>> wishing her a swift and fast recovery. >> and let's go ahead and take a live look at the bay bridge. now i'm hearing that there's quite a spectacle brewing out >> and there it is, britney. i mean, it's completely hidden by fog. and then karl, the fog really making an appearance. so, yeah, i want people to know that they're out there in full force. karl, the fog is working hard today. that's for sure. we actually have a dense fog advisory.tso we're trying to show you cameras from all over the region to set that tone. so you can see right here, this is actually should be the san mateo bridge. but i can show it to you. why? because of the dense fog. so again, it says that the tone of what to anticipate as we start your saturday are going to see foggy conditions shown right here. so again, you want to make sure to leave early and use your low beams if you're traveling for the next couple of hours, you can see that dense fog advisory really happening from santa rosa all the way down to san jose. so if you're traveling today again, you've got to bring
7:49 am
your a game because it's dangerous to drive in dense fog. it's hard to see and on top of the dense fog, what else we're watching is this chilly temperatures. so as you walk out the door, you're going to notice chilly temperatures just like you did yesterday. so what we're anticipating today is temperatures are going to be right there at average. now, earlier this week, we broke records. those temperatures were in the 70's in some today. we're going to be right there at average above average in san francisco year averages. 58. we're at 62 today. oakland, your average is 60. we're looking at 63 san jose. your average is 60. we're looking at 66. it is january. so that still kind of warm as warm as it was earlier this week. but it's still kind of warm right? santa rosa, you are above average temperatures as well. so we have this high pressure system and winds bringing us those warmer temperatures. but it's really this low pressure system coming from the north dropping down those temperatures and given us a lot of action. so as we plan your day tomorrow, what we're going to watch for that anticipation of some rain, i think it's going to be
7:50 am
less than a 10th of an inch of rain. but still set the tone what to anticipate tomorrow on top of a wind advisory in some places to the north, we could see wind gusts up to 30 to 40 miles per hour. and the concern with that is once you hit 31 miles per hour. that's when you start to hear whistling sounds. but take a look. once you hit 39 miles per hour and again, we could have wind gusts up to 40 miles per hour. that's where we get concerned about whole being removed because we have to think about that saturated soil we've had from all the storm. so a lot to talk about and to layer on to that. we're going have colder temperatures. a freeze watch is actually going to start tonight and it's going to stay that way as we roll into monday. so very active weather. a lot going on in the forecast. but what will watch for you as that windy conditions tomorrow, the chance of rain. and then for the next couple of days, we're going to freeze. watch, stephanie. so a lot going on in the weather center for sure. alright, brittany, thank you so much for staying on top of that for us and east bay, nursing home worker faces felony charges in connection

8:16 am
temperature change again. it's going to be a lot like it was yesterday. it's still chilly as we take a look at your highs were right there at average, right? there may be teetering a little bit above average. so it's going to get colder. so enjoy today while you can. i guess san jose, we're at 62 mountain view. we're at 60 on the coast. we're going to be right there. half moon bay at 55 san francisco. 53 up to the north santa rosa. again, you're looking at 60. but overall, we were really one last week breaking records and that temperature is really going to start to dip down with a high pressure system, bringing us those warm temperatures. but we have this low pressure system coming from the north giving us a couple different issues. tomorrow we have the potential. i think it's going to be the morning again. you can wake up with us. we'll track it for you hour by hour. but with the potential for rain, i think it's going to be light showers. a model showing nothing more than a 10th of an inch, but still could be a little aggravating you plan your day. i think the bigger story for us tomorrow. we'll have a wind advisory kicking off at 1 o'clock. and then
8:17 am
again, that's when you can start to see those wind gusts up to 40 miles per hour or so. whenever we had wind gusts of 31 miles per hour. that's when you start to hear that whistling. and maybe you heard that earlier this week because we are really watching a wind advcsory to the north when we hit 39 miles per hour. then we're concerned about trees falling over because you got to think about all that saturated soil we had from all those showers and then we have those gusty breezy winds. we could knock down some trees. it could cause issues with power poles, just a potential for a lot of problems. that, of course, we'll continue to update you throughout the day as we roll into work week. those temperatures really dropping. we're going to go into a freeze watch sunday night into monday. we'll stay connected throughout the week o% to make sure you and your family are safe, stephanie. all right, brittany, thank you. the forty-niners are now just one day away from taking on the philadelphia eagles in the nfc championship. >> the winner goes on to the super bowl. come for sports reporter kate rooney is live for us in philadelphia with more tomorrow's big game. good morning to you, kate.
