they don't need to. we have a look at the air quality for tomorrow, it was bad everywhere today, there may be modest improvements in the north bay and santa clara valley. i plan onywhere the bay area having at least a few hours at a minimum of the soupy air, the smoky air that we had all afternoon long. it will get better by tomorrow but likely not before. 60 degrees in san francisco, 62 in concord, 62 in san jose, hazy everywhere throughout the bay area, santa rosa 57, 50s overnight, clouds and fog will fill in just about everywhere. not as much tomorrow night, a little bit of a change for saturday, redwood city 59 degrees. ocean breeze that normally clearing oosting breeze -- ocean breeze, some of that smoke emanating from canadian wildfires, tomorrow mine foggy and low clouds, then low clouds into hazy sunshine. kind of a yucky day if you are looking up tomorrow. air quality will improve.

for the weekend. what we don't see in this picture is a large ridge of high pressure anywhere close to san francisco or the bay area. three separate but distinct areas of lower pressure to our east and north, west and southwest, all three of these will allow the marine layer to be pretty thick which means the cooler influence of the ocean has a better opportunity of making it inland, you have felt it in livermore and antioch and santa rosa. i see no reason why that's going to stop anytime soon. looking at futurecast now, low clouds pushing all the way into the central valley, tri-valley and down to morgan hill and gilroy, cloudy start with hazy sunshine in the afternoon. notice a change on saturday, not as much low cloud cover, saturday likely the sunniest and also warmest day of the next several. low 80s for a few minutes in concord and livermore, 70s for san jose, napa and vallejo, unseasonably chilly, oakland and san francisco, 59 for pacifica. air quality not that great, hazy sunshine likely tomorrow.
