off towards the distance, but to get ready for some decent amount of sunshine here night for the fog stuff all the way to tonight because i want to show you something as we go through tonight. there it is that nice little line dropping south around midnight or so. golly, gee, i wonder what that is. well, that's kind of a squall line going on for us. we expect some heavier rain marching through right there in the dead of night, coupled with some winds with that and that will probably eat up some of the fog issue by tomorrow morning. so we won't be having much in the way of intrusion. fog by tomorrow morning did see some 30's last hour. but now we graduated to the 40's now 50's cover most of the east bay at this hour. just to give you comparison sake were trailing by more than half a dozen degrees, particularly up in the north bay, not as pronounced round the breath of the general bay winds are generally speaking on shore. they're going to remain, though, with a little bit of a southern bias a bit until we get into next week. and that's when some of the cooler air will start filtering in. there's the low way up there in the northwest as you would notice. so the breakdown again, skipping some variable

clouds on tap today as we see high temperatures in the lower 60's coming up in a bit. we'll kind of walk you through this rain coming tonight into early next week, stephanie. all right. thanks a lot, dave. >> now to a major story. we continue to follow for you this morning. friends and family of missing oakley woman. alexis gabe may finally have some closure. investigators found her remains in a small city just outside of sacramento. police believe she was killed by her ex-boyfriend. kron four's. amanda hari spoke with a nonprofit that helped with the search. >> after months of searching the remains of 24 year-old alexis, gabe of oakley have been found a resident of plymouth notified the amador county sheriff's office that they found. they thought where human remains a forensic dental specialist confirmed they belong to gate. >> on the one hand, it's relief relief that they know what happened in have to search any longer. but i can tell you that when my daughter, when i discovered that my daughter was truly

debt. was the saddest day of my life. and i didn't want to wake up the next morning. mark last his daughter, polly, was kidnapped and killed back in 1993. >> since then, his foundation has raised awareness about missing people like gave up despite police declaring gave homicide victim in june class imagines this confirmation of her death will be the family. you hold out hope until the very, very last moment. >> now you have 2 gave went missing back in january. investigators believe she was killed by her ex-boyfriend. marshall jones. >> he was killed by police over the summer in washington. well, coming at officers with a knife due to the condition of alexis's remains the city of oakley. officials believe there may never be a full recovery class as the gabe family did a great job keeping alexa's name in the media. they created a facebook page with more than 16,000 members to help bring alexis home. he says that effort is imperative

in cases like this. >> you have to keep it there because there are so many missing people. the law enforcement, it's forced to either end and but quick cases on the back burner. something because nothing is happening. >> and that was amanda hari reporting for us this morning. the oakland police department holds a press conference tomorrow morning at 11 and we will bring you any late breaking updates from that. as soon as we get that information. in the south bay, police arrested 3 carjacking suspects in santa clara. that arrest happening on september. 26 at jenny strand park in santa clara. police say the victim met with one of the suspects at the park and that's when investigators say the victim was assaulted with a weapon and his car was taken. officers arrested one woman and 2 men in connection with the carjacking. they are all booked in the santa clara county jail. happening now, deputies in san mateo county are looking for 3 men who

broke into 2 homes in san carlos last night. the first burglary happened on the 1400 block of edmond drive just after 8 last night, deputies arrived at the scene and learned that the burglars broke into the home and ransacked through the bedrooms. about an hour later, another burglary reported on drake avenue. the bedrooms there also ransacked deputies believe the same 3 men are responsible for both incidents. they are now looking for surveillance video to help them track down any suspects. >> all right. happening now, the 21st annual golden gate, half marathon is officially underway. >> people from all across the bay area of laced up their shoes and are currently in the heat of this race. kron four's camila barco is live for us in san francisco. camila. how's it looking this morning? >> well, stephanie, let me just say that extra hour of sleep definitely did. these some good. take a look. you'll see a few of them actually running this race right now. the golden gate race has begun

