stormy daniels' attorney michael avenatti. two lawyers who were expected to represent trump won't be taking positions after all. the president decided against hiring joseph digenova and his wife because of personal conflicts of interest. they had been negotiating with special counsel robert mueller about a potential interview with the president. meanwhile the president is ready to fire veterans affairs secretary david shull ckishulki. this weekend's demonstrations are just the beginning. the student driven movement sparked rallies from coast to coast with a unified message, a demand for tougher gun laws. wendy gillette reports. >> reporter: for survivors of the school shooting in parkland, florida, saturday's big turnout was just a step toward an even

many government failures we want to trust the government even more. >> reporter: they stainched a walkout on the 20th, the 19th anniversary of the columbine massacre. this morning facebook is quoing new questions about users data. they collected naples and text messages from android users. they say the information is uploaded to secure server and only comes from users who allow it. they do not collect the content of calls or messages. meanwhile facebook's ceo mark zuckerberg took out several full page ad apologizing for allowing cambridge analytica to get data on users. they say it does not deserve to hold personal information if it cannot protect it. he called the incident a breach of trust. funeral services will be held thursday for stephon clark, the unarmed blackman shot by

sacramento police. last night sacramento kings and boston celtics wore t-shirts with clark's name on the back and on the front "accountability, we are one." dozens gathered to remember clark last night. officers responding to a collar break-in con fronted clark in his grandmother's backyard on march 18th. they thought he had a gun. they fire 20d times. clark was holding a phone. there was a deadly shopping mall fire in siberia and at least 56 people were kill. the fire reportedly started on the top floor of the four-story building yesterday. many of the victims are children. the cause of the fire is unknown. a criminal investigation has begun. mass protests erupted in the catalonia region of spain after catalonia's fugitive/former president was arrested in germany yesterday. he had been running from spanish

"stars & stripes" says trump banned most transgenders from serving in the military. federal courts ruled against the ban. the defense department began allowing transgender people to enlist starting this year.% britain's "telegraph" report as french police officer who was killed in friday's terror attack at a supermarket was honored. he was killed after taking the place of a woman who was being held hostage by an extremist. the service also paid tribute to the three others killed in that attack. and "time" looks at the original snow that hit parts of

york stock exchange with that and more. good morning, diane. >> good morning. anne-marie. a top official warned a trade war between china and the u.s. would hurt everything. stocks got clobbered. for the week t dow lost over 5.25%. the s&p 500 lost nearly 6%. the nasdaq fell nearly 6% tuesday through friday alone. one of the largest firearms maker is filing for bankruptcy. remington is america's oldest gun maker. the company and other gun makers have suffered from slumping gun sales in the pacht year amid stricter pressure on gun laws. >> meantime uber is selling itself southeast asia business to grab. grab is a singapore-based operation that offers ridesharing and logistics

services throughout southeast asia. it's the latest interntional market for uber. in 2016 it sold its business in china. the first nonstop flight between australia and britain is being called a game-changer by the chief executive of qantas airlines. the dreamliner touched down in london's heathrow airport yesterday after a 17-hour flight from perth. it cut three hours off its journey. the more than 9,000-mile trip is the second longest after the qatar service between doha and new zealand. and apple has a new emoji. it's aimed to focus people in four main categories, blindness, deafness, physical and motor skills and hidden disabilities. some include hearing aids, signs and wheel chairs and canes. >> i like it.

the student organizers behind saturday's nationwide demonstrations demanding action on gun control said they will work to get voters registered to send a message in the upcoming elections. hundreds of thousands attended the demonstrations in washington spurred by last month's shooting in florida. and facebook is facing questions about collecting phone numbers and text messages from android devices. meanwhile facebook took out ads apologizing for the data breach involving a political consulting firm connected to the trump campaign. officials in mexico have ruled that an iowa family choked to death on poisonous gas inside their vacation home, but there are still unanswered questions.. >> reporter: less than 48 hours after their bodies were found in a rented condo in mexico they con girl 41-year-old kevin sharp, his wife amy and their two young children sterling and

adriana died by asphyxiation. they suffocated by toxic gases. officials believe this is an isolated event. firefighters took a close look at the ventilation system and gas connections to a stove inside the resort rooms. it's still unclear what specific gas may have actually killed the family, but officials do not believe this was an act of suicide or violence. it's estimated 20 million american tourists went to mexico last year. at least 8.5 million went to quintana. relatives tell cbs news this was the sharps' second time vacationing in mexico and some family members were worried about their safety. relatives first reported the four missing when they failed to show up to a basketball game on thursday. saturday night the southwestern
