showers along the peninsula there? that's kind of right in line with what we were looking at on the virtual map for where there's rainfall that you can actually measure. and as we watch the futurecast, there's a few more of those that will show up throughout the morning just kind of sitting off the coast. and then more impressive ones show up in the afternoon going down the central valley. you can have an isolated thunderstorm out there today. but meanwhile, for us, it's blue sky. blue sky while all the while, there's a chance you could get a light shower out of this. i wouldn't be -- a big defining factor on the day though. i think the wind will be bigger issue and look what happens by the afternoon. now 40-mile an hour wind gusts coming down the coast. and if we look at that a little bit closer and pick out your number, watch the screen light up. and now you can see for your part of the bay, if you are inland it's like a 20-mile an hour breeze today. not all that bad. but if you are anywhere near the water now you have got that 40-mile an hour wind. this is going to be stronger wind than what you had yesterday. it was breezy and kind of classic on shore winds yesterday if you were near the
5:18 am
water or near a gap in the hills. you felt the wind. but today, it's going to be stronger than that. and these will be the 40-mile an hour winds that really rush down the coast and get your attention. there's no wind advisory so that's good news. it's not strong enough for that. but it's still a windy day. there's the weekend. so even though we're going to have plenty of sunshine today, you are going to get a lot more of that saturday and sunday. we'll start a warming trend and we will be near 80 degrees by the time we get to wednesday and thursday. we might not get to 80 for everybody inland. but we'll be right in that neighborhood. all right. gianna, how's the drive looking? it's doing okay in some spots, darren. and unfortunately i am just getting word of a trouble spot on the 101 connector over towards 92. there's some sort of a crash with a spill in the roadway and that they've got that connector blocked. i'll have more on that coming up throughout the morning. but for now, we're going to get a live look at bay bridge toll plaza and you can see moving along very well. safe to say friday light commute as you head over into san francisco. here's a bit of the overview right now. even with that trouble spot along 101 and 92, doesn't look like we're seeing a lot of
