over a decade in the making will go live into the city of san francisco to see the new china basin park. and we'll take a look at what we can expect are in the nfl draft from the forty-niners says the nfc champs look to bolster their roster with young talent. news station. 2. thank you for joining us here on kron. 4 news at 2. i'm justine waldman and we will begin in the city of san francisco as today marks the grand opening of the china basin park. it's a project that's been >> over a decade in the making. kron four's. charles clifford is live for us with more on mayor london breed's announcement and what this park a means to the city. thanks for joining us. >> well, good afternoon. i'm in the china basin park, which is now open to the public. this is the bike path or you can see oracle park off there in the distance behind me. let's go and take a look at some video talk about this park a little bit. it covers

about 5 acres along mccovey cove here. there is the bike path. as i mentioned, they also have really nice bathrooms here. new bathrooms of got a beach, a small dog park. they've got about an acre open-space meadow there. we can go out, have a picnic and look over towards the water. they've also got benches and a recycled water system here that all the laws or water using recycled water from the nearby new buildings that they put in here in mission rock. now the mayor at a ribbon cutting this morning talked about how this is just one small part of a much larger plan that's been in the works for decades to redevelop this area. >> it includes residents, families, a new school being built so much has changed in this, right. this is a new neighborhood of san francisco. >> yes, it is. here in china basin park is open full time. anyone come down here and check it out. but they are

going to have events are going to concerts here, food trucks and they're going to have live music. you're as well. not just on when there's baseball games across the water there, but on other occasions as well. so it's very latest here in san francisco, charles clifford kron. 4 news looks nice. thanks, charles. we're also following some developing news now is that was a horrific sight in the east bay after a fiery crash. >> left multiple people dead in pleasanton kron. 4 such a call is live from the area now with the latest on this crash. thanks for joining us. >> justine definitely a tough day for this community. it's clear this was a gruesome scene last night in from the limited information that we've learned from the police department. we know that multiple people did die here. in fact, we're told from a community member that entire family may have been killed in this crash. there was only one car involved in based on the layout of the aftermath. it's clear to me that speeding was involved in. that's not uncommon in this area. the crash happened at around 9

o'clock last night. it appears that just as foothill road switch from 2 lanes to one just south of stone reads, drive the car veered off the road, slammed into a light pole with signage and then barreled into an oak tree. the tree and the ground around it are burned out and there is still foam on the pavement likely sprayed by the fire department. so there were flames and it seems like they got pretty high. not surprising to learn. several people died shortly we arrived on scene this morning. a father with kids in the local school district said he did not know those died but believes children were killed. >> and he dropped off a sign saying rest in love and may your family find peace? >> it's all family. there's not much we can do to support just like it. just trying to show support for game. >> we have unconfirmed information that at least 2 kids were killed, one in

middle school, the other an elementary school we spoke briefly with the pleasanton police department and ask for more information. but at this time they're being tight-lipped. and that's because they're doing so out of respect. but the people that have been impacted by this in that seems to be a lot of people we live in pleasanton philippe djegal all kron. 4 news. thank you. >> we're taking a live look outside at a camera that should be showing us out of tragedy. there we go. clouds parting to says we talk about a meteorologist kyle grogan here now with details. and still pretty cloudy out there today. yeah, that was hashtag san francisco problems right there evans to be a notice that not only are there some clouds of every little winds to see the trees kind of moving in the breeze, but some blue skies have certainly broken through hear is the wind, though. this is the thing that i think is really going to be on notice for the next 24 hours or so. you can see 23 miles per hour. there in san francisco, but we're also picking up elsewhere.

we're getting this onshore flow that happening. we've got kind of interesting set up low pressure to the north, low pressure down to the south and east. that's the one that just passed us by and then all the way on the pacific. some high pressure out there, too. so we are starting to feel some wind from this, but also notice a few showers start to make their way into the north bay that you can see right here. very light. maybe not all this hitting the ground, but in indication of what's headed our way into the overnight tonight, we could have that chance of a shower into tomorrow as well. so when going to keep going this afternoon tomorrow, it's going to get even breezier windier. so just be ready for this. we could see gusts upwards of 30 miles per hour. and then you can see as we get to saturday, it's still going to be with us before. this wraps up now, the good news is when it does wrap up, we've got a really nice weather on the other side of it. temperatures right now. you can see in the 50's 60's santa rosa pushing it there. it's 69 almost a that 70 degree mark, but we're still a little bit below average today. and as we go through tonight, we're going clouds with us that slight shower chances. and it showed you kind of coming into the north bay right now and gusty wind.