started about 15 minutes or so ago. and stephanie, more than 6,000 runners are participating and this year's half marathon and 5 k this is the 21st year. organizers are hosting this run. the race starts at venice avenue, new york park and the course takes runners all throughout the city. the run through the marina, the presidio and through the golden gate bridge twice the 13 mile race ends near ghirardelli square and once they finish the race, of course, runners will get a complimentary beer. another race benefits the american cancer society and proceeds will go to the organization. organizers had to cancel the race in 2020 because of covid. last year they held the race in a smaller and modified version. however, stephanie, this year, as you can see the race, it's back at full capacity. 6,000 runners participating in the half marathon and the 5 k they will continue this race until they go to the finish line at gare

>> kron 4 is your local election headquarters and governor gavin newsome made a pit stop in san francisco ahead of the midterm elections. just yesterday, he joined up with local volunteers at local restaurant manny's to get out the vote. in addition to sending out some text messages to voters knew some amazing announcement stressing the importance of next week's elections saying rights are being rolled back across the country and californians need to make their voices heard. newsom also did not shy away from saying his party has to do more. >> win or lose next week. i hope we take a good, hard look at what we're up against and how we can calibrate to the world around us. we can complain about it would do something that i'm doing as florida, texas, how they're

mixed bag. some scattered clouds throughout the day today. little the way. some sprinkles along the coast are still possible here. however, we're looking for rain developing tonight and into tomorrow. check it out. temperature wise here, lower 50's along the east bay shoreline. 55 for antioch, up to the north bay, mostly 40's in place. 53 meanwhile for san jose, let's march to the timing of all of this. first of all, your sunday looking pretty good. fairly clear. again, a little interference along the coast of little sprinkle, some passing clouds and all of that. meanwhile, the snows are very busy up in tahoe. that's going to be part of the saga as well. tonight, cloud cover develops. and here comes that first juicy line right around the midnight hour crossing right across the bay north to south typical winter pattern. and look at that. they're just letting up at all. was that snow starts to pile up here and then we get a little break for you for your morning commute on sunday or monday, rather monday morning. little break going on. then scattered showers following is a slow sort of pin wheels right off the coast here a little bit and continues to throw these waves are way kind of typical with the a pattern

coming in from the northwest like that. it doesn't have as much moisture which to play with sometimes like those the southern systems. that's good because we get to the mountain snows with all of us. so the wintry tracking how much rain we get this takes us before that line moves through tonight. there you go. maybe about a dime for most locations across most of the bay as we get to monday night. so not a whole lot develop throughout the day on monday and then monday night through tuesday, would another dose here going on? how about that? more than an inch from this point forward for some east bay locations as well, actually out doing up in the north bay, too. so that's kind of nice. now, the winds as we go through tonight this afternoon, kind of breezy, they're still coming in from the southwest. there comes that heavier dose of windsor don't last for a long. that's why there's no wind advisory and then they settled out as we go into tomorrow morning. but again, more wind events look to be possible as we break down these waves moving through monday and through tuesday. here's what looks like up in the northwest

fill up. we have more information on our website. kron 4 dot com. all right. governor gavin newsom is calling on the late legislature to take action on federal student debt relief. basically he's saying that he wants it so that californians getting federal student loan forgiveness would not have to pay state taxes on the amount that is forgiven under president biden's program. this proposal is expected to be part of the governor's budget expected to be released in february or rather in january. a california has nearly 4 million eligible borrowers and about half of them are pell grant borrowers under president biden's proposal, the federal government will forgive up to $10,000 in student loans for those making less than $125,000 per year. and up to $20,000. for those who got a pell grant, of that student loan forgiveness under the biden white house that still facing a number of lawsuits from republican led states as

