from the south. that will mean a lot of rain, especially at the coast on saturday. we are talking super soaker washington, d.c., philadelphia, new york city, boston and watch this green part, too, away from the coast of lake city or providence, a lot of people 4-8 inches above average, so saturated and this weekend will get worse. >> robin: this is another type of march madness. >> ginger: it sure is. >> robin: we will check back in a moment. but now an investigation into an alarming airport security breach and how a man was able to get on a delta air lines flight in utah without a ticket. our transportation correspondent, gio benitez, is tracking this for us. good morning to you. >> gio: hey, robin, this is incredible. the fbi is investigating because this man allegedly made it on the delta flight without a ticket like you said. here is what the court documents say, the 26-year-old man caught on camera sunday at salt lake city taking photos of multiple passengers' phones and boarding passes while they were

not looking. he then used his phone as a boarding pass to get on that plane. now, once on board, he entered the laboratory until the doors were shut and began to taxi. a flight attendant approached him and realized the man did not have a ticket receipt. the plane arrested with stowing away on an aircraft. it turns out the man was booked on two standby flights southwest, but both of those were full. so, he actually tried to get on the delta flight. he told investigators it was a mistake and he was only trying to get home. delta says it is cooperating with the investigation, but without a doubt, look at this, this was a serious security breach. so, they have to look at this. this investigation is very, very critical, george. >> george: gio, thank you very much. the donald trump's financial latest now on troubles, challenging his claim he cannot raise nearly $500 million bond that the court is demanding in a civil fraud case. aaron katersky is at the trump tower, which could be seized by the estate,

good morning, aaron. >> good morning to you, george, it was unusual to hear someone so boast about his wealth said he could not obtain a bond, and the new york attorney general wants donald trump to try harder. this morning, new york attorney general, letitia james, urging an appeals court to ignore donald trump's claim that securing the bond is a practical impossibility. his lawyer said trump is facing insurmountable difficulties in obtaining a bond to guarantee he can pay if he loses his appeal at nearly $500 billion civil fraud judgment. they say more than 30 insurance companies turned him down, they asked for a court permission post a smaller font or none at all. there was a critical deadline. if trump fails to secure a guarantee by monday, james can begin to drain his bank accounts and seizes real estate. >> are you prepared to have the state moved to seize trump's assets? we are prepared to who make sure it is paid to new yorkers.

department choppers flying 30 americans out of port-au-prince after weeks of chaos. gangs have a stranglehold on the capital city where many americans are still trapped. >> you can hear the gunshots, and you can hear it at night. >> this american hoping to leave port-au-prince today on a state department flight. he chose not to disclose his identity on camera out of fear of gang violence. >> you consider yourself one of the lucky ones? >> that is right. >> because they were so many haitians here, people that you know can't be. >> that is right. >> and of course, americans do have somewhere else to go. haitians that want to leave do not. and the ports closed by the gangs, an official in haiti told me yesterday that this country could quite literally run out of food within the next two weeks. george. >> george: what a desperate situation, okay, matt, thank you. to washington where the biden

administration announcing a new round of debt relief for tens of thousands of borrowers who work in public service. senior white house correspondent selena wang has the details, selena. >> selena: hey, good morning, george. more student loan relief focusing on key campaign promise, and this morning the president is canceling nearly $6 billion in student debt for 78,000 public service workers. now, these are nurses, teachers, firefig and others currently enrolled in the loan program. they will get an email from the president telling them about this relief. now with this latest move, the white house said this administration has canceled a total of $144 billion in debt for nearly 4 million americans. and they say that another nearly 400,000 public service workers are on track to have their student loans forgiven in coming two years. last year, remember, the supreme court struck down biden's plan for all borrowers making less than $125,000 a year. but the president has found ways around that to cancel more

