right now and we're checking out the weather for you on a wednesday morning. we are. we've got john standing by with a look at that. what's outside, john? yeah, a lot of what we got out there today. it looks a little bit like yesterday feels a little bit more humid than yesterday, though. that's a change from where we were. 24 hours ago. >> also a change just how much farther inland that low gray intrudes, some mid-level stratus that is stretching out into the central valley. yesterday we saw some stormy weather for the central valley in the sierra dodge that here in the bay area. but we will be looking at a chance of sprinkles later on this week as this low pressure moves its way across the region today, it's just dragging up a southerly winds just enough to transport some humid air into the bay area. and that's resulting in that muggy feel lot of clouds today and tomorrow is going to be partly cloudy as well. and just as cool as today is about to be tomorrow night into friday morning, a chance of a few
9:15 am
light sprinkles here. and there really friday afternoon out towards the interior, the delta and the central valley. look at that thunderstorm activity that pops up a pretty unsettled forecast as that low moves across the region. we are going to be looking at maybe a sprinkle or 2. again, this is towards the start of the weekend on into friday. as for the sierra thunderstorms this weekend up there specially friday and also a little bit, a very high elevation snowfall, potentially one of the last of the year for a lot of areas and only at those highest elevations in the bay today it's going to be low 60's at the coast and then mid to upper 60's elsewhere. generally just a cooler forecast today with all that cloud cover sticking around. go ahead. get a little yard work. it's not going to be as windy as yesterday. some maybe a good day to recap some leaves some debris out of the driveway. oakland sitting at 65 degrees, antioch, pittsburgh in concord. some of our warmer spots at 69. tomorrow's temperatures right around the same as today's friday does come along with
9:16 am
that slight chance of a sprinkle or 2 thunderstorms expected in the sierra and the central valley on friday. after that, though, we are common things down with 60's and 70's and nothing but the sunshine from saturday into next week reena. all right, john, thank you for that. still pretty slow in our 9 o'clock hour here here in the south bay or traveling along the peninsula just under an hour. but still about 15 minutes to make it from 85 to menlo park. 85 to 80. not that great as well. >> because things are building in the 8 o'clock hour. so just seen a little left over from there. hopefully as the hour goes on, going start to drop down a lower a ridge right now. 14 minutes meter lights still on no accidents on our bridges. that from 30 to 21 on the san mateo bridge right now. check out things over in the east bay. so and don't know. pete is about 41 minute, got to choose between the 2 look at looking much better traveling to oakland, emily. look at 80 clocking out towards the major start to build it sobrante just at 25

minutes. darya. james, back to you. time to winners and losers with our financial expert rob black. how the markets are up. >> as the morning has gone on, we want to take tire start again. okay. one hour ago they hired aria scandal winners. tesla had good numbers now tesla said they're going make a cheaper car soon. so interest rates have moved higher. and that's a big headwind for investments. it's easier to save money earned 4.6%. but it is to go out and go after stocks right now. >> to test was up 11% on a cheaper car note of you to over promise and under deliver. so way. why not put a face? you don't. i love the idea of a cheaper tesla. is that a bad move? what you're >> one month ago he said that he wasn't going to do it and now because he's a demand for evs is going down china's i'm not buying his cars he's getting looks the cybertrucks

not working out terribly well, right is getting backlash from investors and now he says, oh, when will do this and we're all going to robot taxis. keep in mind, he's promised remote access for 6 years and full self-driving for like 10 and i and neither of them are here yet. so you can over promise under deliver. opened. >> i say, ok, so that's that's what the and you we just found out that there's all these job cuts coming to tesla to effect. a lot of bay area people. >> which is actually a good thing because you have fewer demand for cars. you have to cut the manufacturing and in the end, they are a car company who manufactures cars. so there's not a big difference them in ford and gm when they're not innovating and technology, the technology is just not being all that innovative tuesday started. okay. you know, the innovative to me is a bar where i could go watch sports. >> that's not called a because that's clearly not for women. and the one that's going to be franchise. it's called sports >> so >> instead of sports bar, it's called sports bra.
9:19 am
>> and it's aimed at may. >> it's aimed at women's i want to watch caitlin clark just as much as a lot of women do. i remember being a younger man going into, you bars or restaurants in your football players. and want to be like have women represented in sports and kind of kicking versus the men and ratings and in performance in the last 2 years. so whether its women's soccer and or women's basketball of people should be open good place. owner doesn't like what are you talking about? wow means is that all sports bras sports for and that went, where will they be? is it we're going to be chained will warning. >> portland right now and it will be a one of the owners start founders reddit. asking honey and i don't remember his first name, but he's putting up the money for it. and sounds like a great read he's thinking he's >> serena williams. yeah, of course he's doing. that's amazing. i bet she was like
9:20 am
honey, we need a great place to show women's sports. this is amazing. >> i mean, i think it's a great idea. what i do with wall street is all about product, whether it's in air, microsoft, even things like bars. it mean, is it going to be the next cheesecake factory and public? i don't probably not when it assumes so. if there's demand, let's let's fix it in time. create some supply of all right. i love it. and i love the name of also what's going on with a tiktok. i know that the clock countdown is on, right there were taken a laxative speak tiktok biden's going probably signed deal today. congress approved all. >> in the last 5 days. so by 2025 tiktok will not be the same company. it is today. bytedance will be challenging tpit in court over free speech for 170 million americans. keep in mind bytedance a chinese company. china doesn't let our companies like google, microsoft and apple have free speech in their country. seems
9:21 am
fair if you ask me, it's got a deal that has to wrap up in 9 months. the president, whoever it is can add an extra 3. notice. the timing is after the elections it goes straight to the u.s. court of appeal. so this can't get bogged down in the judicial system for a long period of time. china says there some companies it's kind of useless. but you're looking at some of the 200 to 300 billion dollars. bn basking priced out the algorithm. you're not going to get buyers. but that being said, steve newton, he steered treasury secretary. he's putting together a pool of investors. this is too big for a company like apple or google to buy without seriously diluting their shareholders. okay. that. >> just an aside. you said steve mnuchin. i thought you said nugent like ted nugent. i was like, hey, what happened him squirrel? okay. anyway. so i would just ask one more thing at when it comes to likes streaming. i don't do tiktok or something, but i do all the subscriptions and i leave it. i think, boy, if i were smart, i would just, you know, get a subscription when
9:22 am
they had a show. i like finish the show and then cancel the subscription. >> 30 million americans and ryan are doing exactly that. it canceled over 3 subscription services in the last 2 years of which 40% of those were new subscriptions in that year. so people are watching their shows and they're becoming costs savvy and they're telling their funds, remind me and 6 weeks when the free trial runs out to cancel or in 6 months to cancel it before it goes on the higher pay rate. it's kind of interesting that i like the idea. netflix says they're not report their subscriber turn in the future in large part because they don't want the competition know how many people are leaving their platforms. but disney, fox and warner brothers are starting to sports network that this kind of call up baseball. you get hockey, get in and be a good football. so trying to stop people from leaving after a period of time and peacock right before the playoffs started in the nfl. they said, hey, if you buy for a whole year will give you 50% off. so. they're getting innovative with trying to keep it stick