well. kron. 4 news is your local election headquarters and we are now just 2 days away from the midterm elections. california voters will decide who they think should be the nathan, the next state attorneys general for the next 4 years. capitol correspondent eytan wallace spoke with republican candidate nathan hochman who's challenging incumbent rob bonta. >> hochman feels he is uniquely qualified to become california's next attorney general and office. he says it needs new leadership. just looking at this bus. and you know who and what it's all about. thank you very much. his name is nathan hochman. here's his picture. but the republican candidate for attorney general says even more important than that is his message plastered front and , stop the spiral of lawlessness. it's a message talking took across the state last month. the sea embarks on a multi-city bus tour urging californians to vote him in an incumbent attorney general rob bonta out. we caught up with talking

one on one on his bus. >> why vote for nathan hochman? >> when voters are making the choice of the california attorney general of the need to ask themselves this question. who amongst these 2 candidates is going to keep you and your family more safe and secure for the next 4 years. my goal is to stop this spiral of lawlessness and bring back a spiral of lawfulness. >> a former federal prosecutor and u.s. assistant attorney general hochman says his 30 years in criminal justice prepare for the job among his top priorities deterring crime. something he argues starts with working hand-in-hand with law enforcement. i believe in a balanced. >> portion of agenda. partners with the police rather than treat them just as our enemy. it funds police departments. if you want to better hire, trained and supervised police force rather defund them. that ensures that all crimes have proportionate consequences. he says he'll take on district attorneys. he perceives as soft on crime, including los

angeles. da george guests going on. the california attorney general cannot fire a da hawk and promises he'll go after gas coal and in other ways, remove him from any case in which he refuses to do his job and bring justice. >> to the people of los angeles county, i vowed to do that. hoffman is what he describes as a moderate republican in a heavily democratic state on the ballot. you do have an r next to your name. are you concerned as a republican? >> the challenge is can be great to actually win in this blue state. she will certainly. but now you have 2 candidates. and what i believe is that the voters will look at the person rather than the party. they will look at the person's experience and their agenda and actually look at his record, his experience versus my because i believe when they do that, they'll conclude that nathan hochman is a superior choice for california attorney general reporting here outside the california state capitol eytan wallace. >> kron 4 news. >> all right. coming up in our next hour here on the kron, 4 morning news we hear from california attorney general rob bonta about his message,

tonight and certainly into early next week. don't forget that winter storm warning that's were well in place. here's a look at the temperatures as we speak. 40's going across a good chun of the board up there in the north bay 50's for much of the east bay. 53, meanwhile for san jose, the system we're watching that big blow up there around vancouver and portland, seattle. it's going to drop south and it's going to several days of shots of rain going on. it's a colder system. so it doesn't have as much of that tropical moisture to work with. so the downpours won't be as heavy as long, lasting and so forth, which is good. that doesn't cause flash flooding and it brings us good mountain snows the breakdown today. 58 11 by 2.60, will say variable cloudy on this throughout the day. it will kind of very for highs today only in the lower 60's you can see in the far east bay along the east bay shoreline as well. but even up in the north bay, too. and for a look ahead, the next couple of days, we're going to 57 on monday. tuesday, we get some cold air aloft and 53 at the

surface. but that's going to drive some thunder showers after that point. little bit of a breather for the latter portion of the week and more into next weekend. we'll have a look at your forecast. a fun turns the 4 zone forecast in a bit 70. all right. thanks a lot, >> and on the peninsula, 2 people are dead and 5 others are recovering from injuries suffered from a late night fiery crash in redwood city. it happened in the area of el camino real and finger avenue. kron four's philippe djegal reports a witness says a street race preceded the collision. >> 2 crushed cars end up on the sidewalk. one of them on fire at around 8 o'clock friday night when the redwood city police and fire departments arrived on scene, we actually increased our fire response to a structure fire simon to get more. around us on scene. then witnessed the crash when he was behind the wheel. reale and finger avenue. he says one of the drivers was speeding before colliding with whom he describes as innocent bystanders and they're going