now, temperatures will actually be pretty mild. we're talking upper 40's to low 50's. so that part is going to be a little bit quiet. we do have a really nice weekend on tap. once we get past some of this. when dolly back in a little bit, we'll talk more about that. thank you just a couple hours away from the start of the biggest offseason of ad for the nfl. obviously we're talking about the nfl draft, the niners. >> have a pick in the first round. it is going to be very exciting to see who they choose last year. we know is trey. he came to the who the niners going to take this year. the person who has the answer is our erin wilson. she's here with us now in the studio with details when you think it's going to thank you, justine. well, the three-day draft is just hours away is we know and we're all excited about it. and although the niners don't have a super high peak. >> for the first time in a few years. the niners they do have a first rounder at 31 and predictions are leaning toward picking up a wide receiver. believed so the super bowl

loss last season was devastating for many reasons, although we know that brandon, i you could do so much. he definitely was a pivotal role for the niners last year and their success in the playoffs. that being said, that means his stock went up even higher taking into account that brock purdy will more than likely get a big payday after next season. in addition to having to pay for guys like deebo samuel george kittle christian mccaffrey and being able to afford ba, you know, that may present some challenges for the niners. that being said they may be looking for low-cost skilled receiver to add to the possible picks include dave yearly. get out of south carolina stock year white out with some versatility there similar to iup sussex. one, you know, for 221 pounds. but then you have guys like 80 mitchell out of texas and he's a white out. they won 2 national championships georgia before transferring to texas where his athleticism and ability to snag those contested passes really made him a standout. and then you have guys like

grant ryan thomas l issue or even possibly xavier worthy. another long horned. it stands at about 5.11, one. 65. >> and has been floated around as a possible pick for the niners. now as they look to possibly trade iu, which gm said that john lynch is what talking about. he earlier this week that they don't really want to try you, but they do know it's a possibility. take a list. >> you know, i know a couple years ago there was a lot of talk about another receiver deebo and i said the same thing. but with b a, you know, be a i've i've communicated on a couple occasions on many occasions are wishing our wish is that he's here and part of the niners for the rest of his career. you know, we're working through that you know, as such, you know, i was a player once and i never liked my business being out in the public. and so i'm going to respect that. i'm not going to speak for their side. can say we're having good talks and i'm just going to leave it at that will focus on the draft

>> if you can hear this, we heard your voice today for the first time in 201 days. and if you can hear us, i'm telling was taken. goldberg-polin has become one of the most recognized hostages and their posters of him posted all over israel. israel believes about 100 hostages remain in captivity. and in the east bay, protests are calling for a cease-fire gaza. they're growing now on the uc berkeley campus. demonstrators created a tent city right in front of sproul hall. it's in solidarity with the other. universities are doing the same thing all across the country so far here there are 70 tents at cow. participants say they will stay there until their demands are met. and that includes the the university calls for a cease-fire in gaza and stops any financial support to israel. a uc berkeley spokesperson says school officials are watching this

situation. he says, as of now, the camp has not disrupted campus operations. >> it comes to nonviolent political protest. the campuses are not to use law enforcement unless it is absolutely necessary. to prevent bodily damage or threat to anyone's life. we're not at that point. >> uc berkeley officials say the safety of all students continues to be their top priority. and from california to texas to illinois and georgia, pro palestine encampments have been spreading. police have been stepping in demonstrations have been seen today at campuses, including ucla, the university of texas at austin, northwestern and emory students are protesting against the israel-hamas war in gaza and also against their schools. financial and academic ties to israel and weapons makers. some demonstrators have gotten confrontational. with

authorities and dozens of people have been detained. former president donald trump returned to a new york city courtroom today for his hush money trial. trump faces 34 felony counts for falsifying business records. our washington correspondent jessi turnure reports on what happened today inside of the courtroom. >> it is no case here in testimony thursday, the x publisher of the national enquirer tied former president trump to payments to buy it, then kill negative stories about him ahead of the 2016 election. david packer told jurors he believes trump was aware of the agreement. this case formally. >> branded as a conspiracy case. but many ways, that's what it is. david super a georgetown law professor says packers testimony early on is important that i think makes it much harder for mister trump to claim that this is a mischaracterization of his money or that he didn't understand what was

