. a frantic search in lake county for a severely handicapped little girl. this is her picture, makale a lynch disappeared yesterday afternoon from her family's vacation home in clear lake. helicopters, dozens of people on the ground all searching for mckayla into the night. >> she was last seen at her family vacation home. she has the mental capacity of a one-year-old and cannot swim. >> the clear lake home is surrounded by water. >> we have no clue of her

high school to tell his classmates he was moving to a different school. the family has canceled tomorrow's scheduled news conference. clean up, sheriff detectives are searching for a man who kidnapped a 7-year-old girl in broad daylight. this is a sketch of the suspect. >> on saturday afternoon, the victim was walking with her mother in south sacramento when the suspect drove alongside them grabbing the girl, put her in the trunk of his car and then drove away. >> the victim was able to open the trunk and escape. >> she is expected to be okay. the hunt for the suspect continues. >> and clean up is underway in san jose tonight as that city tackles some of the worst eye sores in the bay. >> right now crews are painting over the grifiti over highway 10

>> the feds will not be the ones to determine when the bridge is ready to open. >> we are asking for the federal highway administration to bring their expertise to bear, that once we make a judgment, we want to see if they concur. >> it was last week when announced they asked the federal highway administration to retrofit cracked bolts discovered on the new span. >> now the federal highway administration has agreed to see if the plans selected is the best and the safest. >> the purpose of an independent check is not to necessarily get an answer that says you're right, it's another way of looking at the issue and we're looking to do that. >> the federal highway administration will also review the committee a findings and recommendations, about how many other bolts should be replaced, and whether that should happen before the new span opens. >> ultimately though, the decision as to when to open the bridge is not with with the