pretty fast and there is was out of the car like. >> know is on other 2 were >> you redwood city police officers helped firefighters extinguish the flames. the 17 year-old driver in the 2 passengers in the burning car survived the police and fire departments say the 2 passengers in the other vehicle died on scene. we had goal of 7 patients on scene. >> have 2 patients that were outside of one of the vehicles on the sidewalk and more patient trapped in the vehicle on fire. 2 patients in another vehicle. and the 2 patients, a bystander headrest for. a vehicle pulled into a nearby apartment that we provided. he police have not announced if drugs or were involved. and i know it's worth drunk driving crash. card. over. do it anyway. >> want know you just don't want to happen. just all of

the surviving victims were treated at stanford hospital. >> believed to all kron. 4 news. >> in the north bay, police arrested 2 suspects in separate dui hit and run crashes in petaluma. the first incident happened wednesday when a car crashed into a parked car and drove away. police tracked down. 49 year-old sarah fairchild. she is accused of driving while under the influence of alcohol. the second incident happened thursday night when a driver hit several cars near the intersection of mountain view avenue and petaluma boulevard south officers tracked down the driver involved and that believed to be 65 year-old. and haley was arrested on suspicion of dui and hit and run. and twitter is preparing to roll out its coveted blue check mark to paying customers among other new product features. but there are concerns about how the new verification system could be abused. kron four's gayle ong explains for us.

>> elon musk has been tweeting about this new subscription service for a while now. i spoke with a media and consumer tech company adviser. he says charging people for the service is the right move. the changes on twitter now visible details of the latest software version began appearing on saturday on apple's app store. the update reads, quote, power to the people. >> your account will get a blue checkmark just like celebrities, companies and politicians. you already follow. the cost is $8 a month. musk has every right to figure out how to monetize these assets. and that's clearly the most visible warning >> neal zuckerman runs media practice for boston consulting group. >> a top firm that consults in the media space advertising is difficult. twitter's always had a struggle with pretty ad model, which and distinctive ad units, not a standard ad unit like >> yeah. television ad new ceo elon musk says twitter subscribers will be able to see fewer ads in post longer videos. but there is concern

about false information and scammers just days ahead of the midterm elections, people could conceivably pay the fee and then change their name to impersonate a politician, celebrity or government agency. but i mean, we all share that those concerns and particularly highlighted with the anxiety. well, on the campaign trail in san francisco, governor gavin newsom weighed in on misinformation on twitter. and it's not just that platform. it's the weaponization of all social media. >> and how minute delay shun of facts spread like wildfire. how do you think it helps verify the uses that are indeed who they say they are, whether it's a checkmark. >> whether off of you verified status, weathers literally stunned number of followers would have whether it's simply a url that's been proven to work. twitter push an ios update saturday outlining the changes but the blue checkmark feature is not yet live. a twitter employee tweeted out the subscription service, new blue. it's still being tested. the new changes at the social

been found a resident of plymouth notified the amador county sheriff's office that they found. they thought where human remains a forensic dental specialist confirmed they belong to gate. >> on the one hand, it's relief relief that they know what happened. then have to search any longer. but i can tell you that when my daughter, when i discovered that my daughter was truly debt. was the saddest day of my life. and i didn't want to wake up the next morning. mark last his daughter, polly, was kidnapped and killed back in 1993. >> since then, his foundation has raised awareness about missing people like game despite police declaring gave homicide victim in june class imagines this confirmation of her death will be the family. you hold out hope until the very, very last moment. >> now you have 2 gave went missing back in january. investigators believe she was killed by her ex-boyfriend. marshall jones.

