have that elevated risk for severe thunderstorms tomorrow. highest risk come out toward zucker middaugh, stockton, and modesto. you can see these isolated, strong thunderstorms in play during the mid morning hours, into the afternoon, this is the window to watch, peak destabilization of the atmosphere due to good daytime heating, but we'll lose that, the intensity of those storms should start to come down a bit.

five mountain bikers are recovering after being attacked by a cougar in washington. wildlife officials say the group was riding near a creek in a remote location when the attack happened. the mountain lion jumped on a 60-year-old woman. her fellow bikers detached it, pinned it down on television wildlife agent arrived. woman was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay. the cougar was six months old, it was shot and killed by wildlife officials. a second cougar was spotted by one of the cyclists, but it took off. officials say cougar attacks on humans are extremely where. meda ceo mark zuckerberg was spotted last night, but not in tech mode by any stretch, more like attack mode, making an appearance, a ufc 298 at the honda center, zuckerberg posted this video on his instagram, with australian fighter

we continue our series discovering black heritage, the one bay area man is using music to spread culture. join us monday morning, starting at 5:00 a.m. steph curry represented the golden state warriors during his 10th nba all-star game tonight. >> he scored 16 points, chipped in eight assists coming off the bench and the 2024 all-star game at indianapolis. the title of mvp went to damien lillard of the milwaukee bucks, who hails from oakland. he scored 39 points including 11 threes to lead the eastern conference to a, get this score, 211-186 when over the west. that was wild.

next year, nba all-star game coming to the bay, the 74th all- star game set for fairbury 16th of next year, chase center san francisco, all-star events will take place across the bay area that weekend, that will be a heck of a party. the san jose earthquakes are celebrating a major milestone in style, the team just revealed its new alternate jersey for its 50th anniversary, it's called the 50 kit, the jersey is red and white which are the initial colors of the team, the teams that it evokes memories of its early days. the earthquakes also held a 50th anniversary block party at san pedro square this afternoon. fans who went could see the new jersey in person and meet players, past and present among the crowd, former earthquakes player jimmy conrad. >> i think it's important for any club to get into the community, and to be seen, to be visible, to make sure that the players can get to meet the fans, know who they're playing for, put faces to names and faces to cheers and claps. and then, conversely, the fans

today, the senate's top democrat called on the house speaker to pass ukraine aid to stop boudin. >> navalny's death makes it more urgent that we pass the national security supplemental. the bipartisan bill currently sits at the feet of speaker johnson and boudin is watching. former president trump just launched a new sneaker line. truly. the presidential candidate made the announcement while attending a sneaker collectors event in philadelphia. the line is called trump sneakers and features three different pairs of shoes, they include hightops, and red or white lace list use. they cost between 200 and $400 a pair. they're available for preorder online, i don't think that's ever happened before. >> two to $400. this weekend marks an emotional anniversary for historic church in the east bay.

that was the sound of oakland's first african famed church or choir this morning, the congregation is marking one year since the fire got of the church which dates back to the 1920s. here's a look at the planes and the damage from one year ago. the church is known as the east bay's oldest black church with roots as a school for minorities before it became a house of worship here this weekend, fame is holding a three-day commemorative weekend to mark its resurrection story, currently holding services at a different location. it's not clear when the church will be ready to move back into. so liberty pastor joel osteen preached in his first sunday services since the shooting last weekend that injured two people at his houston church. the alleged shooter walked into the church with her seven-year- old son last sunday, then opened fire with an automatic rifle. two security officers returned fire, killing her. her son was shot in the head

near 60, around the tri-valley, talk about mid to late morning, back up into 42 maybe 50 miles per hour, closer to pacifica and half moon bay and then by midafternoon, it is starting to come down. by tomorrow evening and tomorrow night like we see right now, decreasing as we head into monday night and tuesday morning. still seeing some roaming downpours throughout the bay area right now, right near the marin headlines at four, on

approach here into the north bay and it is a very interesting regionally thunderstorms inland across the arterial a lot of thunderstorms more here, the colder air, the recipes come into play, the southwest went a lot, southwind below, the turn here, the wind, the daytime heating, the recipe potentially for the restaurant, severe weather tomorrow morning. solano county and to your portions of contra costa elevated counties and danville and that elevated risk for potential severe weather during the day tomorrow, and this is what we will be contending with on the radar, these isolated areas potentially strong thunderstorms in this environment. special marine warnings and gusty winds and damaging wind gust for potential waterspouts, we might get that tomorrow, in addition to the better chance of isolated tornadoes from chico down into sacramento and modesto, that is the area and

yellow. the risk of that during the day tomorrow, during tuesday, scattered showers, thunderstorms will still be a part of the forecast but not currently expected to be of the severe variety, the bay area still seeing some rain at times on top of the four and half inches of rain, this week and that has fallen and looked like this between now and 5:00 tuesday, could see another 3 to 5 inches of rain. flood watch into affect and we will catch a sierra eventually colder air comes in and total through tuesday, the two to three feet of snow, even for south lake tahoe. want to get that colder air down at the lake level, potentially another for the three feet of snow, once the skies start to clear mid week we catch that break and the weather, thursday to friday. right now, chance of showers but that storm looks particularly bleaker than the

firefighters in sonoma county, when a cat got stuck in the tree. >> they still do this, folks. crews said the couple was walking the cat on a leash, it got loose, ran up a tree, they try to get it down but the lease got tangled on a branch. what are you going to do? you can't just stand there. the rain is going to be coming at some . so you call the fire department. the firefighters used a ladder , went up, got the cat, returned the cat to its rightful owners. >> very nice. it looks like maybe they got caught with a break in the rain during that time. right now what is a look like? please see the outline aiming out of the north bay? that is what we have to watch for these lines, the really high rain rates sitting with a chance of thunderstorms, potentially severe storms tomorrow, showers continuing through next week. >> all right, thanks for watching, have a great night
