well now to the ongoing saga of sean diddy combs saturday, the new york post reported that the fbi is considering widening its probe of diddy after a lawsuit alleges that the rapper bragged about committing a 1999 shooting at a new york city nightclub and even bribed witnesses and jurors after the fact newsnation's. emily finn has has details from the east coast. >> over the past 30 years, mister combs behavior has demonstrated. she appears to have a propensity towards violence. the long list of allegations diddy is facing could be growing with law enforcement sources telling the new york post that the infamous 1999, new york city nightclub shooting involving diddy. >> j lo and other musicians could be reinvestigated in a lawsuit last month. producer rodney little rob jones accused it of sexually assaulting him on numerous occasions and forcing him to acquire workers and drugs. those allegations are similar to alleged crimes. the wrecker is accused of in the past, but the new details from the
8:33 am
lawsuit focus on diddy's alleged behavior following the 1999 nightclub shooting. jones claims that diddy openly bragged about the shooting and that he bribed witnesses and jurors to make sure he was acquitted. jones also said that did he use j lo as a quote, gun mule to smuggle the weapon into the nightclub. newsnation interview to tanya rubin who alleges she was shot that night back in 1999. and he's even willing to undergo surgery to help with the trial better to tell you what happened then the person who got and that and that in between my willing to have a doctor would move a part of the 9 millimeter bullet in my face so that they can use it as evidence if need be. so this time the did the saga began after homeland security raided the rapper's homes in los angeles and miami emptying safes, dismantling electronics and seizing security systems. there are allegations of trafficking, human trafficking, illegal ownership or possession, i should say of weapons. >> as well as drugs when you

rodney jones filed his lawsuit and several months after 4 women including diddy's ex girlfriend, cassie came forward accusing him of running and epstein like operation involving trafficking and blackmailing high-profile celebrities and politicians. >> well, back here on the west coast in the bay area news asia sf is set to close today on transgender day of visibility. it's a night club in san francisco where transgender cabaret performances have happened for nearly 3 decades. the club originally opened back in 1998, and quickly became a cultural landmark. the owners say they're unable to continue business because of the revenue last they saw during the pandemic. however, they do say that the physical space is closing, but the legacy will live on through pop-up events. take a listen. >> we want to look at this is not the end, but really the beginning of a new opportunity or we can take what we do. be on the doors of 9th. and
8:36 am
howard, to, you know, all across the city in the bay area and beyond. >> the owners and workers say that over the years a nightclub has been an important sanctuary for transgender people. so they are very excited could continue that legacy through those pop-up events. >> well, happening tomorrow, california's minimum wage for fast-food workers will jump to $20 an hour. but not everyone is happy about this wage hike. several franchises have started cutting jobs to offset the rising wages. >> and mcdonald's and chipotle are some of them. they're already signaling prices will be rising in response to this increased labor costs. and the new law makes california's minimum wage the highest in the entire country. well, easter is one of the busiest times of the year, especially for chocolate makers. and this is all despite chocolate prices being a record high. take a look at a recent study says that the price of chocolate rabbits has increased to 7% along with chocolate eggs, seeing an
8:37 am
increase of nearly 12%. both the candies are averaging just under $3 for each cost, that higher than last year that weather conditions in west africa, which is leading to this. that's a global supplier of cocoa. and they say that's one of the reasons for these price hikes in the national retail federation says they do project that americans will still spend about 3 billion dollars on candy. this easter. >> we all like to do a lot of like she's struck a tree board night and nice to get like chocolate bars to go with that. and now it feels like that's the most expensive thing that we would have to buy. >> with love cheese ports and chocolate. but on to the story, big chocolate companies like hershey's and cadbury maker mondelez say they are raising their prices this year. despite this, the company says they do still expect a good revenue return because they expect people are going to continue to buy chocolate. and overall easter spending this year is expected to reach a near record level because the national retail

stand will be set up outside pocket monkey vintage, which used clothing and vintage shop in benicia. but it's not the only box in the bay area. so if you're interested in this, there's also one down in oakland, excuse me, down in san jose. there's one in oakland in the east bay and of course, in the north bay, there's one in santa rosa. so out there on those walks. want to keep an eye out for the little blue blockbuster box. the estimated grand prize now climbs to 975 million dollars. there were 4 tickets that matched 5 numbers, but it did miss the powerball. none of them were purchased here in california. unfortunately, count us out. but if someone does win the powerball jackpot in the next drawing, it will be the 5th largest powerball payout in u.s. history that drawing is set to take place monday night. tomorrow's you better buy those tickets.

