on seminary avenue. before she could make it, she was hit by a car and flung several feet off the road. it was 36 hours before these are ac events and they brother died in a traffic collision when i was five years old.c i'm 62 now, and that has n ongoing. my brother is not here. >> delaney's daughter says the investigators the district attorney's office back&

says the arrests were made last wednesday across two separate investigations. officers recovered five guns and arrested four people while executing search warrants at several locations in the city. officers made five more arrests and recovered five guns during a traffic stop in alameda later that afternoon. police say one of minor. all were taken into custody arrested 135 people and seized more than& 10,000 pounds of drugs during a series of operations involving plainclothes officers between january and february. the officers also took 11 guns off the streets. in one case, police say, or police witnessed a group of four suspects trying to rob a woman of her purse. police say they were all under the age of 18 and in possession of a loaded gun. >> more violence in gaza as a new round of israeli airstrikes have reportedly killed more than 60 palestinians. those strikes holy month of ramadan. the us,ic

program report. attorney general rob bonta announced the findings of that report. it says the department of justice recovered 144s guns from illegally armed individuals through the program in 2023, bonta says a key focus for the programs enforcement efforts is recovering guns from people who are in violation of court restraining orders. >> our armed prohibited persons system apps is a critical, first of its kind tool designed to identify and recover firearms that, though legally purchased at one time, are owned by people who have since subsequently become prohibited. >> the people in the program's database have either been convicted of a felony or violent misdemeanor, and are subject to domestic violence or other restraining orders, or suffer from a serious mental health

points in his state of the union addressn the president spoke to supporters at a campaign event. the visit came hours after mr. biden released his $7.3 trillion election proposal includes help toward lowering the cost of health care. president biden also says it's time to expand medicare's ability to negotiate lower prices for pharmaceuticals. now it's time to go further and give medicare the power to negotiate lower prices for even more drugs over the next decade. that, we'll not only save lives, we're going to save taxpayers. another estimated $200 billion $200 billion taxpayers will not have to pay the drug companies for exorbitant prices that aren't warranted. >> among other things, the budget proposal calls for bringing back a child tax credit for low and middle income earners, funding child care programsl funneling $258 billion to build homes and spending billions of dollars on law enforcement.

we are staying on top of a developingústory out of the east stolen with a two year old child inside. tonight, san pablo police tell us they responded to a call around 125 this afternoon on california avenue near rumrill boulevard. officers were able to locate the car and the child less than two miles away at barrett and hayes. police say the child was found safe. then, a short time later, officers were led to oakland. this is videoúof that investigation, which skyfox flew over the scene . san pablo police tell us one person may at this location. we will have more updates as

soon as we learn any new details. >> more than 20 years after being convicted of murdering his wife and unborn son, scott peterson may be getting a new trial early this year, the la innocence project announced it would take up the peterson case, arguing peterson's state and federal constitutional rights were violated. in his 2004 trial, a status hearing will be held tomorrow in san mateo county. scott peterson will join the proceeding via zoom. earlier on the four, we did speak with ktvu legal analyst michael cardoza. >> the status there in the judge's going to ask, have you run into any problems with discovery of the evidence. they're looking for dna evidence, and the judge wants to know how swiftly or swimmingly are you moving down this road to possibly evidence?ng new exculpatoryt- >> cardoza also says the involvement of the la innocence project is considered a