strand park. police say the victim met with one of the suspects at that park. that's when investigators say the victim was assaulted with a weapon and his car was taken. officers arrested one woman and 2 men in connection with this carjacking. they are all booked in the santa clara county jail. happening now, deputies in san mateo county are looking for 3 men who broke into 2 homes in san carlos last night. the first burglary happened on the 1400 block of edmond drive just after 8 last deputies arrived at the scene and learned that the burglars broke into the home and ransacked the bedrooms. and about an hour later, another burglary reported on drake avenue. the veterans there also ransacked deputies believe the same 3 men are responsible for both incidents. they are now looking for surveillance video to help them track down any suspects. happening now, the 21st annual golden gate, half marathon is officially underway and people from all

across the bay area have laced up their shoes and are currently in the heat of this race. kron four's camila barco is live for us in san francisco and camila. it looks some people are starting to slow down >> yeah, well, it's definitely taking a look at is here is a people who have already crossed the finish line at this race. these are people have a majority of these people have finished the 5 k race. there's also the half marathon and we actually just both to the first person who finished the 13 miles per this race will hear from him in the next hour. but take a look at some of this video from about an hour ago when the race for started, like i said, this is a half marathon and also a 5 k race. this is the 21st year. organizers are hosting this run the race. it started at van ness avenue near aquatic park and the course took runners all throughout the city. they ran through the marina. the presidio and

through the golden gate bridge twice. now, that's the 13 mile race and it ended here at gary delhi square, the 5 k race. well, it was a bit shorter, only 3 miles, but also finished at that gary kelly square one, all of these runners finished the race. they got their medals are getting some snacks and they also got some now organizers had to cancel the race in 2020 because of covid. last year they held the race in a smaller and modified version. but stephanie, this year they are back at full capacity. 6,000 people participated in this year's race. and stephanie, in a live look out here at the finish line, this is everyone who has finished either the majority people are the ones that finished to the 5 k race and we are seeing the first group of runners who finished the half marathon. now we'll just have to wait and who who else is going to cross the finish line. but a good day for this race. a little chilly but not too

plymouth notified the amador county sheriff's office that they found. they thought where human remains a forensic dental specialist confirmed they belong to gate. >> on the one hand, it's relief relief that they know what happened in have to search any longer. but i can tell you that when my daughter, when i discovered that my daughter was truly debt. was the saddest day in my life and i didn't want to wake up the next morning. mark last his daughter, polly, was kidnapped and killed back in 1993. >> since then, his foundation has raised awareness about missing people like despite police declaring gave homicide victim in june class imagines this confirmation of her death will be the family. you hold out hope until the very, very last moment. >> now you have to went missing back in january. investigators believe she was killed by her ex-boyfriend. marshall jones. >> he was killed by police over the summer in washington.

park. police say the victim met with one of the suspects at that park. and that's what investigators say the victim was assaulted with a weapon and his car taken. officers arrested one woman and 2 men in connection with the carjacking. they're all booked in the santa clara county jail. and happening right now, deputies in san mateo county are looking for 3 men who broke into 2 homes in san carlos last night. the first burglary happening on the 1400 block of edmond drive just after 8 last night, deputies arrived at the scene and learned that the burglars broke into the home and ransacked the bedrooms. about an hour later, another burglary reported on drake avenue. the bedrooms also ransacked in that home. deuuties believe the same 3 men are responsible for both burglaries. they're now looking for surveillance video to help them track down any suspects. happening right now, the 21st annual golden gate, half marathon is officially underway and people all across the bay area have laced up their shoes and are currently

avenue near aquatic park through the marina. the presidio and twice through the golden gate bridge. both races finished here at ghirardelli square where they were rewarded with some metals, some snacks complimentary beer. now, like stephanie said, we did speak to a few runners to cross the finish line. these are the runners in the men and the womans division who cross the finish line. first, here's what they had to say. >> no, it's great. i mean, rain held went to any of the bridge. you you're running your gun hot, so having it be cool until it was really hills. we're definitely pretty hard. >> there's some pretty gnarly head winds but i have to say when you get across the bridge and you take that right turn and you could just see the whole view the city. i was like what a cool place to run a half-marathon. >> those runners that i also a few other runners that i spoke to this morning and they say one of the hardest parts of this race was the hills here

