there's a chance of rain for the far north bay this afternoon. our live cameras show it's cloudier this morning at the coast and around the bay thanks to that storm system passing to our north. temperatures are mild as well, with widespread 50s at the moment. your "ready 4 school" forecast calls for mild weather. it should warm up to the mid 60s along the bay shoreline this afternoon with low 70s inland - noticeably cooler than yesterday. the weather will stay mild for the rest of the week and weekend. i'll have your 3-day coming up in my next update. ( mark ) breaking news... three air-men are dead this morning following a plane crash that happened while they were training. this was at the cannon air force base in new mexico... it happened just before 7:00 last night. their plane caught fire. the airmen were part of

special operations. officials this morning don't know what led to the crash. ( mark ) breaking news this morning... police have called off their search for a man in hayward after an officer-involved shooting. and we have just learned that a woman was killed in that shooting.( darya ) will tran is live in hayward this morning with the latest. will. ( will ) police say the man is considered armed and dangerous... and he remains on the loose this morning. this all started yesterday evening when fremont police officers found a car in hayward that was connected to several armed robberies throughout the bay area. the detectives attempted to stop the van at the city view

apartment complex near the cal state east bay campus. the driver of the van then suddenly drove into the police cars, injuring two fremont police detectives. the officers opened fire, and hit and killed the driver. two passengers were arrested at the scene, but one man ran away. police say he is still on the loose this morning. the two fremont police officers who were injured were treated and released from the hospital.

to russia. yahoo was hacked twice in recent years. in one incident one billion users had information stolen back in august of 2013. yahoo didn't inform people who may have been affected until last year. ( mark ) part of president trump's tax returns have been leaked. the tax returns were sent to a journalist who posted them online and shared them with m-s-n-b-c.. they show that the president paid 38 million dollars in federal

taxes back in 2005 and reported an income of 150 million. the copy that was sent to the journalist was stamped "client copy" and he believes it may have been leaked by the president himself. ( mark ) the white house released a statement saying quote: "mr. trump was one of the most successful businessmen in the world with a responsibility to his company, his family and his employees to pay no more tax than legally required." the president has faced calls to release all of his tax returns since the presidential campaign. ( mark ) the f-b-i is expected to announce today if it is investigating president trump's claims that he was wiretapped by president obama. ( darya ) the fbi is also expected to say whether it is investigating ties between

russia and the trump campaign. anny hong is at the breaking news desk with the details. anny. (anny) the two big announcements could come at any moment. the fbi director told congress earlier this week that he needed more time before he would say if they are investigating any connection to russia during the campaign. james comey also said he would let congress know if the agency was looking into claims by president trump that former president obama wiretapped trump tower during the presidential campaign. you'll remember president trump made the allegations without any proof in a series of tweets earlier this month. president obama released a statement that his administration did not order any wire tapping of then candidate trump. and the white house seems to be softening some of the claims made by the president. white house press secretary sean spicer says president trump wasn't being literal when he tweeted the accusation about wiretapping. spicer also said that president trump

was referring to the obama administration broadly -- and not accusing president obama of personal involvement. sean spicer, white house press secretary: "i think he's extremely confident. i think there's significant reporting about surveillance techniques that have existed throughout the 2016 election, i'll leave it to them to issue the report but i think feels very confident that what will ultimately come of this will vindicate him."(anny) the white house pointed to media reports that suggest broadly that surveillance took place during the election... but did not provide any direct evidence the the president was ever under surveillance. figure dressed as president trump. in a recent interview, snoop dogg told billboard magazine he did this scene because musicians these days are not dealing with what he calls "real issues" that are happening in our country. the rapper said he wanted to use his platform to address how he felt about the president. (mark) here is what the president tweeted about snoop dogg this morning: "can you imagine what the out-cry would be if snoop dogg, failing career and all, had aimed and fired a gun at president obama? jail time!" snoop dogg has not responded to the president's tweet this morning. the rapper told billboard magazine that he does not care what anyone thinks of the video. ( darya ) a murderer is on the loose this morning after a fight turns deadly in san leandro. we first told you about this story yesterday on the kron 4 morning news. now police say surveillance footage has helped them identify a suspect. it started on monday afternoon when officers responded to a 9-1-1 call about a fight. when they arrived to the home on selborne drive...they found a trail of blood. when they followed it...it lead to