prosecutors accuse trump of illegally hiding hush money payments to adult film star stormy daniels. but trump's defense argues the money was legal. this is just a political witch. trump and says the case is a democratic conspiracy to keep him off the campaign trail. but before heading to court thursday, trump visited construction workers. 4 campaign stop. we have a good chance of winning new york in my opinion nationally. a new quinnipiac poll has trump and president biden in a dead heat. >> in washington, i'm jessi tenure. now to the east bay. for a battle between a community living on houseboats and a landlord that fight is now heating up. and the city of alameda stepping in by filing a lawsuit. the city is alleging the owner. >> is harassing dozens of tenants and preventing them from selling their homes. many are seniors and they have lived on the u.s. house boats for decades. kron four's terisa stasio shows us what's

happening here and what the city says. the tenants really deserve. >> this is barnum arena home to more than 50 floating homes 2 years ago. valley investment, redwood llc. but the private marina in alameda and that alameda city attorney says is when the problems started limitations under the city's rent control this year, it's about a little less than 3%. but the increases of the tenants are reporting a go as high as 178%. as the problems have only escalated last fall valley investments, redwood llc. >> sued and lost their battle to beat down a rent control ordinance passed by the city to help the tenants. >> however, city attorney jean says that the owner continues to harass a tenant, refuses to pay the city fees and a myriad of other issues. >> and it is unconscionable to take these actions and even more impossible to not back down after governmental

authorities. have given you so many opportunities, so many opportunities to reach out and to find a way to see compliance. the city attorney's office truly finds that there's no other choice than to bring this inforcement in this lawsuit. the city says it has teamed up with the alameda county da to force a valley. >> investments, redwood llc to comply with the law. >> essentially asked a court to tell the owner of that their actions violate the law and must stop immediately. we are also seeking penalties because these actions have had real impact on attendance upon health over the last 2 years, a continuation. >> lost my wife to cancer 2 years ago. this was our retirement. and i have not been able to sell the house. because of what's going on here. right? kron. 4 news is trying to reach valley investment, redwood pelosi for comment. but >> has had no success in contacting them. coming up on

kron, 4 news at 3 tenants of barn hill share their stories of how all the new owners have impacted their lives and living in alameda theresa kron, 4 news. >> we're taking a live look outside here across the bay bridge in san francisco, breezy out there, according to the palm trees on the embarcadero. we have meteorologist kyla grogan here now with the official forecast. yeah, 3 z out there for sure. it's also, you know, getting some sun. but the clouds come back and kind of playing cat and mouse with us a little bit. you can see as we take a look across the bay here obviously you've been in the clouds all day today. san francisco has been in and out a san jose in and out as well. but now kind of sitting in the cloud. so obviously we're not quite done with all of this, right. we look at the difference in temperatures, though. you can see it's about mix. we have a few that are a little cooler and a few that are a little warmer. but all together, we're still going to be running below average today. and you certainly see that san jose at 65. you can see 63 in oakland about 59 in san francisco. 69 in santa rosa. interestingly enough, we've actually got a few showers that are starting to

roll through the north, a very, very light. but just to show you futurecast, we do have that chance of a little pop on the radar, not just tonight, but as we get to tomorrow. so this is your friday morning. obviously, we start cloudy. we've got that chance of a shower as we get into the afternoon. that's what i think the chances ramp up. and those of particularly in the inner east bay. so i'm looking at you, antioch rate. you're just going to be right on the line of where some of those heavier downpours are going to roll through. so there is a chance that that could be a part of your forecast in the afternoon. so just heads up now, having said that, i'm not expecting a whole lot of rain. so it's just whether or not get caught in one of those quick showers that rolls through. and then once it's done, it's done. i think that the wind has a bigger impact. and while we're breezy today, we're really going to pick it up as we get into tomorrow. we could see gusts upwards of 30 miles per hour as we get to the late afternoon and evening on friday. so i said this yesterday about today. i'm going to double down on it for tomorrow. make sure you've got everything secured in your home that needs to be secured on those patios. those trash cans. you don't want them to go flying. now, once this is all wrapped up, when we will have some wind on saturday,

the small business community thrive by watching a week of resources for owners. so this weekend. >> owners were able to take part in some panels, workshops resource fairs in order to help improve their businesses. city officials launching this is a way to celebrate shopping small and boostino the local economy. these free events are going to be hosted across the city and online. this is part of small business week kicks off on sunday and runs through may 3rd. more than 100,000 wpring camera. customers will b getting a refund after the amazon owned company reached a settlement with the federal trade commission. rain is accused of allowing contractors and employees to access customers, private videos and also failed to stop hackers from taking control of customers accounts, cameras and videos. more 117,000 customers certain types of cameras are going to split about 5.6 million dollars. the refund will be sent through paypal and have 30 days to redeem it. netflix now toying

