at the university of pennsylvania, tracking the very latest for us, victor. >> good morning, michael, around the country, tensions ratcheting up around college campuses. let's start at the university of arizona where they are gearing up for the graduation ceremony later today. law enforcement spring what appears to be teargas on 100 protesters gathered by the university's main gate. this is the second time this month chemical irritants have been used to disperse protesters on campus. at george washington university in d.c., hundreds of protesters gathering on a seat that includes the home of the president of the university, shutting down traffic and setting up tents, this comes one day after police cleared the encampment on campus. and here in los angeles at the university of southern california, after canceling the university's official school wide graduation, the university opting for what they call a celebration at the memorial coliseum, students instead of walking on stage and

getting a diploma, they were treated to a drone and fireworks show. >> victor oquendo for us, thank you. now to the fallout of president biden's warning to israel that he will hold some weapons deliveries if it invades the city of rafah, mary bruce has the latest. good morning. >> this morning the rift between u.s. and israel is only deepening. prime minister netanyahu defiant bowing to go it alone after president biden warned that the u.s. will not provide weapons to invade rafah. netanyahu saying they will fight with their fingernails if need be to eliminate hamas. to this morning as president biden threatens to further withhold u.s. weapons from israel, prime minister netanyahu firing back. "if we have to stand alone, we will stand alone" he said after biden and his most direct warning at said the u.s. would not provide israel with weapons to attack rafah.

fearing american weapons could be used to kill more innocent civilians. the white house stressing the u.s. and israel share the same goal to eradicate hamas. but spokesman john kirby saying smashing into rafah and the president's view will not advance that objective. but netanyahu disagrees. israel making it clear they will move ahead with or without u.s. support. >> we often have agreement comes but we have had our disagreements. we have been able to overcome them. i hope we can overcome them now. but we will do what we have to do. to protect our country. and that means to protect our future, and that means that we will defeat hamas including in rafah. >> meanwhile some republicans including donald trump are accusing president biden of abandoning a critical ally, but the president insists the u.s. is not walking away from israel, the administration will continue to provide for israel's defense. meanwhile though cease-fire talks have stalled. israel insisting that any

use new technology to prevent plans on runways and increase the cockpit recorder link from two to 25 hours. $125 billion bill of course reauthorizes the faa for an additional five years and pass the senate which strong bipartisan support that the house is expected to take this up very quickly, but it will of course be down to the wire. the current lock inspires just one week putting thousands at risk of being furloughed. rebecca. >> rebecca: but families might be able to sit together without those awkward interactions. will you trade seats with us? all right, rachel, thank you. we turn out to the florida man surviving a shark attack after falling into the water in the bahamas. stephanie ramos joins us with his terrifying story. good morning, stephanie. >> reporter: rebecca, good morning, a frightening scene as this young man slipped while trying to get onto a boat, fell into the water where multiple sharks were swimming. this morning one fisherman is speaking out after surviving a

brutal shark attack. >> next second i'm in the water with a lot of sharks. i knew immediately, i've got to get back in the boat or this is going to be really bad. >> reporter: 24-year-old marlon wakeman was on a fishing trip in the southern bahamas late last month when he fell into the water. >> i was still holding onto the boat when i got bit. >> reporter: he says the waters and clearance town find fish marina are infested with dozens of sharks, a popular spot to clean fish and throw scraps. >> the sharks have learned that there is regular amounts of food being tossed into the ocean hear from these fishermen. when they get in that feeding frenzy, they are out there to compete against other sharks, they want to get as much food as it can as quickly as they can. >> i was under water a few seconds and mainly the worst thing i thought was i don't want to get eaten by ten sharks. >> reporter: wakeman was stitched up in the bahamas and flew back to florida the next day. doctors believe that shark was at least 7 feet and his wound more than a foot long, just missing his artery. >> so the fact that there are 20 sharks in there and you were