the front door of a home. they went inside and found the victim. investigators spent the day yesterday combing through home surveillance cameras and found a man they believe is involved in the murder. police have not released his name but say they have had dealings with the man in the past. they are now working to get his license plate ( mark ) murder charges are filed against one of the three people arrested after a deadly shooting on interstate-80 in richmond last week. 24-year- old elliott johnson made his first court appearance yesterday. his arraignment was pushed back until next thursday. two 17-year olds are also in custody accused in the shooting. that killed 24 year old demarcus doss and wounded his female passenger. there have been close to 80 shootings on bay area freeways since 2015 ( mark ) the suspect at the center of a video that some say shows vallejo police using excessive force has his first day in court. dejuan hall is charged with four counts of resisting an officer and one count of

battery on an officer. during his brief appearance at the solano county courthouse yesterday, hall pleaded not guilty to all charges. his bail remains at 7-thousand dollars this morning. this is hall's second run-in with officers in less than a month. the d-a says on february 20th... he was arrested for resisting a police officer and trespassing. vallejo police are now investigating whether the officer seen beating hall with a flashlight used excessive force during his arrest on friday. ( darya ) the remains of a woman from penngrove who went missing over two years ago have been discovered. 63-year-old annie bailly vanished in december of 20-14. her body was found last month near point reyes, and her death is considered a homicide. bailly and her estranged husband, kerry, had been married for 18 years and were going through a divorce, but lived in the same home. the day kerry reported her

missing, her car, keys and purse were still at home. kerry says he had nothing to do with her death. he believes she committed suicide, saying that she has tried in the past. ( darya ) police have not yet released a cause of death, but say suicide and and accident have been ruled out and that she was definitely murdered. (darya) a prosecutor is trying to stop a violent sex offender from being released in the east bay. 55-year-old shannon starr is convicted of several sex assaults dating back to 19-91. he is currently being

held at the santa rita jail in dublin. starr's attorney says he should be released because he no longer poses a danger to the community. but prosecutors say he should be sent to a state mental facility instead of being released. starr's most recent offense was in 2008 when police say he attacked his wife after serving a long prison term. jurors will continue their deliberations today. ( darya ) in the south bay... the murder trial of suspected killer, antolin garcia torres continues today. in addition to being charged with murdering morgan hill teen sierra lamar, he is also accused of attempting to kidnap three women. one of those women took the stand yesterday. in her testimony, she said a man jumped in the back seat of her car, used a stun gun to shock her and punched her. the attack happened at a safeway in morgan hil in 2009. she never saw the attacker's face, and did not identify garcia torres in a photo line up.

but police did find garia- torres' thumbprint on the stun gun. tomorrow marks the five-year anniversary of sierra lamar's disappearance. (mark) crews continue to repair the damage in the eroded spillway of the oroville dam... and this morning people who were affected by the evacuations are speaking out about the dam emergency. last month more than 180-thousand people were forced from their homes after the eroded spillway was threatening to fail and cause massive flooding,. and although it did not fail.. neighbors say there were big holes in the evacuation plan. last night at a community meeting, they voiced their concerns... one woman says she was stuck inside her home because the evacuation centers did not have equipment for her disability. (mark) some evacuees say some some evacuees say it's time to put more pressure on the department of water resources, local leaders, and state representatives.

they say they want to know about potential problems with infrastructure and the work that is being done to fix it. (darya) police arrest a woman they say abandoned her two-year-old daughter at a store in riverside. we first told you about this story yesterday on the kron four news at six. the 31-year-old was arrested yesterday afternoon at a bank after a teller recognized her from news reports. she was caught on surveillance video leaving her daughter at a "food for less" over the weekend. police say she was recently kicked out of her home because she had problems with drugs a alcohol abuse, as well as mental issues. she could face multiple charges including child endangerment and child abandonment. (mark) happening today... president trump's revised travel ban faces three legal challenges in federal court. lawsuits by refugee aid groups in maryland, along with

