6:45 am
good morning, ian. a lot of chaos at twitter lately. what does this mean for the company? what is next? >> reporter: you know, it is really hard to tell. the indications we are hearing and the reports we are seeing suggest that a large number of people decided to resign, instead of signing on to this new card core version of twitter. which, among other things, musk has suggested would include minimum 40-hour work weeks. essentially very similar to what he has done at tesla. so i think the key question that a lot of us are going to have is, okay, if this many people have left, right? if we have lost more than half before and now more than that, when does the site start to show its problems? right? because software is written by human beings, and things go bad. if there aren't enough

6:47 am
but a part of it is not. in terms of whether people are willing to come back, i think that is an incredibly hard thing. elon musk is known throughout silicon valley as someone who pushes workers very hard. the reality is i don't know very many who have stayed in his orbit very long, in part because of that hard charging atmosphere. people have families, they have kids. they want to sleep. so i think it will be very tough to recruit. and before you go, i want to talk about elizabeth holmes. what are you thinking is going to happen with this? >> i mean, this is going to be seen as one of the most important messages to silicon valley from outside of the valley, right? a lot of this is about how the legal system is saying look the fake it until you make it atmosphere has a limit and here is where you

need to draw the line or you are going to end up in jail. and i think if she doesn't end up in jail a lot of people are going to say what is the message here, right? is fraud okay? the worst you are going to get is a hand slap? i think that is going to be what a lot of people are watching for. >> i think this is going to set a certain press did he want for us, moving forward as well. we'll definitely keep our eye on that. we appreciate you. have a great day. >> thanks for having me. let's get a check on rainshower weather now with first alert meteorologist jessica. a lot of things to do across the bay area. >> a jacket, no jacket, extra jackets. >> it depends. we are about to talk about your travel forecast. it has been mild for us this week. definitely layer weather. bring the jacket with you to work, to. but once we head into the afternoon hours, you can usually shed it. the sun starts shining. partly cloudy conditions
