5:31 pm
that will smashed into two cars and employee parking lot and friday a united airbus 320 took off from sfo headed to mexico city but had to reroute to l.a. because of a hydraulic issue. >> why are these things happening consider all of these tied to san francisco. the airbus hydraulic issue all three aircraft. each of these events is distinct and unrelated to one another. safety is our top priority and we will continue to do everything we can to keep our customers and employees eighth. but retired pilot douglas rice raised another concern about the way this is the incident was handled pointing out that video shows the rear landing gear had smoke coming off of it when it landed. fire crews inspected it before the plane taxied to the terminal on its own power. >> the crew should've stopped

the plane and have been pulled to the gate. >> reporter: according to a passenger they exited safely and were giving hotels and a return flight. airbnb is updating its security camera policy. the san francisco-based company historically allowed the use of indoor cameras in common areas of a property. if the host to disclose them on the listing page. the company is changing that. now the host will not be allowed to have security cameras indoors at all, however they still can use outdoor security cameras and noise decibel monitors on their property, they just have to tell guests about them before booking. hosts have until the end of the next month to comply. attacking facebook former president trump is calling meta

5:34 pm
therefore considered official acts. in his bid to delay the trial is successful the criminal case against him would be put on hold for several weeks if not several months. almost one week since super tuesday and results from the last election are still being tallied. majority of voters vote by mail which makes for long wait times. prop one, the ballot measure that would create bonds for mental health treatment facilities has a slight margin, 53% yes, 49.7% no votes. among the other close races, vacant congressional seat on the peninsula, that is also close so we will bring you the latest election results as they are released. right let's bring our political analyst to bring in a deeper look. some races are still too close to call because ballots are still being counted as raj mathai mentioned. that is because we have mail in voting. i am sure some are still coming in and being processed.
5:35 pm
>> that's right. eight states have all mail-in ballots and we are one of them until 7:00 or 8:00. you can put something in the mail and by the way, it's got seven days to get there so after the 12th, was that, tomorrow? that's another story but you can imagine in a male in date x million votes and tally -- 6 million votes in california coming in, a late rush we know but how many we don't and that have a lot of people on pins and needles. >> how is this affecting our local races? >> raj mathai mentioned 16 congressional district and there are about 110,000 ballots outstanding. about 350,000 have been counted and 110,000 and if you look at that chart you see about 800 votes between second and first place. these guys, anybody who says
5:36 pm
that those first two slots have been won is really jumping, it will happen but with 110,000 votes out there? not knowing where they are coming from and who voted how? no, it is something people need to be cautious about. >> that is still very tight in the top to advance. >> yes, up and down the state we have these kinds of races. it will be dozens that are not sure until up 2 30 days after the election that the counties had to count those ballots, 30 days. >> so we could be waiting another three weeks? >> yes. >> let's talk about the time, this 30 days, is that set or is there any way to shorten the time? >> it is a state law to give the counties 30 days. a big town like l.a. state law says you must spend six hours per day during the week counting those ballots. you must do that in order to keep in line with state laws so
5:37 pm
it is paced out so to speak and you can't change that very much and by the way some counties go ahead and count seven straight days and other count like saturdays only and others don't count the weekend at all so as long as you have these differences you have some counties getting things done faster than others and a lot also depends on the equipment. none of this is standardized and in the meantime there will be some races, i can guarantee this, that will not be decided until we get almost to the end of that long 30 day period. how would you like to be waiting on the other end? >> waiting on pins and needles. thanks, larry. thank you. >> think you both, we continue to celebrate women's history month and tonight there is no information about how hard women are working to give their families running. a san francisco-based company called deputy provide software to help companies manage hourly workers. according to its dater women

make up half the workforce, they also make up 60% of americans that are holding multiple jobs. the ceo deputy says those women workers are looking for flexibility. >> and the reason for that is because women tend to be the primary caregivers weather for elderly parents, whether for children and one thing that we have seen also in our data is an increase in micro shifts meaning women are working for a few hours in the morning then taking care the children or elderly parents and then working more shifts in the afternoon >> deputies research also finds almost 40% of women workers don't feel they will be taken seriously if they file a sexual assault claimant work and 23% who are black, indigenous and people of color city don't feel valued in the workplace. do you want to see how your car would you on a real racetrack? take a look at the sonoma raceway today, it was all for a

5:43 pm
he also claims the workers were not paid a prevailing wage. >> i followed up my investigation and based on that i found there were various code issues, mold on the project and of course the workers were getting cheated out of their fair wages so they were committing wage -- >> devcon the general contractor and company president gary says she denies any wage theft say workers will be paid properly and devcon is working to remove the mold. subcontractor bbc has sampled the modular unit at its factory in tracy. in a statement company ceo von buckley said "all workers onside are being paid prevailing wage rates in accordance with the crash they work." he also says all modules were delivered to the fight free of water intrusion. the company also says the mold discovered was in a laundry center, not a housing unit and has been removed.