jail after fighting with the police officer who was protecting the mayor of san jose. it all happened right in the middle. >> a kron 4 interview. remember, we play this video for you yesterday. well, now a resisting arrest with violence. the incident was caught by kron 4 cameras during a tuesday evening interview with san jose mayor matt mahan at first in san fernando as steps right next to the mayor. both he and the plainclothes san jose police officer providing security for the mayor in-form pollard.

that interview is under way do it. >> we're moving on record. i was just talking for reduced. mark. >> pollard uses profanity and tells the officer to mind his own business. what happens next is off camera. it's unclear who touches who first. but pollard is heard saying all smack you right right now 9 seconds later, he does just that hitting the officer in the face and head at least twice at that point. a scuffle in season. police are called witnesses say at some point pollard begins yanking on the officer's tie after 2 more minutes and police nowhere in sight. a customer from a nearby business comes to the offices. rescue removing pollard's hands from the officers tie and allowing the officer to handcuff him. police eventually arrived and

took pollard into custody. one person who witnessed the confrontation but didn't want to go on camera says he's not even sure that the suspect knew the mayor was even involved in all of this and was definitely clear that the person did not know that the security person protecting the mayor was actually a san jose police officer. while kron 4 has posted edited version of the video online sent as a police point out in a statement, the video does not contain the entire incident in particular. it does not include the officer identifying himself, nor does it include the many attempts teammate to de-escalate the situation and avoid using force or taking any enforcement action. police confirm pollard has an outstanding arrest warrant out of georgia for resisting arrest with violence. the officer was hospitalized overnight with head and neck pain. but it's now been released. the case is now under review by the santa clara county district attorney's office. dan kerman kron. 4 news.

>> the long anticipated documentary on the alexis gabe murder was finally released and then that the vent 23, a woman from oakley, went missing in january of 2022. and her partial remains were found near sacramento just months later, gabe's family, friends and community members gathered at sabrina pizzeria in oakley to watch the documentary together last night. the gabe family has been pushing hard for it to be released. they hope that a change is the public perception about the case and possibly leads to charges against the mother of alexis is ex-boyfriend. marshall jones. jones was the primary suspect in the case he was killed in a police standoff after watching the documentary. alexis, his parents say they were disappointed that the final product was missing. some key pieces, including a video of the suspects. mother. >> that video is really important and expecting to everyone to see. to the police. something like he said something like was cold but

it's not. with h and especially the inside of the house speak. what they do to us. that in. especially so >> in a statement to kron 4, the contra costa county district attorney's office says, quote, based on the evidence we have been provided by the investigating agencies. there's no indication anyone other than marshall jones was directly involved in the murder of alexis cape either as a director, perpetrator or an aider and abettor. the gabe family says they still intend to file a lawsuit against

jones's mother. a bill making its way through the state legislature wants to double the fines for protesters who block highways and freeways. this is coming after protesters blocked the golden gate bridge calling for cease-fire in gaza. california has seen an uptick in the number of these types of protests over the past few years. the bipartisan push comes amid a wave of protests. henry relation to the israel-hamas war under current state law. these protesters are find anywhere between $10500. but this bill aims to deter protesters by increasing those fines going all the way up to $1000, depending on past convictions. >> because we see that these laws on the books are are not enough, right? there's a good time to time to what's happening now. we believe in doubling that would give them mark tolls in their tool box to go those that are continually putting others lives at risk. keeping parents from dropping off their children school, things like that. >> the california highway

patrol association is in favor saying that these protest prevent first responders from doing their job. the exective director of the council on this american america. excuse american islamic relations spoke out against the bill saying legislators are using the pretense of transportation and public safety to quell first amendment activity. the bill passed in a transportation committee now goes to an assembly appropriations committee. all state could start to resume new homeowners policies in california. but only if the state department of insurance will allow it to use catastrophic modeling when requesting rate increases. so those models are made from a computer and its report that with simulated potential catastrophic events that could be used to justify rate increases. the company has not offered home insurance to people in california since 2022. citing wildfire risks the cost of rebuilding homes and the rising price of reinsurance as reasons for