challenges from the state of hawaii and four families in seattle will all be heard. the president's new order would prevent people from six majority-muslim countries from entering the u-s for 90 days...and all refugees for 120 days. the revised travel ban is set to take effect tomorrow . another court matter...is whether the legal decision that halted the original ban extends to the new one. (mark) the republican health care plan means less money for states and gives them a tough choice. they can either find cash to make up the difference or let coverage lapse for millions of lower-income americans. most states have not released estimates of the consequences for them based on the plan proposed by republicans. a congressional budget office analysis says it would lead to 24 million americans being without health insurance over the next decade. some republican governors are calling for a new approach from congress. in response, house republicans say they are working on a companion to their bill that would ease the cross-state sale of health insurance. americans one-billion dollars in unclaimed tax refunds. they recently announced that they are holding the refunds that could be waiting for a million taxpayers who didn't file a return in 20-13. this means you could be missing out on free money. the i-r-s says many people aren't required to file taxes, because their income is less than 10-thousand dollars per year... but that doesn't mean they wouldn't get money back. taxpayers have just three years to claim their refunds. so if you don't file your 20-13 refund by april 15th, that money will go to the u-s treasury. (mark) the government's report on flight arrival times is in and the winner is hawaiian airlines. (darya) they passed the on-time test 85.7 percent of the time. delta air lines came in second and american airlines came in third. (mark) the federal government counts a flight on time if it arrives no more than 14 minutes behind the scheduled time. the three airlines who brought up the bottom of the list were virgin america, frontier airlines, and sky west. after she says her face was burned when her head phones exploded.(mark) these are pictures of her face left blackened and her hand blistered after her battery- powered headphones caught fire on a plane.(darya) the woman was heading form australia to china. she says she was sleeping and listening to music about two hours into the flight when it happened. she says she threw her headphones on the floor and saw sparks and small flames shooting from them. (mark) the flight attendants poured a bucket of water on them. investigators believe the batteries sparked the fire. they would not say what brand the headphones were. ( anny ) the death toll is now at seven people following

that major winter strom that hit the east coast. millions of people are still being impacted this morning. this was the scene in boston... the heavy snow making for dangerous conditions on the roads. two-thousand national guard troops have been activated across the east coast to help with relief efforts -- as emergency crews warn it could be a while before the weather gets better. ( anny ) and this was the scene in atlantic city, new jersey yesterday. the streets looking more like rivers and streams. in some areas the water was more than a foot deep. several drivers had to be rescued after their cars got stuck in the flooding. one person living in the area said this is one of the worst storms he has seen in the 55 years he has lived in atlantic city. ( anny ) and in baltimore streets were covered in snow and fallen trees. most places in maryland saw between 8 and 12 inches of snow. but the storm did knock over

some trees which damaged cars that were parked along the streets. city officials say crews worked through the night to prepare the roads for this morning. (darya) in the east bay... nearly a half dozen armed robberies at are reported in fremont in just the last week. police say they are using all resources this morning... making sure that all detectives available are involved in the investigations. they are also in contact with neighboring agencies. the most recent robbery happened late friday night near alder court where a man's phone, credit and debit cards were taken by three robbers. the victim was not injured. (mark) after a mercury spill in an antioch neighborhood, hazmat crews say

they are now using sensors to make sure it is all cleaned up and people living there are safe. several areas along manzanita way have been roped off with yellow tape since monday. these are the spots the e-p-a says have been contaminated with mercury. hazmat crews could be seen using vacuums to clean up the spill. at this point they do not know how much mercury was spilled or how it got (mark) officials say this hazmat spill caused no injuries and prompted no evacuations... but it worried people who live in the area. the e-p-a will now be handing out flyers to people who live there to inform them what kind of items contain the metal and how to properly dispose of them for free. lion is spotted in solano county... and this morning the marine mammal center is still trying to figure out how it got there. this is video from a kron four viewer... the animal was seen swimming near an irrigation canal yesterday morning in vacaville. the marine mammal center in sausalito were called in to investigate, but the sea lion climbed into a drainage pipe just before they arrived. the mamal center team called it a day after several hours of trying to get the sea lion out. officials say they believe he is still in there. ( darya ) officials say the sea lion may have been swimming up the sacramento river and made a wrong turn into a waterway. the pipe that animal is stuck in is about 12 miles long.