yeah, there's still time to vote. and we, you know, really want voters to get out there and vote and there's multiple ways that they can do so. >> for instance, you know, they did receive a vote by mail ballot in the mail. and so they can actually still vote that ballot and have a postmark on or before election day. it's important that they have postmarked by election day. so it even if they're going to turn it in on election day, they might want to take a look at the post office box that they're planning to put it into like a neighborhood. a post office box and be sure that the pickup time he's not already occurred the ballots to be picked up from that. the postal a employee. and if it's still too late, then go to the actual post office and take it to the counter and ask for that. the employee to put what we call a circle date stamp on it so that they can actually see that it shows election day or drop it off at any of the county's drop boxes that are throughout the throughout the

county by 08:00pm it they will all be locked by 08:00pm more lot of voters now they left the tournament at the polling place. our vote center on election day. so they feel like they're still doing that civic duty by dropping off the ballot in person. >> so make sure if you want to drop your ballot off to do so by 08:00pm at your local polling center. yes, 08:00pm is the deadline. and and of course, voters have the option of voting in person. if they decide to do that as well. >> and so with that, go to your neighborhood vote centers or polling place depending on the county go to you know, your county's website to get the specific information as to the assigned polling place or the vote center that you can go to to bow to a course from 07:00am to 08:00pm. all right. and something that you're encouraging everybody to have is to have a voting plan in mind. >> walk us through what that means yet. what that means is, you know, don't wake up tuesday morning just deciding i want to vote all the sudden, you know, that's why we're out here right now trying to encourage voters to.

proposition. 29. >> it's similar to a proposition voters rejected just 2 years ago. kron four's catherine heenan explains. this. next measure might sound familiar for a 3rd time. h% voters are being asked to weigh in on regulations for dialysis providers. >> the latest effort is proposition 29. it requires special onsite supervision during treatment that outpatient dialysis clinics, that supervision could come from a physician nurse practitioner or physician assistant with 6 months of experience. the proposition is also aiming to increase the transparency of the clinics by requiring reports to california's department of public health clinics would have to provide updates on treatment-related infections clinic ownership and whether there are future plans to reduce or and services and those not complying would face fines up to $100,000. prop 29 would also prohibit clinics from refusing care based on

who pays for the treatment, whether it's the patient health insurers, medi-cal or medicare. overall, the measure is similar to one that was rejected by more than 60% of the voters in 2020. so what's different this time around proposition 29 expands the options for the type of onsite supervision during treatments. also new there is a requirement to report ownership interests. so what happens if prop 29 passes costs for dialysis clinics will go up by several $100,000 a year. that's because they be required to pay for a physician or nurse practitioner or physician assistant to be on site during all treatments. california's legislative analyst office has outlined 3 ways which clinic owners could respond to higher costs. the clinics could negotiate increased rates with patients or those paying for treatments. they could

continue current operations. but with lower profits or it could lead to some clinics being closed. the legislative analyst's office does acknowledge some clinics might not be willing or able to handle those options. prop 29 could also increase the costs for some state and local governments. the clinic owners and operators negotiating higher prices with patients could end up forcing the state to pay more through medical and some patients might have to look for treatment at more expensive clinics if their original clinics have to shut down. prop 29 is supported by the service employees international union and united healthcare workers west. it is opposed by dozens of organizations, including the california dialysis council, the california medical association and the 2 companies which own or operate nearly 75% of the state's

>> welcome back. taking a live look now outside at walnut creek this morning. traffic moving along pretty smoothly. there. hopefully everybody hitting the road with that. just enjoying the extra energy they're getting from that extra hour of let's check in with dave spahr now on all the latest. our forecast todaf. hey, good morning, stephanie. good morning, everybody. we're taking a break from the rain. to give you kind of a decent sunday going on here. some high cloudiness off to the background. but tonight. >> it comes back again. it's time perfectly for the dead night. it will clear out in time for your morning commute on monday and then do the whole thing again monday night. it looks like another dose. >> temperatures getting quite chilly with all of this to reflected in our tahoe forecast. snow, more snow all the way to the middle of the week. this a good kind of moisture to cause it to the park it up. there doesn't all get washed out as a warmer systems tend to do so. we have a winter storm warning has been posted from today through wednesday. they're looking for a couple of feet going on there. but in some of the higher elevations could get close to 4, maybe higher,

