attacked in berkeley. police say happened on sunday on the corner of sacramento's treated derby. they say the victim was punched in the head when she fell to the ground. the suspect stopped on her head. the woman is they say the woman was also robbed. investigators say the 2 attackers were young women. >> when they approached the victim on the sidewalk and attacked her, they ripped her bag from her, stole her bag and then they stole her cell phone out out of her hand. we have numerous robberies throughout berkeley. this is one of those cases where we don't necessarily see such a blatant attack stomping on the victim's head. this is something that's still very scary. and it's very scary to people that live in the community and especially in the neighborhood. >> anyone with any information about the robbery is asked to contact berkeley police. prosecutors say no charges will be filed after a man says he was brutally attacked over a costco parking spot. this 7 in danville. the first told you about craig blackburn tuesday night. he says he was eating a hot dog. well, loading his car. the daniel costco last weekend when a man was waiting to take blackburn

>> the san francisco fire department. they're sounding the alarm about lithium ion batteries catching on fire, but a color they're saying and high-rise buildings. it's actually a growing problem nationwide. batteries used up our e-scooters and e-bikes can actually overheat during changing in. they can also catch fire. if you're charging them overnight, while some residents are sleep, of our captain jonathan baxter says if you have one of these devices, be sure not to throw away the charging instructions.

from the east bay hill still looking at some clear conditions. you can see that blanket of cloud cover sitting just above the bay. glad to see. >> that it's settled aloft a little bit rather than settling right into the bay. >> because that would result in those lower visibility conditions and the fog that we ducey oftentimes, but not the past few days. we've been blessed by having that cloud cover right above us. high pressure ridge is sitting in place at this point that is going to continue to keep us dry fog at the coastline, especially as we move into the weekend. but as of today, that blanket sitting right up there, i'm going to be taking a look at it closely this morning. see if it settles into the bay. see if we do see some visibility issues. but as of right now, you're good into tomorrow. temperatures will begin to climb a little bit further. that's when we're going to be seeing some low 80's come saturday and sunday. there's your low 90's for inland areas. the peak of our warm up before we cool back down gradually into next week. winds not as much of a factor as yesterday, which will be a nice note today. overall just

president biden is slamming republicans propose spending cuts just a day after meeting with house speaker kevin mccarthy. biden accuse republicans of holding the economy hostage during a speech in new york on wednesday. he also set spending cuts would be devastating schools and school programs. biden signaled willingness to discuss pending in the future, but set that should not be tied to current negotiations. he's actually florted the idea of using the d th amendment to go aro congress. senate majority leader mitch mcconnell says that will be necessary. >> may have it. been said publicly. >> after the meeting is fact >> ultimately an agreement will be reached joe biden, kevin mccarthy and the country will not default. >> i done mcconnell and other congressional leaders will meet again friday for another round of negotiations. former raiders wide receiver henry ruggs entered a guilty plea in las vegas courtroom on