áááábreakáááá (robin) hot spot in concord wb 4 at port chicago, an accident still blocking the left lane. major delays out of antioch ( mark ) veteran firefighters say they've neevr seen anything like it. a man, trapped in a restaurant wall in napa. we first broke this story yesterday on the kron four morning news. you can see the tight little area where he was found... without his clothes on. this is at the togo's in napa. firefighters had to remove part of a wall to get him out of a narrow ventalation shaft. he was stuck in there overnight, after entering an access door on the roof. just after 8:00 yesterday morning, some people finally heard shouting and cries for help. investigators believe that 48-year-old robert turbidy lowered himself into an 18-inch crawl space using a make-shift rope. at some point the rope broke....and he was wedged in there for about 8 hours. he was treated for minor

(mark) a scary sight for those at a gas station in seattle.. an s-u-v crashes into a gas pump and explodes. this all happened monday night and was caught on camera. police say the s-u-v crashed into a car. that car went off the road and collided with a tree. the car split into two. the s-u-v kept driving two blocks where a witness says it caught on fire. police say the s-u-v is a registered ride-sharing vehicle. it had an uber sticker on the back. the woman inside the s-u-v has minor injuries. ( darya ) a murderer is on the loose this morning after a fight turns deadly in san leandro. we first told you about this story yesterday on the kron 4 morning news. now police say surveillance footage has helped them identify a suspect. it started on monday afternoon when officers responded to a 9-1-1 call about a fight.

when they arrived to the home on selborne drive...they found a trail of blood. when they followed it...it lead to the front door of a home. they went inside and found the victim. investigators spent the day yesterday combing through home surveillance cameras and found a man they believe is involved in the murder. police have not released his name but say they have had dealings with the man in the past. they are now working to get his license plate number. ( mark ) happening now.... the husband of a woman whose remains were found two years after she vanished says he did not kill her.( darya ) 63-year-old annie bailly from penngrove vanished in december of 2014. last month her remains were found near point reyes. kron four's alecia reid talked to her husband.. the victim's estranged husband is a potential suspect.he says he's been treated as a suspect from the moment his wife went missing.but he's very adamant he had nothing to do with it. pkgsot - i did not do this. i did not kill her. no!by chance, annie bailly's skeletal remains were discovered over a cliff at the point reyes national seashore

east coast are still being affected by a major snow storm that has turned deadly. the death toll is now at seven people following that major winter strom that hit the east coast. millions of people are still being impacted this morning. this was the scene in boston... the heavy snow making for dangerous conditions on the roads. two-thousand national guard troops have been activated across the east coast to help with relief efforts -- as emergency crews warn it could be a while before the weather gets better. and this was the scene in atlantic city, new jersey yesterday. the streets looking more like rivers and streams. in some areas the water was more than a foot deep. several drivers had to be rescued after their cars got stuck in the flooding. one person living in the area said this is one of the worst storms he has seen in the 55 years he has lived in atlantic city. and in baltimore streets were covered in snow and fallen trees. most places in maryland saw between 8 and 12 inches of snow. but the storm did knock over some trees which damaged cars that were parked along the streets. city officials say crews worked through the night to

( darya ) after a mercury spill in an antioch neighborhood, hazmat crews say they are now using sensors to make sure it is all cleaned up and people living there are safe. several areas along manzanita way have been roped off with yellow tape since monday. these are the spots the e-p-a says have been contaminated with mercury. hazmat crews could be seen using vacuums to clean up the spill. at this point they do not know how much mercury was spilled or how it got

( mark ) officials say the sea lion may have been swimming up the sacramento river and made a wrong turn into a waterway.

( darya ) after a mercury spill in an antioch neighborhood, hazmat crews say they are now using sensors to make sure it is all cleaned up and people living there are safe. several areas along manzanita way have been roped off with yellow tape since monday. these are the spots the e-p-a says have been contaminated with mercury. hazmat crews could be seen using vacuums to clean up the spill. at this point they do not know how much mercury was spilled or how it got there.