halting new policies. all state issued a statement that reads in part, we're working to improve insurance availability in the state once home insurance rates of fully reflect the cost to providing perfect protection to customers, consumers. we'll be able to offer home insurance policies to more californians with timely rate approvals. the use of our advanced wildfire modeling and reinsurance costs. bart's expansion through the south bay is now taking shape crews out in santa clara yesterday getting the site ready for a new maintenance yard. this maintenance facility is slated to be built behind the santa clara transit centered across the border with san jose where 3 other bart stations will be built. transit officials expect the bart expansion to serve nearly 55,000 people. each weekday by 2040. there are some big changes coming for airline passengers as new laws are coming to crack down on those hidden fees and make it easier for customers to get a refund. those refunds will

be automatic. if your flight is delayed or canceled these new refund rules begin 6 months from now. so will help during the summer travel season, but should maybe by the holidays. could come in handy. you know, for thanksgiving and such. but if you're delayed by more than 3 hours for domestic flight or 6 hours on an international flight, airlines will be forced to give you an automatic refund instead of giving you a voucher and travelers we spoke with at sfo today say they are happy they're about to get some protections. scramble to find other. >> airlines flights to get on and then have to pay for that and not get refunded because you chose not to take that flight. so, yeah, it's been frustrating. >> the new legislation is being called the biggest expansion of passengers rights in transportation history. all right. get those resumes ready. the alameda county social services agency is hosting a job and resources. fair today. oakland n dozens of people lined up at the coliseum already this morning to speak with nearly 100

employers and career centers. companies are offering on the spot interviews and job offers. the event is also giving people the opportunity to get a free haircut and a professional headshot organizers say the fair is meant to help formally incarcerated residents get ahead in the job world. depending on where they're at in their journey. >> both may need some other services to get them to that employment. so we have certain know people make mistakes, but everybody deserves the opportunity to grow from those mistakes and do better in life. and that's what we're here for it. >> part of the celebration of national second chance month, the biden administration recognizes april is the time to support people returning from jails. we're going back into our communities. we'll talk about our forecast with this. look, look at what's happening here in san francisco. pretty shots of the clouds there. some blue skies

trying to peek out today. how gergen is here with details. yeah, hanging out lake tahoe here because i want to talk about their weather for a second. you can see the skies have been a little bit darker in the last hour or 2. >> but still pretty nice day out there. 53 degrees. you can see the wind is relatively light. we're going to get into the evening and everything's going to start to change. >> live look here from diamond peak. and you kind of see a little bit of haze out there. it's the cloud cover that's going to start rolling in as they've got some showers that are set to kickoff tonight that turn into snow showers as we get into the overnight. and then it wraps itself up rather quickly. we get to saturday. so just to show you futurecast, if you're headed up that way, lookout for some slick roads. this is this evening about 9.45. you can see the overnight with those temperatures drop the snowmaking kind of get going and then it gets into tomorrow. we have another little wave of moisture that rolls in. there's friday afternoon by friday evening. things should quiet down. and then as i mentioned, saturday will be pretty nice day out there. but when it's all said and done, it is spring snow. so it's not going to be a big system. but 3 to 6 inches of snow up at the peak. so a little something to happen for

worry yet because the law gives tiktok's chinese owner bytedance 9 months to sell the app with the possible three-month extension. if a sale is in progress, the certainly time on the books to see how this plays out. right now, there are concerns china's government has too much authority over the app. this is a huge collection tool and both in terms of data terms of propaganda for the chinese, that's why supporters of the law say forcing a sale to a non chinese owner is critical for u.s. national security. they're already american investors who are who are willing and are interested. but tiktok doesn't seem ready to sell. instead promising a lawsuit. we aren't going anywhere. confident that we will keep fighting for your rights in the courts. and tiktok ceo show choose says he thinks the when the facts and the constitution on our side and we expect to prevail. even some u.s. lawmakers say the new law violates free speech that could and likely will. >> result in widespread

