12:02 pm
state of california as the costly recovery is leading us off for nbts and so now, let's go out to dana, and how is the storm today? >> well, things are starting to dry out today, and this is maybe a time for people to start cleaning up. we saw some crews over there by the closed businesses, and trying to clean up some of the debris that made it inside of the business, which is going to include the capital wharf, and big beam sitting in the middle of one of the business. we have seen mudslides and a highway unindated with so much mud and debris, that the officials had to shut it down, and they will keep it closed for several weeks, because so many homes are impacted by it.
12:03 pm
they say that kate >> >> thereis any word from officials about the final cost? >> we have spoken to some officials who said that the cost across the region will be millions if not billions to repair. again, a lot of the people are just starting to assess the damage, because it is so wet, and officials did not want to start that recovery until things are to watch out for. it looks like some relief. >> yes, some difficult spots, and out in san diego, someone had driven into a swollen creek, but they did survive. out in golden state park, a tree fell and killed someone. so there are isolated concerns, but the rain is dwindling.

house republicans called for the release of the logs. carol lee is joining us, and there are a lot of moving parts of the story, and hard to keep track of the documents, and take a step back, and what do we know about these documents so far? >> sure. on november 2nd, a group of documents, and we are told fewer than a dozen were found that were left when president biden left when he was a secretary to president obama. one of them is ranked very, very high clearance. then on december 8th, the president's men found another group of small documents. we don't know the classification
12:06 pm
of those documents. and then there were in a room adjacent to the garage, more documents. we don't know the level of that classification. so that is the scope of what the president was learning about this, and he is frustrated it is >> and carole, the white house is and there a lot of hipocracy to those calling for investigation, and those criticizing president biden for the way he handled the paper, and those same democrats were not making the same calls when it was president trump who had documents at his mar-a-lago home. and so they say that there is no credibility, because president biden is doing the right thing, and he is fully cooperating with
