that is from a second vigil down the street. we are told the people shot last night were taken to the hospital with nonlife threatening injuries. so far police do not have any additional information about a motive or suspects in a case. new this morning petaluma police need help to find a missing woman who they say is at risk because of a medical condition. she was reported missing yesterday after leaving home and not telling her family where she was going. she is 4'7" about 80 pounds. there is a picture of her on your screen. anyone that sees her is asked to call petaluma police. we are learning new information about a deadly shooting of a five-year-old boy. five-year-old gabriel martinez junior was shot on 55th avenue

and international boulevard. police just released video of the getaway car. it's a 2006 to 2009 silver chevy malibu. they also released sketches of the suspected gunman and a woman in the car. >> we want to remove that person from our community. we don't want this to happen again. >> police say the suspected gunman is african american in his 20s about six feet tall. the woman in the car was also african american. police are offering a $25,000 reward in the case. san francisco police are looking into three reported sexual assaults at the outside lands festival. about 2,000 methamphetamine packed golden gate park for the three-day concert. the three women believe they may have been drugged and later assaulted. it does not appear the cases

are related because it appeared in different locations and the description of the attackers are different. police conducted forensic testing and now awaiting the results. time now 4:32. continuing coverage out of lake county this morning while cal fire is reporting progress on the two wild fires burning east of clearlake. firefighters say the fires have burned 7,000 acres near. near highway 20 and pate and across the county line. now according to cal fire's latest update, six firefighters suffered minor injuries. so far there are still only two homes that have been destroyed and one damaged. yesterday firefighters worked to hold the fire lines and during the day containment grew from 30-60%. >> 30% to 60% may not sound a lot but to us that is great news. it's 40 more% -- percent -- 40

more percent to go. >> the fire is also now burning east away from homes and buildings and all the evacuation orders have been listed. full containment on the fire is expected by monday. crews in southern california are battling a fast moving wild fire that is now at 3,000 acres. the fire started yesterday afternoon and burning east of timecula. so far at least four buildings including one home have been destroyed. according to cal fire latest update, it's just 5% contained. the u.s. chemical safety board says two of the team members using respiratory equipment went within ten feet of the pipe failed. they say it's unsafe to go closer because last week's fire damaged overhead steel beams.

there are residual hydrocarbons at the site. they will discuss the issue with chevron today. >> they will describe to us a plan for cutting off the hydrocarbons that are flowing out of there. making the area safe. and over the next few weeks safely removing that pipe. >> meantime there is new scrutiny of a chevron surveillance video that shows a giant vapor cloud several minutes before the fire. an idolling chevron? truck may have ignited the vapor fire. there have been several emergency visits tied to the fire. the majority seeked treatment in? san pablo. chevron has set up a hotline and help center for people to file claims for medical related

expenses. gas leaks at the shell refinery in martinez prompted a shelter in place warning and evacuation of workers. that happened at 12:30 yesterday afternoon. a pressure relief valve that allows gas to escape became stuck in the open position. no one was hurt but shell says the leak was not related to a fire at the factory on monday. the new program begins today. young illegal immigrants that came to america as children can now apply to stay here under president obama's deferred action plan. ktvu alex savidge is at the immigration office where there could be big crowds later today. alex. >> reporter: immigration authorities are expecting a wave of applicants later on today. this is the form they will fill out when asking for deferred action. allowing them to stay and work in the u.s. legally. also you could see quite a few

people coming to this u.s. citizenship and immigration services field office in san jose today looking for help. this policy change by president obama is for undocumented immigrants that were brought here before the age of 16. they must have graduated from high school or served in the armed forces and must not have a criminal record. meantime republican lawmakers are criticizing the program as a potential magnet for fraud and a way for president to when votes. more than a million young people are expected to apply later on today. they can start mailing in these applications. if they are granted approval they will be given a two-year deprive from deportation. for now we are live in san jose alex savidge. vice president biden tried to clarify his controversial comment that mitt romney will quote try to put you all back in chains.

>> romney campaign put out a tweet. went on the airways saying biden he is outrageous in saying that i think i said instead of unshackled unchained. outrageous to say that. if you want to know what is outrageous, it's their policies. >> he said that he intended to say unshackle as a term used by the gop. the dmv predicts the next few days will be busier than normal. a computer problem with the state router caused massive delays yesterday. the system was backed up after several hours but state workers will now have to catch up on the backlog of rescheduled appointments. the public is asked to go to the dmv website as an alternatives. >> i saw those personally.

good morning. much bigger fog bank today. it will be cooler and breezy. there is a howling sea breeze. upper 80s and 90s. ktvu news first reported a man was violently mugged in the mission terrace neighborhood of san francisco and it was all caught on video. it happened at 5:30 monday evening near the intersection of mission and maynard. take a look. the victim says a man asked him for directions and repeatedly punched him and kicked him before stealing his wallet which contained his paycheck. a neighbor recorded video of the crime in progress. >> i had two sons and my wife.

never had a lot of problem here. we've lived here for 18 years. >> the victim said he needed seven stitches and has a swollen cheek. australian tourist remains in jail this morning facing charges of killing a vacaville teenager. yesterday a tearful 20-year-old tyson dagley appeared in a hawaiian courtroom to ask the judge to lower his $100,000 bail. he is facing negligent homicide charges for a jet ski accident. he was driving reckless when he rear ended kristen fonseca. fonseca died the next day. >> i prayed every day. just to the family.

nice heading westbound as you drive out to the mccarthur maze. it's a nice looking drive with no problems getting on to the upper deck of the bay bridge. if you are driving on northbound 280, that traffic is moving along well now let's go to steve. sal, thank you. our little low off the coast has been drying off a lot. some of that from the desert southwest as well. it's blowing off the coast. you can see it right there. it has a little bit of humph on it. what it's doing for us is picking off the coast. it will be cooler today instead of upper 60s to near 70s. and some of these tropical clouds will probably continue to hang out towards the north. mendocino county. lake county. you can see where the sources they come upright around that low gravity. takes them right back out. slightly bigger fog bank today. that means temperatures much

welcome back to the ktvu channel 2 morning news. time now is 4:53. refusing to let her son's murder go unsolved, a san francisco mother takes action she hopes will heat up a case that has gone cold. paw let brown used the sixth anniversary of aubrey's death to staple fliers asking witnesses to come forward. the city is offering a $250,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction. >> my son should have been burying me. it hurts me i have to do this now. it's my life i have to do this every day. >> he was gunned down in a day- time shooting outside his home near the panhandle. he was 17. he had a job. no record of trouble. anyone with information on the case is asked to call police. a sea lion recovering from gunshot wounds has found a permanent home.

a zoo in indianapolis has expressed interest in adopting old ray that is one of the two sea lions with gunshot wounds. old ray returned to the marine mammal center in march after rescuers discovered he was blind in one eye and limited vision in another. he was originally rescued in 2011 and treated for gunshot wounds. boy, that poor guy. 4:54 is the time. let's check in with sal for more traffic. >> all right, pam, good morning to you. we are doing well in most areas. we will start off with highway 24 westbound the traffic looks pretty good. at the bay bridge toll plaza we are looking at traffic that is moving along very nicely in san francisco with no major problems on the way into the city. look agent the peninsula the traffic -- look into the peninsula the traffic looks good there. san jose traffic looking good. if you are driving to san jose from fremont that traffic also