>> sfo and the city of san francisco are facing a lawsuit by airline mechanic who says he lost his livelihood due to a faulty security turnstile. they say that it failed just before the remembrance of 9.11. it's now he's suing the city to get his job back. kron four's ken wayne has the story. >> put on the list with felons and murder and it's the same list, ok for tsa culture. spurlock doesn't want to show his face on camera because he's concerned it could be blacklisted by airlines because his airport security badge has been revoked on september 9th 2021, just 2 days before the 20th anniversary of the 9.11 attacks, the alaska airlines aviation mechanic was stopped at the employees. security turnstile want trying to go to work at sfo. >> he used his biometrics security badge to pass through, but it didn't work

on. his first attempt started through and then the turnstile froze up and locked up. >> so came back. i tried it again. i use my bad jen fingerprint like exposed to it gave me the green light now and through and that was the violation. they said that we had alex says he was accused of trying to circumvent security by trying to go through again after the turnstile froze. so what they did is they pulled my badge, astounds me from working at basically every airport. the commute side of stands for security identification display area. the san francisco city attorney's office responded by saying spurlock, quote. >> tampered with a secured access point which violated airport rules. the airport had previously warned employees that this type of conduct posed an unacceptable security threat, ensuring the safety and security of the airport is paramount. the decision to revoke their security badges is clearly warranted. and within the airports, discretion, the airport followed all necessary procedures. we look forward to discussing this matter.

that this proposed project includes new crosswalks protected bike lanes and turning angle parking spots into parallel parking. but business owners on grand avenue say that the removal of 30 to 40 spots along that area, it's going to cost people money. >> our concern is that if they take away. easy access to our businesses, it's going to be a lot harder for our customers able to get to us. and if we make even more impediments to. >> have customers come to the street. we are worried it will drive more business away from oakland and specifically more business away from small businesses in oakland. >> and this business owner also says she is all for safer streets and improving the area. but odot needs to consider more input from local businesses before moving ahead with the project. she owns a veterinary hospital and has been collecting feedback from clients in order to present that info to dot next month. some new details now about the terrifying crash of a universal studios tram which

overturned and that sent passengers falling onto the pavements. one family hurt in this crash has now hired a lawyer. they don't want to be identified but more than a dozen people were taken to hospital on saturday night after the tram hit a guardrail and then flipped over universal studio says all of the injuries were minor. the family's lawyer says that is not true. >> the guarded walls that come down on the tram. we're so weak that they gave out and allow the individuals to be hurled outside of the tram. this was by no means a minor accident with minor injuries. you know, transport a dozen individuals to the hospital for minor injuries. >> the lawyer says the mother, the family was thrown so violently that she she suffered bleeding to the brain. the crash is still under investigation. kron 4 is your local election headquarters. and if teenagers in san francisco get their way, the voting age should be lowered to 16 years old.

there's a youth activists name un barker plumber who is gaining some support among community leaders to back another attempt to pass the measure that would grant 16 year-old in san francisco the right to vote in local elections. he says this would help increase engagement overall in local elections. this, though, is the 3rd attempt to lower the voting age in san francisco. it failed to pass in 2016 and in 2020. we're looking outside right now seeing what it looks like across the golden gate bridge. the clouds seem to be sticking around again today. carlos, here with details on what's going on here and also across the rest of the state. but yeah, it's a little cloudy, high. know. haha. but we did get some sun this morning. i really appreciated that when i up this morning, have this really lovely view. our live and i walked over and thought, hey, there you are. beautiful day. >> 70 degrees in sacramento right now. they made it up to the 70's, but we're cool. run a little cool. you can see a loss angeles right now at 64 and obviously around the bay area. we have a lot of 60's a few 50's out there. 59 right

now, downtown san francisco. but 65 in san jose dublin's about 62 degrees. oakland about 63 sonoma. 62 warming up in santa rosa. we're close to that. 70 marx and roosevelt. you're not quite there. 69 degrees for you. this is what's going on, though. the wind is picking up an onshore flow is developing and you can see it really start to roll now from san francisco over towards hayward, you can see about 20 miles per hour there, obviously 20 miles per hour in nevado as well. this is what i think we're going to be talking about for the next 24 hours or so because we've got a front that's going to tractor in behind this front. it's going to be even windier tomorrow than it is today. right now, you can see just a little bit of moisture trying to make its way into the north bay as a few sprinkles, maybe a light shower. and this is all part of a system that's bringing rain up to the north of us right in the pacific northwest. so as we take a look at the wind any specific as an example, you know, pretty windy right now. tomorrow when we get to the afternoon, watch those numbers go even higher than where we're at right now. so that

san francisco international film festival is now underway. this is the 67th year of the festival between now and sunday. more than 80 films will be shown movie theaters across san francisco and in the east bay. 7 of the films are from bay area. filmmakers from documentaries to feature films there. 40 different countries represented this week. the director of programming says this year's selections feature many filmmakers who pulled stories from their own lives and real experiences. the festival will close on sunday and feel more details. you can find them on sf film dot org. and now if
