institutions teachers for tomorrow residency program. what we want to do is have a strong balance between the clinical practice side and the academic side so that aspiring educators are coming in. >> they're they're getting the academic theory and they're also getting a strong practice in the field. graduate students over coming in equity, pursuing careers as teachers who otherwise would focus on higher paying jobs. instead an opportunity to advance their passions in education. we have limited number of spots >> to be able to provide an offer to people. program pays each teaching apprentice $32,500 to combine a year's worth of classwork at saint mary's college of california and a concurrent year of mentorship from a san ramon valley unified school district teacher with live classroom experience. >> they will earn a teaching credential sanctioned by the state but guaranteed district

in his new york criminal trial held a special hearing to decide whether his post violate a gag order. the judge issued a gag order barring the former president from publicly criticizing witnesses. but trump posted anyway lashing out at his former lawyer michael cohen and adult film star stormy daniels. prosecutors argued the judge should does find the former president. >> if you or i were subject to this gag order and we tweeted like that would be locked up in a flash. but you and i are about mister trump. >> the judge is expected to rule on whether trump will be fined in the coming days. >> coming up in sports, much of a giant success this season has come from the pitching of logan webb next in sports, jason dumas is live at oracle park with a report on the giants ace.

they're playing the mets, of course, and there are 11 in 13. so just marginally better than they were last year. now the giants want to start seeing some consistency. they're going to have to take advantage of logan webb starts. he's been their best player by far over the last 2 years or so. we haven't really been close and he's won. his last 3 starts right now. he has an of 2.9, 2. now i asked bob melvin. what has it been like? coaching logan webb and how can you guys take advantage of when he's on the bump? >> it's been easy. he made easy on me. so he's pretty impactful dire now. obviously his track record speaks for itself as a pitcher, but also his leadership here. you know, i always felt by fan base. nobody else sees is a real guy here. now. >> and obviously always important to score runs. but when you have some really stuff on the boat comes to run, support.

tomorrow. again, plenty of clouds rolling on by a and slowly breaking up and maybe some drizzle out there as well as we head into going to see some more passing clouds and some drizzle, possibly 2. and then we get to friday. that's what a weak cold front comes to town. some snow in the sierra nevada. if you're headed in that direction, be prepared, likely to run some snowflakes there. slight chance of a few scattered light showers here in the bay area. not going to be much, but there's that chance with some cool temperatures to go along with that tomorrow. highs going to be the 50's 60's and san francisco. it's low clouds and fog. not much clearing co side temperatures. they're generally in the 50's inside the bay. you'll see some partial clearing into the afternoon about 65 in palo alto. lot of 60's in the south bay by tomorrow afternoon, 60's and low 70's well inland, maybe in the warmer spots in the interior valleys. but you can see the cloud cover. you can kind of lingering late in the day. and that's just kind of how it's going to play out the next couple days. staying below the average as we head through thursday with a slight chance of showers on friday. warmer weekend ahead of warmer weather in the next week.

to have that rain up and running by the summer olympics in 2028. well, speaking of transportation, gas prices are going up and they're not expected to go back down until the summer. currently, we're paying $0.4 more this week per gallon than last. $0.21 more. >> this month than last month and $0.59 more since the beginning of the year. demand is up. supply is down. more people are driving because of the warmer weather. and as we get closer to the summer months, drivers are not happy to see those rising prices. >> it's pretty ridiculous. i mean, i remember pandemic prices. it to 50 one point. so most kinda tripled. now. >> so let's take a look at prices around the bay area. the most expensive gas can be found in napa county where it's about 5.72 for a gallon of regular. the cheapest is in santa clara where the average price for a gallon of regular is just over $5.50. >> on the market for a robot dog flame thrower who look no further. a closer look at how further. a closer look at how it works after the break.

>> francisco mayor london breed says the city is moving forward with plans to welcome giant pandas back to the san francisco zoo. she says the city has started local fundraising efforts and she's introduced a resolution at the board of supervisors, 2 out various city departments to begin raising money from private entities. so far there's no specific timeline on when the pandas will be arriving in san francisco. that timing depends on the construction of a enclosure for them at the zoo. it's not