coupled with this some heavy winds with this one really is a storm package for those folks up there. when you get to some of the higher elevations, those winds can get near hurricane strength. as i mentioned earlier, some high cloudiness kind of streaming across the region. clear not a little bit in the next couple of hours, but the real juicy stuff is farther from home. here's how it looks like in the big picture. look at how unsettled it is for the early part of the weekend when this thing funny picks up by midweek, chris over gives us little bit of a break. but there's more to come at the end of next week and weekend. there we go, unfortunately on the weekend, but we need this. so here we go. we got a couple hits here coming and then maybe more upstream. 4 zone forecast for you this sunday with kind of sun and clouds, mixture numbers are going to move too much, but they're warmer today than they will be early next week. 60 san francisco, the coast fighting off more cloudiness in the upper 50 61 for burning again to about 64 for foster city, san carlo. 62 for palo alto and in the south bay, only in the lower 60's. and we're seeing the same type of inland lack of movement for

morning. thank you so much for the invite to be here. absolutely. this is such an it's fascinating book. i have a copy right here. i'm from san jose myself. so it was exciting for me to go through. so tell yes. so tell us a bit about this book and what inspired you to write it. >> as of this book that santa was a scavenger is collection of scavenger hunt said people can do on their own or out across the south bay. there are 20 different from gilroy up the power out, though, cars all over a santa clara county. yeah, i want encourage people to get out and explore our get out into neighborhoods they don't miss it all the i have a fun thing to do with the family and friends, especially as we go into holiday season. >> that's true. that is a perfect sort of family friendly thing to do is because people are going to be getting together for the holidays. you what were some of the favorite places that

you discovered on your list? >> yeah. these lots of the lesser-known museums and historic sites and architectural gems and restaurants and small businesses. wanted to feature of different organizations i think are interesting and i want people going to some of my favorite places that i were many parks and open that we have in our one of those parts of living here in the bay is that having access so much wonderful, open space. and that was something that i took advantage during the pandemic. and i know a lot of other people think this book includes a lot of >> those in places that you can get out and see and explore outdoor cinema from neighborhood parks to a regional park sign with county park is known to, you know, play some not. only space preserve with a really unique histories and the views places. we're not going to

record it. >> and yet you're a longtime resident of the south bay at, but did you discover anything new about the bay area yourself while you are putting this book together? >> yeah, it was so much time in my favorite thing about pam this project. and something that i hope people get out of it is that there is still so much to explore high here in the south bank. you know, i learned so much communities like gilroy and cupertino and how in a city that on repeat us find a place of the not visiting every single day. i live near downtown weren't the of the neighborhoods of san jose. but the south bay's huge and diverse. and that was something that i took away from it. and i hope other people and you do, it's really easy to get stock in our bubble of doing the same in the communities that we know. and i hope that this, but how do encourage people to get out and explore other neighborhoods and in our community? >> you know, one thing that really kind of stood out to me when i was reading this is that a lot of all clues

actually are written in this one, for example, this bashful face, an attempt of green looks like an artichoke or cabbage. it seems it's it's really cute. but you know what? what did you decide to choose to write everything in right? >> i thought that that would add to the challenge and the fun of a discovering a these it was a challenge for me, actually. and that is the publishers yeah, i'm not a covid. i had some difficulty writing run at first. after a it became a it became a lot easier. he's reading everything. i was speaking in on her while my husband. my mind a permit. well, it certainly has even more flavor to the book itself. >> last couple things here for you. it was the answers. do you have the answers to the to the places anywhere? because i was trying to find that. >> yeah, actually, they're not
