this proposal in a positive spirit, but, as ever, these deals are all about negotiations and concessions, and a major sticking point remains, whether they agree to a temporary pause in fighting or an all-out cease-fire now hamas proposing in a very detailed response published by a lebanese newspaper, a three-stage cease-fire plan in 45-day increments that would see in, change for the release of hostages in gaza the release of palestinian prisoners, the reconstruction of gaza and the complete withdrawal of israeli forces now secretary of state blinken, once again, meeting with leaders in the region, saying that there is still a lot of work to be done but we are continuing to believe that an agreement is possible and indeed essential now he's met with leaders from saudi arabia, qatar and egypt. today today he's in israel to discuss the proposal with leaders there. the ultimate goal, of course, is
