wind advisory and a red flag warning! 13 first alert meteorologist karla huelga is tracking the latest. a large storm system is pushing through the area and will continue to bring gusty conditions this afternoon/evening with gusts to about 35-40 mph. a wind advisory remains in effect through 8 pm tonight. tomorrow we will see another day with highs in the upper 80s, but the will be much lighter. thursday the system will have moved on and we will start a slow warm up. expect a highs in the low 90s thursday, lowt friday, and mid 90s over the weekend with lots of sunshine. afternoon highs will top out in the mid and upper 90s to start off our next workweek. however, the winds will pick up on tuesday as another system passes mostly to our north.

of a semi truck is in police custody after leading them on an hours-long chase! these are aerial images recorded just minutes ago. it all unfolded on the 15 in california. the company name on the truck reads "act enviro" -- it's a company that transfers hazardous materials. the truck was stolen. a home goes up in flames overnight and investigators blame. it happened near the 95 and stewart. chopper 13 fast and first over the scene-- giving you another look at that damage to the backyard-- that is where crews say the fire started-- but you can also see some damage to the roof-- that fire did spread to parts of the home. neighbors told fire officials they've seen squatters going in and out all the time. damage is estimated at 75 thousand dollars. no one was hurt. chopper 13 also fast and first over this collapsed roof.

to find out what happened. a worker there told us that the roof collapsed about three weeks ago and no one was hurt. on action news live at 3-30 marissa kynaston speaks with people who worked there and finds out why the collapse happened. a gunman is on the run right now after shooting a man near torrey pines and charleston. metro says around 10-30 last night they got calls about a man who was shot. when officers arrived, they fod of a stairway. he'd been shot in the leg, and had other blunt force injuries. the victim was taken to the hospital. they believe he will survive. three phoenix police officers are recovering right now after a drunk driver ran them over...and they think it may have been intentional. detectives say a driver drove through a group of officers.....before hitting a patrol car, then the front of the store. two of those officers are expected to be ok. a third officer had some minor injuries when trying to arrest the suspect.

recent sales scandal. you may recall -- last week wells fargo agreed to pay a 185 million dollar fine and refund five million dollars in fees wrongly charged to customers. employees said they were under pressure to meet "unrealistic" goals or lose their jobs. this afternoon -- we're hearing from the mother of the 6 year old boy now recovering after a samsung phone burst into flames while he was holding it. the mom says the little boy was watching a video on his gr when suddenly the battery exploded. marsha lewis / mother :26-:35 "at first the phone caught on fire, then the battery exploded. so he threw it on the floor and it just was like fireworks in the house." the little boy was taken to the hospital with second degree burns. he's now recovering at home. samsung says they are working with the family on the incident. coming up later in this newscast -- what samsung is now

to 9-1-1 leads to a drug bust in kentucky. police arrested gregory collins and justin cruse, after one of the men apparently called 9-1-1 by accident. the dispatcher apparently overheard a conversation about drugs. officials pinged the phone, finding collins near a gas station that's where they arrested collins ( lt. jake reed / berea police department ) "the dispatcher was able to hear some people talking on the phone, and they were talking about some drugs." ( reporter ) "did you type of conversation about drugs or drug activity?" ( justin cruse / suspect ) "no, sir. i sure did not." both men are facing a host of charges raging from possession of meth and heroin to possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. a retired fertility doctor from indiana could face some serious charges-- after some of his patients say the man used his own sperm to help them get pregnant. the 77 year old told the women he was using sperm donated from medical students, but according to court records he used his

prosecutors believe he did that about 50 times! now his "children" are demanding answers.