sunday. dave, what's it looking like out there? all right, michael, just the patient will probably improve those skies as we get into the afternoon. good morning, everybody. here's what it looks like on storm tracker. 4, all the activity for the most part to the south. another is a last little wave to be had. we will see that pop a little bit. >> in a few isolated showers going on this afternoon when we get the maximum daytime heating. also, what's all this white business here? that's the winter storm warning we've been talking about that sent him until 11 o'clock this morning up there in tahoe, lower 50's on at the east bay shoreline. lots of 40's. well east. 54 for antioch, but a warmup obviously up to the north 45 santa rosa. 54 san francisco back to the models here. you can see the snow that continues and actually starts to wane this afternoon. while we get the heating. yep, it starts bubbling up a little bit, particularly on the east bay hill's a little bit. looks like there and out of the south as well. again, this will be isolated. not everybody's going to get it. it comes and then it goes and then clears out in its wake. all this is going to be at
8:47 am
night by that point. what happens early in the week, a little bit of a warming wednesday, we get interruption from a system that looks largely dry by thursday kits. far more interesting notice a mountain snows return and how close that core low is. this is going to be everything for us can do in this kind of program like we did this last weekend and notice the higher elevations may be some token snow to look at it. that comes together not going and mount much of anything but its nice to look at least and then going forward should start to clear up by the latter portion next week. and that's the thinking. we have to get more of a pinpoint on this when we get later on in the forecast period. but for your easter sunday about 60 san francisco in the coast, we keep it in the upper 50's. 62 burlingame, 64 foster city palo out to about 65. mid to upper 60's down south here in the south bay. not bad. mid 60's east bay shoreline and that's match pretty much what wright ali, 65 for walnut creek. 59 1 on for berkeley. billy, what 61? 66 fairfield, 64 for napa and
8:48 am
67 santa rosa. and here it is a spring time forecast. little pop warming up here comes that kind of dry system breezy by thursday and night. we should see some rain developing and still looks like a little sloppy early into the weekend. today's the big day for mister cotton tail and company michael. all right. well, >> welcome back, everybody. it is easter sunday. and what better way than to spend the day adopting a bunny actually have one here in my lap. this is save the bunny. i'm here tpwith marci this morning. good morning and thank you for joining thanks, openness. yes, so talk a little bit about this. we've got these these little tiny creatures are so cute. i told looks just like the chocolate bunnie yes, this bunnies just can't just just for the barbie mover, the barbie movie. so is this barbie note? that's actually it's pretty funny. well, wasn't funny, but her name is locked in the box all because she was. she's a lock your bunny. and she was left in box in front of us safely. and how
8:49 am
how can we help with that? what is the overall goal so that we something like that doesn't happen again? well, the goal is to do your research first. >> rabbits are so much more work that a lot of people think they're not a good starter pet. they're great for people who want a small pad with a lot of personality. it's like having of eating cat. they when they're spayed and neutered litter box just like a cat and they're easily as intelligent as matter she's moving and so saving money. essentially, everybody. they're hoping that, you know, we can get some of these bunnies adopted, essentially were telling me instead of buying a chocolate bunny, you could actually help adopt one of these bunnies, right? and how can they do that? you're based out of mill valley are based in mill valley. we work with about 35 animal shelters. >> and so what people can do is they can go to our website. we have an application there and what we're looking for. our homes. >> that the bunny will be an integral part of the family. so the bunny will live indoors. i have run of the
8:50 am
house. it's ok being like, don't run. she's ok. and you know, i have a friend who has who has a bunny the adopted the bunny. and stephanie really do treat it in the house well as those kind of things in the really love and enjoy it. >> how many rescues have you guys been seen recently are how many do lays have right now that need to be rescued and given to a home? well, actually, right now we've got couple of 100 that are looking for homes. >> it's a real crisis in the bay area right now. the easter bunny's also start to show up during the summer vacations. people who got their easter bunnies are traveling and they dump them at the shelters and then a christmastime when those baby bunnies that were supposedly 2 females that they got at the pet store have been having babies. and so they dumped him at the shelter. so right now, the best thing to do is to if you're not sure about what it's like to live with a bunny to foster rabbit. we said everybody up with all the supplies that they need. and see if you'd like it.
8:51 am
>> and how long can they do that? so let's say you wanted to foster when they go to you all. and they say, hey, i want to foster. one is in a two-week process a month process. we try to make it work for each individual person. and we also work hard to match the right wrap it with the right families. so they may come in and say i want that little one, but they actually really want the big one that is going like just can is little really? yeah, we i've had bunnies are 15 pounds. they go and all types of. >> ages sizes and and talk a little bit about taking care of one to, let's say, you know, they do want to adopt one. >> is it a lot of work? i mean, what? what are some things that people should know if they're going into this adoption? what they should know is is that rapids are more work than a lot of people think they're definitely more work than a cat. they're close to the amount of work as a dog. it's not just parents didn't know and actually carrots or by giving them
8:52 am
candy wow. yeah. so the most mostly what they need is hey, and that you pay and then they eat fresh greens. >> you want to, proof your home? because bunnies a curious and so they might find your computer wires. very interesting. and because they're so domesticated, these guys are not wild. rabbits. >> to interrupt you for a second. i mean, it is easter. this would essentially be perfect easter gift for any child out there. it would probably be so excited. where can parents or people who are maybe looking just to adopt one head to what your website and what's the process works. save up on dot org and actually >> easter's easter some mix time. sometimes it's a good time to get a bunny. and sometimes it's a good time to discover that it's not right to get a bunny because we do not encourage parents to get their rapid up get the rabbit get their child easter bunny. they're great for adults like
8:53 am
if you say you live in the city, you wanted to pat summitt you want to heavy. you have to walk in the middle of the night. you want to wrap it and is is just can up reduction can is up for adoption. what is her name? this is locked in the bomb blast in the box, ok? will both ken is up for adoption? and so as long so it off in the box. so if you are interested in getting one of these furry creatures. >> a home, marcia whats the website they can go to save up money, dot org and we would love to help people out. right? well, thank you so much for joining us on easter sunday, everybody. we'll be right back. i'm in a gravelly roller and hopefully don't get too attached. we're happy to set you as a >> we're going >> you know, it says so.

