battle linked to donald trump. he is unindicted co-conspirator number one in a criminal case involving arizona elections. 11 fake electors have been indicted. they signed a certificate claiming to be arizona electors, but president biden won the state by more than 10,000, and his electors were certified. arizona's attorney general investigated for more than a year. >> the people of arizona elected president biden. unwilling to accept this fact, the defendants charged by the state grand jury allegedly schemed to prevent the lawful transfer of the presidency. other key trump allies were also indicted, including rudy giuliani and former chief of staff mark meadows. overnight, the arizona gop condemned the indictment as an unprecedented abuse of power. and donald trump has also been

indicted on federal election interfere interference charges. >> in that case he says he is shielded due to immunity. today the supreme court will hear arguments on whether that is a valid defense. but mr. trump will be in new york where his criminal hush money will continue in a few hours. we expect to hear more from david pecker. anti-war protests continue to rock college campuses across the country. 93 people were arrested at the university of southern california after they refused police commands to disperse. the pro-palestinian demonstrations were marred by vandalism. and at ut austin several faculty have said they will not teach today due to the militarized response to a school event. a ut spokesperson refused to comment. and house speaker mike johnson was booed by students

when he visited columbia university. >> i'm here today joining my colleagues in calling on president shafik to resign if she cannot immediately bring order to this chaos. >> johnson made the remarks after meeting with jewish students who say the protests are making them feel unsafe on campus. hamas in gaza has released a video of an american israeli hostage speaking directly to the camera. hersh goldberg-polin was abducted and seriously injured on october 7th. his parents are now urging the netanyahu government to reach a cease-fire and prisoner exchange deal with hamas. for more on this, let's go to matt bodner. what did we learn from the most recent hostage video? >> reporter: good morning, frances. this video was released by the military arm of hamas. they're known as the al qassam brigade. it's a propaganda video.

vows to fight it. in washington, alice barr, nbc news. idaho's near total abortion ban was argued before the supreme court. the state currently only allows abortions when the mother's life is at risk. the law requires hospitals to provide whatever treatment necessary to stabilize a patient. the liberal justices seemed concerned. >> her life is not in peril, but she's going to lose her reproductive organs, and yet idaho says, sorry, no abortion here, and the result is that these patients are now helicoptered out of state. >> idaho's attorney general says the court needs to stand by what they decided when they overturned roe versus wade, that the federal government should not dictate state laws on abortion. meanwhile, arizona's abortion ban that was enacted in 1864 closer to being repealed. the state house passed a bill that would revoke the law.

and the state senate is expected to do the same as soon as next week. the port of baltimore is opening a deeper channel today which will allow cargo ships to pass through for the first time since last month's deadly bridge collapse. five of the seven vessels stranded in the harbor will be able to pass through the channel. after that, the passage will close for another few weeks. as crews work to move the ship that crashed into the bridge. it's been ten years since the flint, michigan lead water crisis began, and since then, the state has stopped sending free bottled water to residents. but they say the pipes are still not fixed. locals are still suffering from lingering health problems, leaving them feeling abandoned. >> flint is not getting fixed. 2016, everybody stood up for us and fought for flint. we need that again. because without that external pressure, it's going to be another ten years, and then another, and another, and it's terrifying. >> while there was a lawsuit and
