5:36 am
delayed domestically more than 3 hours or if your international flight is delayed more than 6 hours, no questions asked, you will get an automatic refund. no more vouchers given to you, which in essence, save the airlines money or sometimes they keep the money into their bank account and then you use the money again with the same airline. that's not the case. you will get an automatic refund. what about checked bags? same deal with that. we all pay for checked bags, right? well, if those bags domestically take longer than 12 hours after you land at your destination to arrive, you will also get an automatic here's secretary pete dye secretary of transportation, pete buttigieg saying this actually will help the airlines do better. >> in theory, passengers are already supposed to be refunded for a cancellation or a major delay in practice. it

often doesn't work that way. isn't just about enforcing when something goes wrong. it's making it less likely something would go wrong. >> so like the rest of you listen. you listen. but you really don't listen until hits your pocketbook. and according to buttigieg, this should save customers about 500 million dollars every year because the refunds are automatie. by the way, a lot of people get enticed into pride. those fees that you look into your late wow. flight from here to new york city say $150, but that once you go through all of that unit checked bags, the fees, the seats, it's a lot more. then what you first saw and buttigieg says that's really bait and switch. so there's also new rules that force airlines to disclose all of that. these basically the out the door price before you purchase that ticket to give you a decision whether or not you want to purchase that ticket.

potential jurors from serving on trials. brown is a criminal law professor at uc law. san francisco. >> this is probably just the tip of the iceberg. because there were a lot of bats and shenanigans going until california tightened its laws and what could happen next is not only could these death verdicts be set aside, but the entire case could be set aside. and some of these individuals may be given a new trial in its entirety. >> stephen clark is a former santa clara prosecutor and now defense attorney and legal analyst. while the death penalty cases are under the microscope, both legal analysts say that there has been sweeping changes in the past couple of decades, making jury selection more transparent. there's been a tremendous evolution and how jury selection is you have to have a legitimate reason for removing a juror. >> and you have to articulate that reason to the court. if asked.