8:57 am
but that was short-lived as the guardians proved too much proved too much for the a's. bullpen, the guardians would go on to win 12 to 3 as the a's are still looking for their first win of the season. are, however, playing in oakland today at 105. we'll take a look. it's a $70,000 robot. it's being used at alaska's fairbanks airport to essentially scare off some of the migrant birds. >> that are congregating near the runways. alaska's department of transportation and public facilities say this robot will be disguised as a coyote or a fox. >> and it will hopefully make hourly patrols at the airport. according to the faa, 10 of alaska's 92 animal strikes on planes happened in fairbanks. >> officials hope that aurora, that is the robot's name or coyote a dog, i should say is going to help keep planes from being damaged and keep animals and human safe. well, still

>> from the area's local news station, you're watching the kron. 4 morning news at no. >> good morning, everyone. and thank you for joining us on the kron. 4 morning news. i'm michael thomas in for stefanie land. we've got a lot to talk about this sunday morning. but first, let's get a look at what the skies are looking like with dave spahr in the weather center. good morning well. good morning, michael. good morning, everybody. the sky's looking kind of overcast for right now over most of the bay and point certainly south. now, this will open up a little bit to kind of a mixed bag of those sun and clouds. and we do still run the risk of a few isolated showers, still working their magic. they look to be favoring the east bay and banging up against the east bay hills. a little bit. >> as we get an offshore flow pattern right now, we have the half moon bay on the screen there. you can see some of the sun trying to peer through behind it a little bit, but certainly almost stormy looking as you look off towards the sea. now it's a course to come see, though, as far as with the cloud cover, looks like again, we're kind of socked in right here and low level moisture we have to contend with as well. it's pretty moist all the way up. so this mixing process will be
9:02 am
a little slow going calm, the single digits for those winds, although a little pop is expected later on. we do see an offshore kind of pop later 50's on the board for most of our readings were at 48 livermore. 49 fremont and palo alto. 47 again, everybody redwood city, too. but everybody else pretty much in the 50's and that compares to a couple degrees behind in many locations compared to yesterday. and a little ahead and other. so again, the mixed bag, a sun and clouds. it doesn't really notice here. but by 4 o'clock or so, you probably will start to see in the east bay a little bit in the higher elevations. there might start to see a few isolated showers there. that probably won't be the fireworks like we had from yesterday. so much now. nice. warm up is expected early next week. we'll getting into that coming up in a bit. michael. >> all right. thanks, dave.e can't wait for that. warm up. well, developing this morning, an apartment building evacuated overnight after firefighters were called out for an unknown odor. it happened on lee avenue right near interstate 2.80, around
9:03 am
9.30, last night. 3 people had to be taken to the hospital. the apartment was evacuated completely. a hazmat team was brought in along with the bomb squad to investigate. officials did not find anything suspicious and residents were allowed to return back into the building. but not until about 1 o'clock this morning. a deadly plane crash near lake tahoe killing at least 2 people. truckee. police say the plane went down saturday evening just about a mile or so from truckee tahoe airport recorder. kimberly cruz is in truckee with the details. >> take a look behind me. you can pieces of debris from that plane, including a tire that you see off to the side. >> and as we move even further down the road, roads, you'll see union pacific railroad workers and other law enforcement agencies and best a gate in even more debris from this plane. they've also been going down this hill and into these trees using their flash. i taking pictures in investigating the area there. now, what we know so far is that tricky. police has confirmed that at least 2 people died from this crash.
9:04 am