student debt for borrowers. now, with the general election heating up, this person is eager to show the core group of voters he has not given up yet. this morning vowing to use all the tools he can to cancel more student debt for more americans and borrowers, robin. >> robin: all right, selena, thank you. new details into an investigation of possible breach of princess kate's medical records as we learn when she may return to her royal duties. maggie remains outside of buckingham palace for us, good morning, maggie. >> maggie: good morning, robin, we hear princess kate feeling well enough to do some work from home. we also understand that she has been made aware of this potential breach. >> this morning new details about the report of an attempt to breach of kate middleton's iptv reporting three members of staff from the exclusive london clinic are being investigated for allegedly trying to access kate's records after she underwent abdominal surgery in january. a spokesperson from the u.k. privacy watchdog telling "abc news" it received a breach

report without kate's records and assessing the information provided. buckingham palace not commenting saying, "it is a matter for the clinic." the clinic famous for treating members of the royal family including king charles who was there the same time as kate. despite the latest scandal to rock the royal family, prince william all visiting with welsh guard, emily windsor. tmz with video of the couple looking relaxed after shopping at a local market. now new reports kate may make reentrance into royal duties on easter sunday. >> if she goes to church, i'm sure that will -- but not completely. the reality is this probably would have never happened if they didn't get more open about it. but i fully understand when it comes to your medical health, it is your business. >> guys, even with all the intense focus on the royals right now, the family is trying to put their heads down and do

>> 31-year-old skylar meade serving a 20-year sentence in maximum-security prison was transported to the hospital late tuesday night for what officials said were self-inflicted wounds that required emerging care. as he was leaving the hospital, an accomplice identified overnight as nicholas umpphenour opened fire hitting two of the corrections officers when they were escaping. >> last seen traveling in a gray honda civic with two plates occupied by two. >> in the ensuing chaos, an officer responded to the scene mistakingly shot a guard at the emergency room entrance. he was convicted at shooting at an office officer a high-speed chase back in 2017, officials also say he was part of a white supremacist gang. >> the three officers shot are in stable condition and expected to survive. he was not due to leave prison until 2036, and the police say he can be anywhere, and he is clearly dangerous, robin.

>> robin: a scary, scary situation, victor. now, to the new records on wall street after critical decision by the federal reserve. elizabeth schulze with what it means for your credit card debt, 401(k), or taking out a new loan, good morning, elizabeth. >> elizabeth: good morning, the federal reserve is fueling this rally in the stock market. the dow jones industrial average surged 100 points, and that is up 1% to a new all-time high. the s&p 500, nasdaq hit new records and the big picture of the s&p up 10% so far this year. to put that into a dollar amount, the typical 401(k) balance is up almost $12,000 of the year. traders are taking comfort in the fact that the fed is still on track to cut interest rates three times this year. the fed is hopeful that inflation is improving enough that they will be able to move forward with the rate cuts, possibly as soon as june. and that would help lower cost if you are trying to take out a new

heavy snow on the way from minnesota to maine. the northeast bracing for a weekend washout. also right now, two have been sentenced for their part in the torture of two black men. a judge gave sheriff deputy 40 years in prison and another officer receives 17 and a half years in prison. then, they call themselves the goons squad. the remaining two officers will be sentenced later today. >> michael: take a look at this video, a huge gust of wind sent this hot air balloon straight into a power line to minnesota. three people on board and, thankfully, no one was seriously injured. and we've got a lot more ahead including white female crash dummies could save lives. the "gma" investigation is coming up. for now, we will turn to the scandal of one of baseball's biggest stars. the dodgers have fired the interpreter for shohei ohtani, a massive theft for ohtani to pay off gambling debts. whit johnson has the story, good morning. >> whit: the dodgers shohei ohtani major league

in oregon an hour outside of portland last night around 7:30 local time after being stuck the snow on mount hood for 24 hours. but they were hiking on tuesday when they got stuck in several feet of snow. the family had no cell service, but one member pressed the sos button on the phone and that gave authorities exact location. it still took hours to be rescued because of trail conditions. now the deschutes county sheriff's office said they were thankful for all the help they received from other local agencies and volunteers. once rescuers reach the hikers, they made sure they were safe here they built a fire to keep everyone warm. guys, we are told once they were safe at the base camp, they actually celebrated by eating pizza. it sound like a good celebration to me.
